MISSION & PHILOSOPHY International Titanium Association was established in 1984 with the mission of connecting the public interested in using titanium with specialists from across the globe who may offer sales and technical assistance. We accomplish this by: • Hosting the Titanium Resource Center; • Educating through hands on workshops & online seminars; • Producing the TITANIUM Conference series in the US and in Europe; • Providing assistance in the form of accurate and timely information to potential designers, fabricators and end users of titanium, involved in generating, producing or disseminating information about titanium; • Sponsoring the Titanium Online Library dedicated to preserving past conference proceedings from the World Titanium and annual TITANIUM Conferences; • Administering 15 working committees all with a focus on marketing and technical objectives. STATISTICAL REVIEW The Statistical Review is a compilation of titanium statistics, organized by the ITA from government and trade association data. The publication includes a full range of industry statistics including Canada, China, European Union, Japan, Russia, Taiwan, and USA.

TECHNICAL & SALES ASSISTANCE ITA disseminates hundreds of technical questions to our membership annually. Inquires are received through the ITA website, at trade shows where ITA exhibits, and from the general public interested in using titanium metal. Inquires include material selection, grade specifications, and other specific questions such as how to weld titanium, fabrication, etc. ITA refers the inquiries to our Membership who may offer sales or technical assistance.

GRANT COMMITTEE The Grant Committee evaluates applications for the Titanium Applications Development award annually. A prize of $20,000 is presented to the winner at the annual TITANIUM USA conference. Any individual, group, or organization who have shown significant achievement toward improving and expanding the use of titanium is invited to apply for the award. The Grant Committee works jointly with Scholarship America to provide Academic Scholarships on behalf of the ITA. Up to 4 individual scholarships are awarded each Fall supporting STEM majors.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE The Education Committee is comprised of a variety of ITA Member organizations, all which have an interest in furthering education initiatives on behalf of the titanium industry. Current Projects Include: • Furthering Education at University Level. • Expanding Fundamentals of Titanium Workshop and sponsoring the How to Weld Titanium series • Hosting the Poster Session for Research & Development in Titanium and the Best Master Dissertation Programs at the annual TITANIUM Conferences. • Support CSIRO’s Titanium Challenge contest by sponsoring the winner to participate in the Best Master Dissertation program where the student will have the opportunity to present, be published in the conference proceedings, and will be eligible for a cash prize. • The Education committee also maintains existing titanium literature, published by the ITA, to ensure the content remains up to date and pertinent to the industry and prospective users of titanium metal.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE The Education Committee is developing an E-Book library on the ITA Website which will contain past World Titanium Conference Proceedings along with the TITANIUM Conference past proceedings. This project is funded by the International Titanium Association, dedicated to supporting the Education committee’s mission and objectives and is also helping to sustain these important historical reference documents on behalf of the titanium industry worldwide.

TITANIUM CONFERENCE SERIES As the international titanium supply chain has grown in scope and complexity over the past decade, attendance at the TITANIUM conference series has doubled. TITANIUM USA 2014 anticipates 1,000 delegates from over 25 countries. TITANIUM offers insights into the current state of the industry as well as efficient, high-value networking opportunities not available anywhere else for titanium producers, OEM’s, distributors, fabricators, and vendors who offer products & services to the titanium community alike. Exhibition space, sponsorship opportunities and speaking engagements are all available to the ITA Membership.

TITANIUM CONFERENCE SERIES ITA provides a platform specifically focused on European oriented topics attracting a wide range of delegates. TITANIUM EUROPE will offer networking opportunities to exchange ideas and gain valuable insight into the state of the global titanium industry.

In response to the requests of our European Members and in our continued involvement with the REACH Consortium efforts, ITA has expanded our services with the intent on hosting a European Conference regularly. The 2014 event which was held in Sorrento Italy, provided an excellent forum of over 400 delegates from 30 countries gathering to network, visited 53 exhibitor displays, and attended over 40 presentations.

The forum represents an efficient, cost-effective way for delegates to meet potential partners, customers and vendors. TITANIUM conferences have attracted producers, distributors, designers and fabricators with a specific emphasis on Europe.
