Asian Institute of Gastroenterology

Welcome Message Dear friends / colleagues, It is a great pleasure for us to welcome you to Hyderabad on 22nd 24th August, 2014 for the International Symposium on Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) including Crohns and Ulcerative colitis are chronic lifelong conditions. Establishing and maintaining symptom control and remission is critical to minimize complications. IBD is an emergent disease in India and The Asia-Pacific Region with a rising incidence over the last decade. The changing socioeconomic environment and prevalent disease patterns has presented unique diagnostic dilemmas, management controversies and challenges. This symposium aims to provide an indepth review of the pathophysiology, diagnostic methods, medical and surgical therapeutic approaches of IBD. Key International and National experts in the field will discuss, debate and highlight the latest concepts and consensus in the management of IBD. Overall, we need to learn from each other, share knowledge and best local practices to optimally manage our patients. We would like to welcome you to come forth and join us in Hyderabad in August for an excellent academic experience.
