Install Terminal on Linux

The client terminal can be installed and run on computers with Linux using Wine. Wine is freeware that allows users of the Unix-based systems to run applications developed for Microsoft Windows systems. (You can find more information about Wine here). Installation of EF MetaTrader 5 on Linux goes through three steps: I. Step 1- Preliminary setup II. Step 2 - Installation of Wine III. Step 3 - Installation of EF MT5

I. First step - Preliminary setup Preliminary setup should be performed before the installation. All applications are installed on Ubuntu from the packages contained in repositories. The path to WineHQ PPA repository should be added to install Wine. Open Ubuntu Software Center and execute "Software Sources" command in "Edit" menu.

Click "Add" in the new window.

The following data should be specified in АРТ (Advanced Package Tool) line: ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa Click "Add Source".

This completes the preliminary setup.

II. Second step - Installation of Wine To install Wine, open its official website http://www.winehq.org, go to Downloads section and choose the distribution kit for Ubuntu. Click the appropriate link to install the latest Wine version. The system will prompt you to open the link via Ubuntu Software Center. Confirm so Software Center can begin Wine installation:

Click "Install" and wait for the installation to complete. Once the installation is complete, you will be able to run Microsoft Windows executable files in Ubuntu.

Installation of Wine from the Command Line You can use command line (which is called "Terminal" in Ubuntu) to install Wine without using Ubuntu GUI. Execute the following command to add WineHQ PPA repository, from which Wine will be installed: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa

After execution, update APT package data using the following command: sudo apt-get update Upon execution, you can start Wine installation. Execute the following command: sudo apt-get install wine1.5 Wine version 1.5 will be installed. After the execution, Wine is ready for use.

III. Third step - Installation of EF MT5 Download the platform EF MetaTrader 5 from here. After download is complete, launch the setup file. The system will automatically determine that you are trying to run a file designed for Microsoft Windows and will prompt you to open it with Wine. Select this option and click "OK".

The client terminal installer will be launched. Complete all installation steps:

After installation is complete, you can start using the terminal by running its terminal.exe file. Installation of EF MT5 by copying it from MS Windows Another way to use the trade terminal in EF MetaTrader 5 on Linux OS| Ubuntu is copying the entire folder of the client terminal previously installed in Microsoft Windows:

After copying is complete, simply run terminal.exe file of the terminal. Wine will be used automatically to open the file. www.eurofinance.bg

Trade in financial markets with EF MetaTrader 5 from your PC with Linux OS.

Please note that Wine is not completely stable application. Some of the functions of the system may not operate correctly. There were no particular problems in dealing with the platform.
