IV Infusion sets with in-line filter VIWO medical IV Infusion sets are equipped with in-line filters. Its 0.2 µm hydrophilic PES membrane has low protein and drug binding properties. This type of filter is able to remove particles larger than 0.2 μm and all fungi and bacteria and can also be recommended as air eliminating filter. 0.2 μm filter is recommended for the following applications: ■■ Neonate and pediatric IV therapy ■■ Antibiotic therapy ■■ Drug delivery therapy in oncology (recommended for Taxol infusion) On request the filter in different sizes with filtering area from 1.6 to 5.0 cm2 are available.
