Take 5 - Our Stories
CAROLINE I joined the IT division of the Central Bank in 2008 and have never looked back. It’s been such an interesting and enjoyable environment to work in. The bank has always been fully supportive of training in order to keep skills up to date (which is very important in the IT industry). Also, the camaraderie and support between colleagues is excellent where everyone freely shares their knowledge. Between the knowledge sharing and training, my skillset has grown from strength to strength. I’ve also found some great friends along the way!
I have been working for Central Bank of Ireland for more than two years. The Bank has continually provided me with the opportunity to enhance and develop my professional skills. It is an enjoyable workplace and it helped me to have colleagues of such high calibre around me. People are energetic and committed to their work. The Central Bank of Ireland is an institution in which I feel I can grow in my career and develop as an individual. Erika Alarcon Software Developer

CIARÁN
I have been working in the Central Bank for over seven years. I began my career as a Software Developer and now hold the position of Application Support Manager. It is very rewarding to support the great work of the various functions of the Central Bank, from troubleshooting the smallest statistical calculation, to delivering a new data collection feature on the enterprise sized online reporting system. The IT department in the Bank always tries to adopt the latest technology trends to enable the business to work as effectively and efficiently as possible. It is easy to develop and maintain cutting edge technical skills here.
Ciarán Murphy Application Support Manager
I’ve been working in the Central Bank for two years now, and I couldn’t be happier. The work environment is great! I’m learning new stuff every day. I feel I’m making a positive contribution to the economy in both Ireland and Europe.
Antonio Quesada Software Developer I’ve been working for Central Bank for just over six months as a solution developer. The Bank have always had a good reputation for looking after their staff and I have certainly found this to be the case. The opportunities for personal and career development coupled with the friendly working environment have helped make the experience both professionally stimulating and enjoyable. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Bank as a place to work.
