These test systems are applied for research and development, manufacture and quality assurance. The spectrum ranges from component test rigs and extended components for already existing plants up to complete vehicle test rigs. The computer controlled systems allow to physically test drive systems, transmissions, brakes and similar components of heavy vehicles under realistic conditions. Thus safety and resistance of mobile components e.g. in the passenger car and helicopter construction can be proven and possibly enhanced. Moreover, the modern test systems even allow the diagnosis itself of functional efficiency and safety of the manufacturing plants.
