Note: The safety valve that will be used on the product varies according to the system pressure. (Max. 9 bar - Min. 6 bar)

4

Technical Specifications

• Our water heaters are manufactured in accordance with EN 12897 and TS 736 standard. • The inner surface of the water heater is enameled in accordance with DIN 4753 standards. Protection against corrosion is provided by a magnesium anode located in the device. • In order to control the water temperature inside the device, there is a thermostat sensor that can be connected through the thermowell. • Our water heaters have connection sleeves for electric heaters and thermostat. Both elements are removable.

System Elements

Safety Valve : In case of high pressure in the boiler it discharges the water. Expansion Tank : It adjusts pressure fluctuations that can occur within the system. Check Valve : It allows fluid moving within the system in the desired direction and blocks the fluid flow to the opposite direction. Filter : It is used to remove impurities from the water circulating in the system. Valve : It is used as an installation element that allows or stops the flow of water into system. Pump : It enables the circulation of fluid used in the system. Manometer : It is used to measure the pressure inside the system. Thermometer : It is used to measure the temperature of the liquid in the system. Pressure Reducer : In case the water pressure in the system exceeds the optimal allowable pressure of the device a pressure reducer must be installed on the connection line to automatically discharge water in the system until pressure is normalized.

THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT WHEN INSTALLING A WATER HEATER IS NOT TO FORGET TO INSTALL THE SAFETY VALVE Water expands when heated. The expansion rate with temperature is illustrated at the table and plot below. For example, water expands 1.19% at 50 oC. This extra volume of water should be removed from the water heater. Water is an incompressible liquid. If the expanded water is not removed from the water heater then there will increased pressure on the product body which can cause damages on the weakest point of the water heater. d (kg/lt) 0.9998 0.9996 0.9982 0.9956 0.9922 0.9880 0.9832 0.9777 0.9718 0.9635 0.9583 0.9519 0.9431

Heat source started working and the flowing hot water inside the serpentine starts heating the domestic water.

If the safety valve was not installed there would be damages to the water heater.

The heated and expanded domestic water cannot exit the water heater because the shower is closed and the check valve is stopping reverse flowing. The water is released at the safety valve.

Expansion Tank Application The expansion tank used in the system should have at least 10% of the volume of the water heater, capable of work under 10 bar pressure and initial pressure should be set to 10 bar. The most important feature in the system is to use safety valve and expansion tank. Always install the expansion tank and the safety valve between the water heater and the valve.

Before Activating

• The domestic hot water circulating in the system should be according to the quality standards defined in the last page of this document. The warranty does not cover the cases where the domestic hot water does not meet these standards. • Verify the mechanical and electrical connections of the product. • Check for leakages in all connections and pipes. • The electric resistances should be grounded. When you are working on the connections of the system please turn off electricity. Activating • Please do not start to operate your water heater before you make sure that it is filled with water and that the cold water inlet is available. • After completely filling the water heater, in order to release remaining air in the product please open the hot water tap. • Electric connections of the device must be done by a qualified electrician. • Check the cable section, voltage and grounding line and then set the safety thermostat in the control panel. • Do not turn on the electric resistance before completely filling the water heaters.

Periodic Maintenance and Cleaning

• It is suggested to clean inside the water heater through the cleaning flange in order to remove dirt particles that may exist in the water system. • If the product is with electrical instruments please disable the electrical connections. • The gaskets used on the products are only suitable for one usage. In case they are removed for any reason they should be replaced and you should contact the seller. • Please be sure that the elements like valve, check valve, strainer, security valve, expansion tank and thermometer are in good condition. • Please remove and clean the filter of the strainer periodically • The magnesium anode rod should be checked every year. The substitution frequency can be determined after the first control. The quality of the water is important for the life of the anode. • If the magnesium anode rod diameter is less than 12mm it should be changed. (Original diameter is 26mm) • The magnesium anode rod is out of the warranty. • When the water heater is deactivated please be sure that the tank is empty to prevent possible freezing problems. • When cleaning the interior of the product please be sure that you do not damage the enamel inside. • After cleaning the interior of the product please be sure that cleaning flange, thermowell (sensor) and thermostat are safe and there is no leakage.
