Segment Notes. Este segmento que se utiliza para indicar el tipo y función de un mensaje y para transmitir el número de identificación. DE 1004: Es recomendable que la longitud del número del documento esté restringida a un máximo de 17 caracteres. DE 1225: La función del mensaje se aplica a todas las informaciones indicadas en el mensaje. Por consiguiente, se debe mandar un mensaje separado por cada tipo de función requerida . Se utilizan las siguientes normas para los códigos restringidos: 1 = Cancelación - Una instrucción de despacho entera y previa ha sido cancelada. Es obligatorio retransmitir los segmentos que identifican al remitente y al destinatario. La identificación del mensaje enviado anteriormente debe estar en el segmento RFF del grupo 1. 5 = Reemplazar – El código se utiliza para cancelar y reemplazar el mensaje original de instrucción de despacho. La identificación del mensaje enviado anteriormente debe estar en el segmento RFF del grupo 1. 9 = Original – Una transmisión original de la Instrucción de Despacho. 31 = Copiar – Este código indica que el mensaje es una copia del mensaje original que ha sido enviado a terceras personas con propósitos informativos. 42 = Confirmación por via de otros medios - Confirmación de una instrucción enviada anteriormente por otros medios que EDI, e.j.: fax.
