Ethic Statement

Journal of Islamic Perspective on Science, Technology and Society (JISTECS) is motivated by the progressive researches in many disciplines during the last century on the one hand and the lack of spiritual values in such researches on the other hand leading to less enlightening science for humanity and civilization.

Ensuring the quality, an accountable peer-review system and strict ethical policies standard are applied by JISTECS. It is necessary to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer-review, and the publisher. JISTECS seriously takes ethical issues and our editors are trained to proceed in such cases with a zero tolerance policy. Fair play mechanism is applied; in which JISTECS at any time evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.

Hence, JISTECS attempts to develop proper links between science and Islam as a way of life that has a specific view on science and civilization. For this purpose, we design JISTECS as a unique peer-reviewed open access on-line scientific journal that provides an interdisciplinary, international and interfaith forum for scientist from any discipline areas. JISTECS is regularly published by Association of Indonesian Moslem Scholar (PRIMA) enables the PRIMA to expand the service to provide an intellectual forum to assess relation of science and technology with Islamic society. It encourages reflective thinking and progressive working toward development of science and technology in Islamic world. In addition, JISTECS welcomes interfaith scholars to actively join, as we believe that development of Islam is important for world society, regardless of ideology. Aims JISTECS is a unique peer-reviewed open access on-line scientific journal that provides an interdisciplinary, international and interfaith forum for scientist from any discipline areas. JISTECS welcomes submissions of review and regular research papers. JISTECS is regularly published by Association of Indonesian Moslem Scholar (PRIMA) aiming to publish papers using Islamic perspective as a framework to carry out researches in multidisciplines and submit proper recommendations. Consequently, it moves the framework out of laboratory to a public domain and impact development of science and technology for Islamic society. Compared with other existing scientific journals, some features of JISTECS are unique. To date, JISTECS is the first ever journal that allows interdisciplinary, international and interfaith scientist to publish their works on relation of Islam and science, technology and community. Scope JISTECS covers many disciplines including natural and social science as well as engineering. This journal encourages submission of original papers as well as reviews that meet at least one of the following criteria: 

Empirical researches which are applied in Moslem countries and convey a significant contribution to a better development in the Moslem world Either empirical or theoretical studies that show the application of Sharia or Islamic concept in many disciplines including natural science, politics, economics, education, law, etc Studies that contribute to learn from any failures due to the ignorance of Islamic principles in many disciplines including natural science, politics, economics, education, law, etc Studies exploring creations of the Creator (Allah) that are motivated by the words of the Creator (the Holy Quran).

Printing and binding For some purposes, printed version of JISTECS might be required for some parties. JISTECS hosts a printing and binding requisition service providing an official print version of all JISTECS articles in certain edition. Kindly contact us for detail information. Online advertising and announcement JISTECS highly supports worldwide scientific activities: conferences, workshop and so on. We provide free space for an online advertising and announcement of those scientific activities. For commercial advertisement, we may charge you based on the pixel size. Publisher PRIMA (Vereinigung indonesischer muslimischen Intellektuellen e.V.) or Associaton of Indonesian Moslem Scholars is independent, intelectual and non-profit organization which promoting better scientific and technological advancement, good governance and clean government, welfare and health society in the Moslem world. Since its establishment in 2009, many researchers, students and professionals had joined PRIMA.
