I once read that when one attains enlightenment, he or she will see God in everyone and everything, and that everything is connected through divinity. That statement helped me to realize I have a way to go before becoming an enlightened being. And I’m pretty sure a few people would second that. I can totally get everything being connected through divinity, but I have a hard time seeing God in some people, places and things. Last month I toured Mansfield Reformatory. The prison was built in the 1800s and supposed to have a maximum population of 1,200. Mansfield was closed in 1990 because of excessive crowding – 3,600 people crammed into 8-by-10 cells. These cells had two prisoners in each, with barely any more room for their bunks, a toilet and sink. Some of the prisoners had to spend up to 23 hours a day in their cell. It is said to be haunted and actually hosts ghost-hunting tours every Friday night – with upwards of 100 people a week. The best way to describe what I saw would be that it was the most hideous place I have ever been in. I could not imagine spending a day locked up, let alone years. So I didn’t really see too much of God there. I couldn’t get out of my head what the prisoners probably were like and went through. That heavy energy is still present more than 20 later. It is where they filmed the movie Shawshank Redemption and if you saw that movie you get a pretty good idea of what I toured. Looking at that experience several weeks ago and 100 miles away, I can say yes -  God was there. I believe our connection with the Creator is one of co-creators. Though God may not have made the prison, we did. And God made us. So the creator is part of the creation. A Course in Miracles, by the Foundation for Inner Piece, claims that all will reach enlightenment – just from different paths. Perhaps the path for each of us is as challenging as we choose it to be. The enlightenment is there; we just have to lift the veil and see the connection to all. May we each feel the connection to each other and our Creator and do our part to lift the veil. ~Namasté Clyde

Clintonville Community Market Earlier this year at the Clintonville Community Market co-op, we invested considerable resources into revamping our cooperative mission. We wanted to demonstrate our commitment to the Clintonville community by maximizing our offerings of healthy and local foods, by organizing a friendlier and more open shopping environment, and by providing some of the best niche markets to complement our diverse selections. One of our most unique specialty markets is our bulk herb collection. We offer access to over 600 organic and/or wild-crafted herbs. Our herbs come from all over the world, but we are trying to encourage the development of local sources for those herbs that are indigenous to our corner of the world. These herbs are offered in bulk to provide convenience and affordability; members and customers can purchase exactly the amounts they want and not pay for packaging. More significantly, we now have a very experienced, knowledgeable herbalist on staff. Kathryn, “Kat”, Firor makes herself available Monday through Friday by sharing amazing and practical information with anyone who stops by the herb department. True to our values of cooperation, sustainability and education, Kat has led members of our community on neighborhood walks to identify usable herbs. She has taught us to identify edible “weeds” and how to differentiate them from toxic look-alikes. We have learned to use the jewel-weed to make ice cubes that offer relief from poison ivy. We have learned that 75% of the “weeds” that grow in our community are edible, and many of them are high in antioxidants. She has taught us to only use the plants we need and to share with all wildlife. These walks have been fascinating and have changed my outlook on plants, health and sustainability! ~ Submitted by Karen Hansen

The Front Porch “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us. And the world will live as one.” ~ John Lennon

Seven Facts About the Mind – Body Connection 1. We All Have The Mind-Body Connection. Whether consciously aware of it or not, each of us experiences the mind-body connection everyday of our lives. Instead of thinking of the connection as something far out of reach, or something only obtainable through hours of yoga and meditation, remember it is always here. Mouth-watering over a delicious-looking dessert, or nervous “butterflies” in the stomach before making a presentation, or running a race, are all perfect examples of natural mind-body connections. 2. Our Bodies React To How We Think In other words, if we are constantly thinking negative, self-destructive thoughts, our bodies will follow suit. Emotional and mental imbalance can start as something like stressinduced headaches, tight shoulders, and a sore upper back, and lead to unhealthy weight gain or loss, insomnia, and high blood pressure. On the other hand, we can make a conscious effort to think more positively and to develop healthy coping mechanisms for life’s stress and trials. Over time, the state of our emotional and mental health can hurt or help the body’s immune system. 3. We Can Make Ourselves Sick And We Can Make Ourselves Well. Studies show our coping mechanisms and ways we handle stress directly correlate to how we deal with serious illnesses, including cancer. Chronic stress affects the body in a negative way, and over long periods of time, long-term stress can make us more susceptible to diabetes, hypertension, heart diseases, and some infections. However, by using our innate mind-body connection in a positive the

