AIM OF THE CONFERENCE

The aim of the conference is to take a scientific discourse on the determinants of the functioning of family farming in Poland and other European Union countries. We hope that the combination of legal and economic perspectives will develop comprehensive recommendations for those responsible for the development of agricultural policy in our country in terms of support and protection of family farms. PROPOSED SUBJECTS OF THE CONFERENCE

- The role of family farms in the functioning of the food chain; - The legal status of family farms in Poland and other EU countries; - Evolution of family farms in Poland after accession to the EU; - The income situation of family farms; - Mechanisms for financial support of family farms in Poland and other EU Member States; - Family farms and environmental activities. •

TIME SCHEDULE September 30th , 2014 - deadline for registration of participants, together with proposals for abstracts (published in the monograph issued after the conference)
