Springfield City Library ADULT SUMMER READING CLUB - LIBRARY BINGO! June 22-August 22, 2015 Read books, write reviews and attend library programs while earning chances to win one of our exciting raffle prizes! This year we introduce a fun bingo game to add variety and give members more ways to participate! For more information please call any of our branches, or the Central Library at 413-263-6828, ext. 213. Join to earn chances to win by completing bingo rows on each of three different bingo cards, given out in sequence. Card squares relate to reading, reviewing, information technology, etc. Raffle tickets are awarded for each completed row. You can complete more than one row per card. Stop by any Springfield City Library branch to pick up your first bingo card and review the rules. 12 raffle drawings- Six on Tuesday, July 21 (prizes will be mailed directly to the winners), and six raffle drawings/prizes given out at the Finale, Thursday, August 27. Completed bingo rows must be recorded by Saturday, July 18 at 5 p.m. to be eligible for the first six raffle drawings, and by Saturday, August 22 at 5 p.m. for the final six drawings and prizes. Simple Instructions- Complete a row, earn a raffle ticket. The center BONUS square earns two raffle tickets each time it intersects a completed row (potential 8 tickets!). Earn five more raffle tickets for completing the entire card yielding a total of 21 chances to win Note: If you do not complete the BONUS square it becomes a FREE square, earning no bonus tickets. Record what you’ve done on the back of the card. Once you complete a row, show your card to a librarian so that they can enter your tickets in the drawings. You can complete more than one row per card. Programs- Pick up a copy of our June, July, and August programming brochures to see what programs you can attend to earn bingo squares. All adult library programs offered between June 22 and August 22, 2015 qualify. If you prefer, visit the library’s website to learn more about our fun and educational programs offered this summer. We’ll have many from book discussion groups, art workshops, author events, computer classes, and lots more. Prizes are a variety of gift cards, $25-$50 each, to local shops and restaurants such as Barnes & Noble, Hot Table Café, Leone’s Restaurant, Friendly’s Restaurant, and the Puerto Rican Bakery. Members also have a chance to win the two grand prizes, $70 value, for “Most Bingo Squares Completed,” first and second place winners. Online- Bingo cards are available on our website at http://www.springfieldlibrary.org/library/src/. If club members prefer using e-cards they can visit our website, open the e-card file, and complete it as they progress through the game. Once you complete a row on the e-card, please email the updated card to the Central Library’s reference staff at
[email protected]. The Finale will be celebrated in the Mason Square Branch Library Community Room on Thursday, August 27 from 5:30-8 p.m., with tempting hors d’oeuvres, the final eight prizes, an exciting game of library jeopardy and more! Invitations will be mailed to club members in early August; please watch for yours and remember to send in your RSVP!