Journey

way, by keeping our minds and bodies in shape with exercise and nutrition, we can keep stress levels lower. 4. We Also Have A BODY-Mind Connection. For example, when women’s bodies are preparing for menstruation, it is the hormones inside the body causing all of the dreaded symptoms (cramps, bloating, fatigue, emotional imbalance, etc.). Another example of body-mind reactions is the flu. More than likely, a person starts to feel out of sorts mentally the day or a few days before the body exposes the sore throat, nasal congestion, and other common physical symptoms. On the flip side, body-mind connection is incredibly positive, whether it is endorphins produced after exercise or stress relief during a massage. In the physical postures of yoga, it has been discovered certain poses produce certain mental states. Backbends, for example, usually stimulate the mind, while inversions usually bring on a quieter state. Exercise is a cheap way to boost our focus, moods, and overall health. 5. Food Affects Both Our Bodies & Minds It goes back to that old saying, “We are what we eat.” Every single morsel or liquid passing through our lips has some sort of effect on our brains. Our nutritional intake, every September • October 2013

day, can have huge impacts –- both negative and positive — on how we feel, thanks mostly to the chemical serotonin. In a nutshell, when serotonin levels are high, we’re happier, and when they’re low, we become depressed. Eating too many carbs and sugar can decrease sensitivity to serotonin, which leads to bad moods, and eventually obesity. To balance serotonin levels, eating protein can be the solution, especially before carb-intake. 6. Regular Sleep Is A Must For Mind And Body Aside from food and exercise, sleep also plays an enormous role in maintaining healthy serotonin levels, and keeping our minds and bodies happy with each other. Serotonin’s primary action in the body is to sedate, therefore, it is closely tied to how energy is — or is not — expended (i.e. exercise and sleep). Without sleep, our brains can be negatively affected, by messing with our brain’s response to serotonin. 7. Meditation Can Help Our Hearts. Meditating for about 15 minutes daily can help anyone who wants to stay centered and calm throughout the day. Exercises like meditation can help shift mental perceptions and reactions to situations. By becoming aware of tension and anxiety, and connecting to the breath, the mind will relax and the body will too. Even taking a few moments out of a stressful day to breathe quietly can have similar effects. Page 7

“Mind can accept any boundary anywhere. But the reality is that, by its very nature, existence cannot have any boundary, because what will be beyond the boundary? - again another sky. That’s why I am saying skies upon skies are available for your flight. Don’t be content easily. Those who remain content easily remain small: small are their joys, small are their ecstasies, small are their silences, small is their being. But there is no need! This smallness is your own imposition upon your freedom, upon your unlimited possibilities, upon your unlimited potential.” ~ Osho

Gratitude: How Grace Learned to Love Herself disrespected herself; when she was sending a message out to the universe: “I am not worthy of love.” For the way one treats him or herself is the way (even if it’s subconscious) one is asked to be treated by others. Grace couldn’t be love, so she kept attracting people with the same dysfunctional tendencies. Instead, she became those people because her identity seemed far too fragmented. Little did she know they were all mirrors; mirroring her ego, her most deep-rooted fears and insecurities. Most of all, they were teachers that may have not looked the part, but ultimately aided in her transformation.

By Eva Xanthopoulos An individual who experiences abuse, both emotional and physical, oftentimes becomes closed off to life’s beautiful flow. It’s normally out of fear, mistrust or even intense selfpity. An individual who experiences enough agony for a prolonged period of time may seek something outside of the self as an escape from all the negativity – potentially attracting even more of it.

