By offering end to end connectivity solutions we can provide highspeed, fault tolerate access to the critical resources today’s students require to succeed.

In-building Networks L-com supplies a wide breadth of connectivity products to support digital learning for K-12 and higher education customers. We supply infrastructure cabling including bulk, riser and plenum rated Multimode and Single mode fiber, plenum and riser rated bulk Category 5e/6/6a cabling as well as off the shelf and custom cable assemblies. Additionally we offer wall plates, cable management products including patch panels, lacer bars, equipment enclosures, as well as cable and equipment identification products to address wired infrastructure communications. We manufacture cables, adapters, converters and extenders to address classroom A/V applications. Products include HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, VGA, RCA and 3.5mm cables, adapters and allied products to provide access to multimedia based learning tools. Wired

Wireless L-com provides wireless infrastructure products to address both small to medium classrooms as well as larger multi-story educational buildings with Distributed Antenna System (DAS) antennas, low loss coaxial cabling, surge protectors, RF amplifiers, RF splitters, access points and more. We offer a complete wireless networking solution providing cellular and WiFi access to students and faculty.

Campus Networks To address campus network connectivity, L-com offers options for both wired and wireless access across small, medium and large campus installations. Our product portfolio consists of direct burial fiber optic cabling, outdoor rated Category 5e/6 cabling, weatherproof equipment enclosures, media converters, antennas, RF amplifiers and more. Wired In the application example below, campus building are connected via Single mode fiber optic cable to provide high speed access to voice, video and data applications. Inside each building the fiber is converted to Category 6 cabling via Ethernet media converters. The fiber optic cables then collapse back to the data center where racks, enclosures, patch panels, switches and routers connect the users located throughout the campus to resources such as servers, switches, and network attached storage as well as the Internet.

Wireless L-com manufactures antennas, amplifiers, low loss coaxial cable assemblies, RF splitters and filters to address both point to point and point to multi-point wireless networking applications. Furthermore we provide wireless access points for bridging and repeating wireless signals throughout the campus. In the application diagram below the central campus building is outfitted with an Omni-directional antenna which provides a 360° wireless coverage area. Satellite campus buildings house directional antennas that point to the central buildings Omni antenna establishing a point to multipoint wireless network for student and faculty information access.
