!

Caution : Only the supplied charger allows the optimal charging of the built-in battery in the control unit. The INOV'TRONIK Company takes no responsibility for failures when using another battery charger. 6

CONNECTING THE DRY CONTACT The pump rotation can be remotely triggered using a “dry contact”. Like any “dry contact”, the polarity is reversible and so it does not matter which way the two wires are connected. It is therefore possible to connect the 2 wires without paying any attention to the polarity on the connector. Principle of operation (positif mode) :  

Touching the wires will start the rotation of the pump. Breaking the connection will result in immediate shutdown of the pump.

!

Warning : the “dry contact” accepts, as its name suggests, a contact switch or relay without external supply voltage or ground connection. Any other use can greatly damage the pump.

CONNECTING THE PROXIMITY SENSOR (OPTIONAL) This sensor provides a similar function to the “dry contact”. It allows automatic shutdown or turning on of the device. This sensor detects the presence of any metal near the black plastic head. The detection range is approximately 1 to 15mm, but can vary depending on the type of metal to be detected and its thickness. The lamp below the translucent plastic body, to the rear of the sensor housing is used to show if metal is detected. The sensor is composed entirely of stainless material. It can be installed both inside and outside. Its IP67 rating ensures optimal protection in all environments including high humidity. The sensor body is a threaded M18 pin. It may be attached through any material with an Ø18mm hole. Both nuts help hold it in position to set the correct distance between it and its target. Detection head

PUMP CALIBRATION To ensure accuracy of flow rate, it is sometimes necessary to calibrate the AGRIDOSE PRO pump. This allows you to accurately measure the liquid dispensed for a predetermined time. Calibration depends on the pipes used and the configuration of the installation. The calibration must be done once installation is complete. To perform the calibration, you must proceed through these steps chronologically as follows : EQUIPMENT PREPARATION 1. Install the AGRIDOSE PRO pump correctly. 2. Power on the pump and switch on the control unit. 3. Prime the pump and pipes (so that no air is present). 4. Place a container at the end of the nozzle. 5. Turn off the control unit. CALIBRATION MODE SELECTION 6. Turn on the control unit of the AGRIDOSE PRO pump using the green key and keep it pressed until “Calibration” appears on screen. SETTING THE CALIBRATION FLOW RATE 7. The calibration flow rate is displayed on the screen in L/h (factory setting : 30 L/h). 8. The flow rate can be changed by pressing the “+” or “-“ buttons (range 10 to 140 L/h). Always calibrate the pump with the theoretical rate at which you want to use it. SETTING THE CALIBRATION TIME LENGTH 9. The calibration time is displayed on the screen in seconds (factory setting : 180s). 10. The time can be changed by pressing the “+” or “-“ buttons (range 60 to 600 seconds). The longer the calibration time, the more accurate the calibration will be. STARTING THE CALIBRATION 11. Press the green button to start the pump. The pump motor will run for the time specified in the previous step. Note : During the calibration, the compressor will not run and so there will be no spray. 12. Once the time has passed, the motor will automatically stop. MEASURE 13. Measure the volume of liquid collected in the container. WARNING : The measured volume must be in milliliters (note: 1000 ml = 1 litre). PROGRAMMING THE CALIBRATION VOLUME 14. The calibration volume is displayed on the screen in milliliters (factory setting : 1500 ml). 15. This is user adjustable, if necessary using the “+” or “-“ buttons. At this point, you should enter your measured volume from the container. FINISHING THE CALIBRATION 16. Press the green button to save the new calibration settings. 11

The new values are saved into the memory and the correct pump speed is automatically calculated by the system. 17. The AGRIDOSE PRO pump will automatically restart.

!

It is essential to perform the calibration in the same conditions in which the system will be used.

It is important to recalibrate the pump after several hours of operation to compensate for any losses due to crushing of the pipe by the rollers (especially for a new hose).

12

ALARMS AND SYSTEM FAULTS During operation of the AGRIDOSE PRO pump, alarms may appear on the screen. Once the user has read these, he can delete the error log at any time by briefly pressing the red button. Link Failure Appears when there is a communication issue between the pump unit and the control unit.

=> Check the two devices are power supplied and switched on. => Check the distance between the both units is less than 10 meters.

Pump alarm Occurs when the pump motor is not working properly. => Check the connection between the pump motor and the circuit board in the pump unit. => Ensuring that the system is powered off and the pump cover is open, check if the motor is

not blocked and is running correctly.

Temperature alarm Occurs when the temperature inside the pump unit is too hot (more than about 90°C).

=> Check the rotation of the pump motor is done correctly and without any forcing. => Do not use too small spray nozzle at a high flow rate. => If possible, stop the pump and wait until the temperature drops. Low battery alarm Occurs when the battery level is low.

=> Recharge the battery as soon as possible with the supplied charger. Empty battery alarm Occurs when the battery level very is low.

=> Recharge the battery immediately with the supplied charger.

If, after this message appears on the screen, the user does not connect the charger immediately on the control unit, this one will automatically turn off after a minute. Difference between the measured flow rate and the displayed flow rate Do the following to correct this fault :

=> Perform calibration of the pump under normal conditions of use. => Check and redo the calibration of the pump if necessary. => Check the power supply voltage. (if voltage is too low, the pump motor may not reach full speed for high flow rate). If the observed failures persist despite the above informations, it will be necessary to contact the INOV'TRONIK company.

MAINTENANCE As a precaution, it is important to perform regular maintenance on the AGRIDOSE PRO pump and to do the following :  

After each use, especially in the presence of acids, it is advisable to drain all the pipes and to flush the system by circulating clear water. To ensure optimum distribution of liquid and a good life of the hose when the pump is not in use, it is advisable to remove the hose from the pump head to allow the hose to return to its orignal shape and therefore not become permenantly deformed by the rollers.

If the pump is dirty, clean with a cloth or sponge slightly moistened in water.