She sought solace outside of the self, for if within was divine why would she have went through so much hardship? Other times, when all other “escapes” fail, one looks up to the sky and wonders if that infinitude might quite possibly reside inside of them. That’s when Source, the Universe, God/dess speaks and one is able to listen. She – let’s call her Grace – was all three. It took many years of psychological, physical and even sexual abuse for Grace to get to the point of selfrealization and spiritual awakening. Not to mention addictions, being around the wrong crowd, and many dangerous situations that could have easily been avoided. She sought solace outside of the self, for if within was divine why would she have went through so much hardship? She thought recklessness in the form of drugs and sex could be a “fix.” She thought a boyfriend would make all her problems go away and validate her as a human being. If someone loved her enough, she’d surely forget everything that had happened to her and finally feel complete. But how could anyone love her the right way when she Page 10

As an Agnostic at the time, a strand of her did feel like “something” may be looking over her. For it was quite a mystery to her how she was still alive and partially sane despite all the close calls. Yet, she constantly wished for additional proof. A feeling of disconnect from Divine – from herself – ensued up until the age of 21. As an Agnostic at the time, a strand of her did feel like “something” may be looking over her. For it was quite a mystery to her how she was still alive and partially sane despite all the close calls. Yet she constantly wished for additional proof. Her celestial saviours soon came in the forms least expected: books! You’re Not Who You Think You Are by Albert Clayton Gaulden found her as she was sifting through a box of discounted books at the local Borders. Something within her whispered, “The next book you touch will be the book you purchase.” The subtitle – A Breakthrough Guide to Discovering The Authentic You – resonated with her so deeply that she listened to the voice without questioning it. Upon reading the whole thing, she started getting to know her true self and started, to her surprise, loving herself. Beneath all the layers of negative subconscious programming and self-loathing, a powerhouse of love dwelled. Months later the The Secret by Rhonda Byrne found her as well as an entire series of other self-help books, spiritual seminars, inspirational people... she

had become a positivity magnet. The Secret, based off the Law of Attraction, inspired Grace to start writing in a gratitude journal. “I am so grateful now that I am balanced. I am so grateful now that I am happy. I am so grateful now that I love and respect myself...” She didn’t genuinely believe any of those things for she had yet to believe in herself fully. But every night before going to bed she wrote in that journal. Months went by, then a year. She had filled many notebooks with gratitude and kept them in her little mystical altar. The more she wrote, the more she started to believe and the more magnetic to energies of high vibration she became. Before Grace knew it, she delved into spirituality even further and unlocked her inner limitless potential. She got to know her spiritual self, and realized her physical body was the celestial vessel, a temple for her inner sacred. And by connecting the two bodies, she was able to open up to life’s beautiful, ever-giving flow. Eva Xanthopoulos is a mystical poet and artist who recently graduated from Cleveland State University with a B.A. in Creative Writing. She feels like the most beautiful poetry is contained in the present moment and her life-long aspiration is to inspire others through words and images. The Metaphysical Bible By Barbara Y. Martin and Dimitri Moraitis

E

mbedded within the Bible are key mystical principles designed to help souls reach their highest spiritual potential. From the metaphysical perspective, in addition to being a tool of faith, the Bible can be studied as a roadmap to enlightenment. The study of the Bible is a life-long pursuit. It represents the spiritual and creative efforts of many people over many centuries. While it is true that the Bible was primarily written as a religious text, these inspired books also represent essential metaphysical teachings when viewed in the proper light. Today, religion and metaphysics are too often seen as separate and unrelated when in fact they are different aspects of the same spiritual process. Religion and metaphysics do mix. Both play their part in your spiritual ascent.

