The students are responsible for arranging the accommodation. It is strongly recommended to accept the first offer, which students receive from the Student Housing Foundation (VOAS). The University of Vaasa is not responsible of arranging accommodation for the students. Students arriving in Autumn semester are strongly advised for reserving the VOAS apartment from 1 August.

Food 250 euros Transportation 30 euros Leisure and other personal costs depending on the student. No. The Student Union fee is voluntary. Student Union fee: aproxximately 128 euros / academic year or 69 euros / one semester. Entitles the student to the services of the Student Health Care Foundation and student discounts. (Student Union fee for students on Doctoral level: 44 euros per academic year. Does not entitle the student to student discounts or services of the Student Health Care Foundation. Exchange students are personally responsible for the insurances for themselves and their personal belongings. The insurance should be obtained before arrival to Finland, and it should cover costs resulting from illness or an accident (doctor and hospital charges, including medical treatment and hospitalisation, medication, and costs resulting from interruption of the exchange). Exchange students should also obtain an insurance for personal belongings and third party liability.
