YOUR WATCH IS EQUIPPED WITH EITHER A SCREW DOWN CROWN (PICTURED) OR A STANDARD CROWN (PAGE 10).

T S O V E T. C O M

4

ABOUT THE SCREW-DOWN CROWN Specific models feature a screw-down crown; this component helps prevent moisture infiltration. Always be certain that your crown is completely screwed down before entering any environment or before undertaking any activities where moisture is present. Never unscrew your crown while in any environment where moisture is present.

T S O V E T. C O M

6

OPERATING THE SCREW-DOWN CROWN In order to pull the crown out to the first or second locking position, it must first be unscrewed. To open the crown, simply turn the crown counter-clockwise 4 to 5 turns. To close the crown and screw it down, push it in while turning clockwise; lightly finger-tighten the crown. BE SURE TO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN THE CROWN! The precision threading of your TSOVET screw-down crown, in part, provides effective moisture resistance. By over tightening the crown, the materials and related components (seals & gaskets) can be damaged, resulting in reduced moisture resistance.

Three: Unscrewed, with crown pulled out to the first notch (open): to set

the hour hand. The crown of your watch is unscrewed and is not

DIVERS SCALE Located on the turning bezel of the SVT-DW44 dive watch. Unidirectional Rotating Bezel: The most important feature of any divers watch and an essential part of every divers equipment is the diving ring. This is a rotating bezel around the dial or the crystal. It is divided into minutes and often has a triangular fluorescent marking at 12. Before divers take to the water, they have calculated the time they can spend under water. The diving time depends on the depth and the amount of oxygen taken down. When a diver has 45 minutes of air and enters the water at 14:00 hours, the triangular marking has to be set 45 minutes later, in this case at 14:45. The minute hand has a similar triangle as the diving ring. When both markings meet it is time to surface because air is running out. TACHOMETER Specific models feature a Tachometer, or Tachymeter, which is simply a function on a watch that allows the user to measure speed. A Tachometer is a feature found on some chronograph watches that measures the speed at which the wearer has traveled over a measured distance. In matchmaking, it is a timer or chronograph with a graduated dial on which speed can be read off in kilometers per hour or other units of distance. T S O V E T. C O M

WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: Internal or external damage resulting from an unscrewed crown, accidents, mishandling or abusive use (i.e., knocks, dents, crushing, contact with moisture—including, but not limited to, “hot tubs,” “jacuzzis,” or “saunas,” etc.), or the consequences of normal wear and aging of the watch (i.e., scratches and abrasions to the crystal, case, metal band, buckle, leather); unauthorized alterations, tampering, manipulation, mistreatment, or modification through the addition or substitution of parts or accessories not supplied by TSOVET; repairs made by unqualified third-parties or non- warranted dealers; and the use of batteries other than those prescribed by TSOVET. WARRANTY DISCLAIMER TSOVET strongly recommends against introducing your watch to environments where both heat and moisture are present (e.g., “hot tubs,” “jacuzzis”, or “saunas”). The combination of heat and moisture can adversely affect the seals and gaskets in your watch. If your crown is not closed properly, water will penetrate the case. Failing to adhere to the aforementioned precaution voids your warranty.