Religion and metaphysics do mix. Both play their part in your spiritual ascent. The religious aspect of spiritual teachings introduces the aspiring soul to eternal truths through the key notes of faith and belief. This is an active faith that deeply involves the mind and reason as well as a strong intuitive nature. Through these keys, one builds his or her spiritual understanding and walks far on the spiritual path. Yet faith is not an end unto itself. Faith must eventually give way to knowing. And here is where metaphysics comes in. Metaphysics helps the growing soul bridge the gap between faith and knowing through the process we call enlightenment. Through enlightenment, the soul breaks the veil of matter and can experience the divine directly. Page 14

Associated with every spiritual study is a metaphysical, esoteric branch. Judaism has the kabbalah. Islam has Sufism. Hinduism has yoga. Christianity has its mystical branches as well. Even the ancient Greeks had differing branches of spiritual practices in traditions such as the Elysian mysteries. One branch was for the general public, and there was another, mystical branch for the initiate. There are esoteric branches of Buddhism and Taoism. When reading any spiritual text, ask the Divine Light to illuminate what you are meant to understand from the reading. It must be said that while the core teachings of the Bible were written by illumined souls who had direct contact with the divine, through the centuries, the Bible has been tampered with. As sad as it is to say, other less inspired hands have left their mark on the Bible. So your goal in understanding these esoteric teachings is not to try and make every word divine, but to find the divine jewels embedded within the Bible. There is a unifying metaphysical principle that runs through both the Tanakh (Old Testament) and the New Testament. Of course, these two books were written at different times and under very different conditions. Yet while they represent two differing world faiths, metaphysically they represent a unified spiritual principle. They offer humanity a greater revelation of the divine life and a deeper understanding of the celestial hierarchy who administer that divine life. The seeds of the divine teachings that were placed in the Tanakh took root in the New Testament. The New Day that we are all looking forward to will represent yet a third phase of this work, which will be the full flowering of these teachings. So the Bible is very much a living, teaching work in progress. From the first prototypal inspirations of the early SS eptember ctober eptember••OO ctober 2013 2013

Hebrew mystics, to the mystic pioneers in the early Christian era and the spiritual renaissance unfolding today, the divine is giving us a greater understanding of the Higher life.

It must be said that while the core teachings of the Bible were written by illumined souls who had direct contact with the divine, through the centuries, the Bible has been tampered with. We are living in a time when spiritual truths that have been kept hidden except to the initiates are being made more available to a greater number of people that are ready to receive these truths. We are in a syncretistic age where comparative studies in religion and metaphysics are revealing an underlying unity of spiritual belief and understanding. We truly live at the beginning of a golden age of a new spiritual awareness. There has never been a better time to grow spiritually than today. Connect the Dots By Eva Starr

A

while back I was reading a Wayne Dyer book, in which he was relaying a story about traveling somewhere on a plane and in his pocket he had a vile of water taken from the Pacific Ocean. He went on to explain how that small vile of water was the entire Pacific Ocean – that a drop of water encompassed the whole, while remaining a drop of water. It took a moment or two to wrap my brain around the point he was trying to make, but I got it. I never forgot that one single sentence from his book, although I can’t tell you the name of the book. Nevertheless, the drop of ocean theory has stayed with me to this day.

I happen to be one of those rightbrained airy-fairy people who just venture through life on trust and intuition and don’t need an ounce of logic to make me a believer. When my youngest daughter, Shayna, was a toddler I remember reading a book to her about the sun, the moon, the stars and simple things like an orange or a flower. The premise of this simple child’s book was each of us is a part of everything we see, touch or eat. You are the orange, the moon, the sun etc. I thought at the time: How can that be? Yet, I was reading this book to my little girl. I grasped the concept after 40-plus years studying metaphysics, but the science end of it still eludes me. I happen to be one of those right-brained airy-fairy people who just venture through life on trust and intuition and don’t need an ounce of logic to make me a believer. I hold a deep-seated belief in reincarnation that we all are, indeed, connected in one way or another. It’s similar to the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game; for every six people in the world you will have a connection to one of them. In my studies and teachings of the Louise Hay work, amongst others, it is my belief that if I am bothered Page 16

