Emotion Intelligence 1:00 pm 4:30 pm Banyan

Thirty plus years of research at Harvard University shows that Emotional Intelligence is twice as significant as IQ and technical skills as a predictor of success.  Have you ever been in a situation where you “froze” yet knew what you coulda’, woulda’ shoulda’ said as you drove home?  Have you had the experience of going into a meeting committed to saying “no” to one more thing, and leave, having said yes?  Have you intended to communicate one thing, and yet it was heard differently?  Are there people in your life who know how to “push your buttons”?  Would you like to learn skills to build bridges during conflict?  Are you looking to become more self aware and to learn ways to influence others? During our time together, we will:  Explore what the competencies of Emotional Intelligence are and why it makes a difference professionally and personally  Examine what pushes our “buttons”  Learn skills to manage our emotions  Appreciate the different ways to respond to conflict  Learn the difference between intention and impact
