Overview
Sprint PC Lite
Overview Sprint PC Lite is a software application for your computer. Its function is to configure your Sprint V2/V3/V4/V5/V6 or V7 unit and to download reports. These instructions provide the details for installing PC LIte. Please read the instructions carefully before use. Keep the manual for future reference. Sprint PC Lite also works in conjunction with Sprint PDA, an application available for a PDA. Sprint PDA enables your PDA to act as a point of transfer between a Sprint unit and your computer. Please refer to your Sprint CD for installation and operation instructions for Sprint PDA. Before you begin You will need the following • • • • •
Telegan Sprint installation CD; Sprint FGA with Bluetooth; (Sprint V3, V5 and V7) Personal computer running Windows XP, Vista; USB cable; Sprint PC Lite installation manual.

1. Installing Sprint PC Lite 1. Begin installation IMPORTANT: Do not connect your Sprint unit to your PC at this time, until you are instructed to do so in step 2 'Install USB Drivers', or your Sprint unit may not connect properly. 1. Insert the Telegan Sprint Installation CD into the CD-ROM. Click the Start button and then click Run. In the Open box, type the path and file name of the Setup file on the CD. For example d:\Sprint PC Lite\setup. exe. (Alternately, click on the Browse button and navigate to the setup file on your CD. Click Open and OK.) The Sprint Setup screen will display.
Sprint PC Lite requires that you install some reporting software before first activation. If you have previously installed the Sprint CR reporting software, please go to B. Installing Sprint PC LIte to install or re-install software. A. For first time installation, install Sprint Crystal Report (CR) software. 2. Click on the first icon to install Sprint CR.

The Sprint CR Setup Welcome screen will display.
3. Click on Next to continue. 4. On the next screen select the folder location to install the Sprint CR software and click Next.
5. The Install Sprint CR software screen will appear, click on Next to confirm installation.

Sprint CR software will begin installing.
6. When the Sprint CR reporting software installation is complete. The Setup Wizard will return to the Setup screen.
B. Installing Sprint PC LIte The Sprint PC Lite Setup screen provides two separate installation programs for Windows XP and 2000, and Windows Vista. Please follow the instructions below for installing Sprint PC LIte on your computer's operating system.
Installing Sprint PC LIte on Windows XP or 2000 1. Click on the second icon to install Sprint PC Lite using 'Installshield'. You may see the message box below. Click on 'Yes' to continue installation.
The Sprint Setup Welcome screen will display. Click on Next.

2. Follow the onscreen instructions to install Sprint PC Lite. 3. Sprint PC Setup will begin installing files.
4. When installation is complete. The Setup Wizard will display the Congratualtions screen and requests a 'restart my computer' confirmation. Click on Finish to exit Sprint PC Lite Installation Wizard.
A short-cut icon will be added to your desktop. 5. After restarting your computer please install the Sprint USB drivers.

Installing Sprint PC Lite on Windows Vista
Installing Sprint PC LIte on Windows Vista 1. Click on the third icon to install Sprint PC Lite using 'Microsoft Installer'. You may see the message box below. Click on 'Yes' to continue installation.
Windows will display the Windows Installer 'Preparing to install' screen.
The Sprint PC Lite Welcome screen will display.
2. Click on Next to continue, the Confirm Installation screen will be displayed.

3. Click on Next to confirm installation. 4. When Sprint PC Lite has been successfully installed, you will be returned to the Setup screen. Click on the fourth icon to exit the Sprint PC Lite Setup. 5. After restarting your computer please install the Sprint USB drivers.

2. Install USB Drivers Connect your Sprint unit to the PC via a USB cable. Windows Device Manager will display 'Found New Hardware'. The Sprint USB drivers must be installed by running the install program found on the Sprint CD. 1. Plug in the USB lead to the PC and then to your Sprint unit. If the Windows Device Manager is displayed click on the cross to close.
If the Hardware Update Wizard appears, click on the 'Cancel' button.
2. For the first time installation you should install the USB drivers provided on the Sprint installation CD. Ensure that the CD is left in the CD drive at this time.
Click the Start button and then click Run. In the Open box, type the path and file name of the USB Setup file on the CD. For example d:\USB Driver\USB Setup.exe. (Alternately, click on the Browse button and navigate to the USB Setup file on your CD. Click Open and OK.)
3. When the license Agreement appears, please select the 'I accept' option and click on Next.
4. From the next window choose the folder destination where you want to install the drivers. Click on the 'Change' button if you do not accept the default folder location. Click on Next.

5. To confirm installation click on 'Install'.
6. Click on 'Install' once more.

Your USB drivers for Sprint are now installed.