by something you do, it is in fact a trait in me that I have not yet learned to love or accept. This is similar to the mirror theory, what I see in you is actually a reflection of me looking at myself through you. If all of the above hypothesis are correct, then you, me, the Sun, the Moon, Jesus, Hitler and the Boston Bomber are all connected. Let that sink in for a while. I have read some noteworthy material that lends itself to more scientific minds – stuff about atoms, molecules, neutrons etc. that is entirely Greek to me. I won’t even pretend that I understand any of it. What I do know is something is happening in the space between spaces. We all breathe the same air, so doesn’t that mean you, I and the Easter Bunny are all connected? Were people like Emerson, Einstein and Edison ahead of their time? The documentary that hit the theaters in 2004, What the Bleep Do We Know, got the world thinking. Dr. Masaru Emoto’s experiments with water – mentioned in the film – were mind boggling if you hadn’t been introduced to those theories prior to the film. I’d already adapted the concept that talking to my young seedlings and playing classical music for them while I was away at work would produce marvelous fully bloomed beauties of nature. Gregg Braden, in his book The Divine Matrix, refers to the universe being founded upon four characteristics that make things work in the way they do. His book goes on to explain them – there is a field of energy that connects all of creation and it plays a role in our lives. Aren’t there times in your life when you’ve had an idea, and the next day or a few hours later you find out somebody else already acted on your idea? Why do you think that is? I’ll tell you why: Because we are connected and our thoughts and our feelings are floating around the universe (where time is simply relative) for anyone to grab the idea out of thin air and make it his or her own. That’s why, in all those goal-setting books we read,

‘We gain such confidence when we are obedient to our inner voice. We become useful to God when we stop reacting to everything and instead make a mindful decision on how to act.’ the same experiences that leave you feeling unsettled and stressed? Faith is taking one step at a time – believing what we can’t always see. We have no idea where life will lead us, but let’s spend the time we do have becoming who we truly want to be. As much as we need to put effort into ourselves, I don’t think works alone can turn someone into the best person we might envision for ourselves. We need something else to lean on, to fully trust in to help guide us along the way. Having a strong spiritual connection has been the true icing on the cake. Staying connected to God has taken my life to a whole new level of peace and balance. We cannot rely just on our own willpower and works to change, so I encourage everyone to lean on the transforming love of God to supply what we don’t always get through the day. Believe in your ability to change. You and God are the only ones who know how to take care of you. Let us all live a life full of purpose and passion and most of all peace. I believe that if each of us developed into the person God gifted us to be, the world would be a different place to live. JOURNEY THE Page 17

All in One and One in All By Tina Sacchi

M

an y o f o u r a n c e s t o r s have communicated with us since the beginning of time how deeply connected we are to each other and to the universe. The golden rule – “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” –is part of many cultures and religions.

Tina Sacchi will be a presenter at The Journey Expo in Cleveland, September 2013. You can register for her Sunday workshop and harmonizing ceremony. On Saturday, she will also facilitate a free meditation: Connecting with Our Ascended Masters, Guides, Angels and Light Being. She will be on a panel with George Noory and friends. that your intuition was accurate?

Ferris wheels require mandatory safety inspections, mechanical checks, scheduled parts replacement and lots of lubrication. Dust in the environment needs to be eliminated. The main support bearings at the center of the hub require regular greasing and cleaning. The Hawaiian elders say, “E piko kakou” meaning “let us be family”. While the Native American Lakota elders say “Mitakuye Oyasin”, which translates to “we are all related.” A customary Hindu expression used upon meeting or parting, and used in the Western world especially after one practices yoga, is to say “Namaste”, which translates to the “Divine in me bows to the Divine in you” or “I honor the Spirit in you which is also in me.” Although various groups of people have their own wording and language, basically the message is the same: We are all connected. We are all one! When you look into another’s eyes you are looking at God. Want something more tangible to back this up? How many times have you been thinking of someone and then received a phone call from that very person? What’s the first thing you say to them? “I was just thinking about you.” Or how about those times when you feel something is wrong with a loved one, so you call, only to find out Page 18

