SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE The Installation Manuals collection is an intentionally assembled collection of technical manuals describing installation and repair procedures for various major assemblies on Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury automobiles and trucks. The Installation Manuals collection, 1951-1978 (34 cubic ft.), is made up of 3 series. The Body and Chassis Manuals series, 1952-1978 (7 cubic ft.), consists of detailed assembly, sub-assembly, and complete body installation manuals and guides covering major body and chassis elements in Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury automobiles. The Electrical Installation Manuals series consists of two subseries. The Cars subseries, 1951-1974 (16 cubic ft.), is made up of detailed installation and repair guides and manuals covering electrical systems on Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury cars. The Trucks subseries, 1950-1970 (8 cubic ft.), is made up of detailed installation and repair guides and manuals covering electrical systems on Ford commercial, light, and heavy duty trucks. The Trim and Sealer Manuals series is comprised of two subseries. The Cars subseries, 1951-1974 (2.6 cubic ft.), consists of detailed installation and repair manuals and guides covering exterior trim and seals for Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury cars. The Trucks subseries, 1970 (0.4 cubic ft.), consists of installation and repair information for exterior trim and seals for Ford trucks.