The reason these things happen is that we are energy, and as such, we read and pick up on others’ energy through our senses. Because we are all connected, we sense what others are thinking, saying and feeling. I like to use the illustration of a Ferris wheel, which has a hub, connected to the hub are spokes. If you think about it, God is like a hub and we are all the spokes. Because we are connected we have direct access to God through prayer and meditation. Now, Ferris wheels require mandator y safety inspections, mechanical checks, scheduled parts replacement and lots of lubrication. Dust in the environment needs to be eliminated. The main support bearings at the center of the hub require regular greasing and cleaning. Thus the analogy continues. Human beings also require routine maintenance, cleanings and healings of our physical bodies. For if we neglect any aspect of maintenance – body, mind, emotions or spirit – we lose our connection September • October ctober 2013 2013

to God and we lose sight of our purpose. Becasue we are connected to the hub, we are in constant contact with it. Should our spoke become disconnected, we lose sight of our purpose and journey. We lose the love, instead becoming judgmental, envious and hateful. All it takes is one spoke – that is, one person – to disconnect, and the rotation of the entire wheel is affected. The cars attached to the wheel become inoperable, and the whole wheel runs off kilter.

The bottom line is that we must all come together and be love, be the light, be with God. We must join for the purpose of manifesting the Divine plan. In doing so, our God/ human Ferris wheel remains in working order, turning smoothly, the hub and spokes working in perfect harmony. The bottom line is that we must all come together and be love, be the light, be with God. the

Planetary Pathways By Eva Starr September: New Moon in Virgo Sep. 5, 7:36am; Full Moon in Pisces Sep. 19, 7:13am October: New Moon in Libra Oct. 4, 8:35 pm; Full Moon in Aries Oct. 18, 7:38pm

ARIES

September – The Ram is usually anything but quiet … but this month the planetary alignments are asking you to pull in your horns …get off the battlefield and get yourself some quiet time. Yeah, you heard me: Get out of the fighting ring and get calm. Your body needs to destress. Heed the warning. October – So that R&R did some good … all systems go, expect nothing but the best. The Universe is smiling on you … keep the faith, don’t quit three feet from gold. Hold on to those positive expectations, your future is looking bright and you’re going to be the first Ram on top of the mountain. You’re back in the lead.

TAURUS

September – One thing the Bull knows is beauty; in fact you are one of the two signs of the Zodiac (Libra being the other) who are co-ruled by Venus – the Planet of Love & Money … so spend a little time on yourself, seeing the beauty within you and around your environment. Look for beauty in unexpected places and you’ll be sure to find it. Rejoice. October – Ok Bull, it’s time to come out of the bullpen. You’ve given yourself a makeover and explored your surroundings … now it’s time to move forward fearlessly and don’t stop on the way, lest you chicken out and go back. The Bull has stamina like no other, you CAN do this … trust your gut and your dreams.

GEMINI

September – You’re the trickster aren’t you? Nobody is more the life of the party then the Twins; it’s no wonder there are two of you to keep the energy flowing. You’re full of wit, humor and charm. September is your month to bring on the laughter, whether it’s you or somebody else that is getting a good belly laugh. That’s your task: Start the laughter rolling. October – Good thing there are two of you, so when you need to rely on yourself for what needs to be done, you’ll always have a backup. Listen to yourself this month, turn your head and ears away from the naysayers; you have the answers, go deep within to hear them. This isn’t the time to be insecure about what you’re feeling; you know what to do. Page 20

CANCER

September – Jupiter is true to form: The Santa Claus of the Zodiac just made Christmas come early for the Crab … take advantage while Jupiter is in your sign until July 2014. Just remember “gratitude” should be a word on the tip of your tongue always during this much coveted Jupiter transit. Keep a joyful heart and a positive mindset. October – If there are any issues to be resolved now is the time: the Heavens are shining on you once again … turn it over; surrender any worries to the almighty Universe, know it’s already been heard, answered and done. Need I say more? Quit trying to figure out the how, you’ve just been granted Grace, my dear crab. Be thankful and appreciate.

LEO

September – Leave the jungle to somebody else this month: It’s time to get out of town and take some R&R. Yes, when’s the last time you took a vacation? Don’t think the jungle can’t run without you … hand the throne over (temporarily of course), don’t get your mane all tangled up, go out and boogie. October – Feel better? Refreshed? Good, because while you away there may have been a few snags. Don’t worry, the Universe is already on it; it’s in Heaven’s hands. But I’d suggest you get a little creative and help the planets out; after all you are King and you’re back on the throne again so make it count.

VIRGO

September – The Sun is shining on Virgos; raise your vibratory level and get as high up into that superconsciousness as you can. Your higher self is aligned and waiting to share. Keep up the meditation, keep having those conversations with yourself, don’t listen to what others think, pay attention to your dreams, they’ll be revealing… October – Mars moves into your sign later this month, but don’t give in to the warrior energy … Virgos are to seek the beauty – within and within the surrounding environment. Recognize the beauty for what it is – turn off the “analytical” Virgo for just this once, give your self-critic a break and smell the flowers.

Journey

LIBRA

September – There’s no need to weigh the scales this month; make music, sing, celebrate and be merry … Mercury the messenger of the gods paired up with Venus, the goddess herself, and landed on your front door. No time to vacillate; harmony, music and beauty is the theme for you Libra, and that’s what you do best. So go ahead and sing me a tune… October – The sun is shining on you, and after all that singing and dancing last month, you’re ready to rely on yourself. Your confidence is strong; no need to doubt your own intuition. Trust your instincts, pay attention to your dreams and quit listening to the dream-crushers. You and you alone (along with Spirit of course) have the answers.

SCORPIO

September – It’s time to party. Put away your stinger and join Lady Venus on the Love Boat … Scorpios are all about passion and this month nobody does it better. Choose a key and unlock one of those secret boxes you’ve been saving for just the right moment; it’s time to kick up and howl at the full moon. Bring a partner. October – Mercury is paying a visit to the Scorpion. Messages will be deep, hidden and of course all about passion. Don’t be surprised if everyone you know has their lips locked tighter than Pandora ’s Box. Grab that Cat Woman cape from behind the hidden door in the basement and reveal your true scorpionic self this Halloween. After all it is your Holiday.

SAGITTARIUS

September – The Centaur has its arrow pointed straight toward the bull’s-eye … visualize, aim and you’re sure to walk away a winner this month. Pull out all the stops, you’ve got the magic genie on your side. Just remember if you believe it, you will see it; set your mind on what you want and watch your clairvoyance sky rocket. October – The Centaur is back…no more pretending to be something you’re not in order to please others. Your true authentic self is riding high once again, and this time with Lady Venus on your back, your personality is going through big changes. You’re becoming aware of whom you are once again; hold tight for the ride of your life …

of a business proposal, new ideas, your own creativity sparks or in the form of a loss, the rainbow in the storm … however it comes, Goat, get ready because you’re about to own whatever mountain you climb. Perseverance pays.

AQUARIUS

September – Dreams do come true, and for the Aquarian not just in fairy tales … you held tight to your visions, dreams and aspirations … your ship is heading toward the dock … don’t quit now. Continue your faith and prayers, and know that you do deserve this. Be grateful, rejoice and share the abundance with one and all … congratulations! October- Music lifts the soul to new diversity heights. The angels, the fairies and spirit all rejoice to the sound of harmony drifting through the universal ethers. Sing, dance, do whatever speaks to you – whether you play an instrument, or you just want to dance the night away… It’s time to make music the vehicle through which your creativity soars.

PISCES

September – The Fish is spending a lot of time preparing to find the buried treasure that lies deep at the bottom of the sea. Don’t quit before you find it … keep up your positive expectations, your prayers, faith and visualizations; you’ve still got some more swimming to do, but you can see shore. It’s just a matter of time, hold that line … October – We all have an inner child and so does the Fish. Maybe it’s time to quit being so hard on yourself and listen to your inner child; it wants to come out of hiding and play … if something’s amiss in your life, chances are you’re not being honest with your inner child. Take some time to give you and your inner child the nurturing care it deserves. Eva Starr’s love for Astrology, inherent in her since childhood, is still a growing passion today. CAPRICORN

September – Is the Goat stuck, depressed, angry or irritable? What are you not being honest about? You and you alone are the only one that matters when it comes to being honest with your feelings … it’s safe for you to speak up and express your feelings with love… Go outside and get in touch with nature, meditate, listen, then speak. October – Boy, aren’t you glad that’s over? But it paid off, new opportunities abound – it could be in the form the
