Oliver Edinger Vice President I Head of IoT/I4.0 SAP

Joni Lehtonen Global Solution Head for Industrial Internet Tieto In his current position, Joni is driving forward services for Tieto’s Manufacturing Customers, in order to make it as easy as possible for them in transformation towards digital business models by utilizing industrial internet capabilities. Joni started his career in 1994 in Manufacturing industry. Gradually he moved on to a Senior Business Consultant position at TietoEnator (today Tieto) and headed numerous projects on ERP and SCM in Europe and Asia in semiconductor, metal & machinery industries. During that time he worked with Business Architecture consulting and heading large programs in the SCM and Business integration area with the business units he was establishing within Tieto. During 2006 he moved to Nokia to develop further his competences and worked as an architect in the areas of SCM, Downstream Logistics and Production Planning. 2009 he was invited back to Tieto, and accepted a task to established a new type of business unit in the area of supply chain. New business unit focused into a business process improvement with fresh evidence based concept. During this period of time he educated himself with the Lean SixSigma Balck Belt certificate and is currently studying a certificate in digital business models in MIT Boston. Since 2011, he has hold a position to develop strategic initiatives within Tieto, and to drive up business focusing into Industrial Services, by utilizing industrial Internet capabilities; shortly saying, driving the digital transformation for Tieto’s manufacturing customers.

Thomas Andrae Director – New Ventures 3M As Director of 3M New Ventures, Mr. Andrae is responsible for a set of global strategic initiatives, predominantly in areas like information and communication, automotive, and energy. These initiatives relate to advanced scenario planning and validation, technology foresight, academic and industrial collaborations, and venture capital financing for early stage companies. Prior to this, he was Vice President at Siemens AG, heading their Global Procurement Operations and brings more than 20 years of experience in consulting, strategic sales and marketing.

Oliver Edinger serves as Head of Industrie 4.0 and Internet of Things at SAP Deutschland SE & Co. KG. Oliver and his team are responsible to engage with customers on their IoT and Industrie 4.0 journey and bundle all the SAP expertise required to help them succeed on their mission. His team of cross functional experts designs custom fit IoT/Industrie 4.0 solutions – regardless whether SAP’s platform technology, applications or consulting expertise is required but also incorporating the special domain expertise of external partners from the industry automation space, for example. Oliver first joined SAP as part of the trainee program for SAP Consulting in April 1997. After completing multiple project assignments he took on various roles in SAP’s Strategic Product Marketing, including the one as Global Marketing Manager for the SAP PLM product line. From 2003 until 2006 he was Prokurist (authorized officer) and member of the executive leadership team of a midsized SAP consulting partner. After rejoining SAP in March 2006 Oliver Edinger served as Global Account Manager for Large Enterprise Customers in the Discrete Manufacturing and Automotive sector. At the beginning of 2009 Oliver was appointed Global Account Director for Siemens before being promoted to Managing Partner in 2013. Oliver Edinger holds a degree in business administration from the University of Giessen.

Thorsten Schröer Director – Electronics Industry Europe IBM Mr. Schroeer helps industrial companies to achieve competitive advantages through new technologies around Internet of Things, Industrie 4.0, Cloud, Analytics, Mobile and Social. He held in IBM various management positions with growing responsibilities in the past 15 years. In his current position he is responsible for IBM’s European business within the electronics industry incl. services, software and hardware. Previously he led a global team for Operations & Supply Chain for IBM’s electronics industry. In addition, Mr. Schroeer is engaged for many years as a board member in CSCMP Roundtable Germany for the international development and integration of supply chain themes as well as for “new supply chain joiners” from universities. Mr. Schroeer holds a Dipl.-Ing. For Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dortmund and a Master of Industrial & Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, USA.

Renaud Di Francesco Director, Europe Technology Standards Sony Renaud Di Francesco, PhD, Director Europe Technology Standards Office of Sony, is currently interested by technologies enabling Content and Media on one hand, and Enterprise and Industrial solutions on the other hand. Starting his career as a researcher and inventor in real-time detection and signal processing , he has moved on to lead a business and technology development team for new satellite services at France Telecom (Orange), and then the international telco-to-telco core infrastructure expansion. Joining the European Commission in its advanced communications programme to develop e-commerce and network management R&D, he has then coordinated the preparation of the Council meetings of Telecom Ministers, until the 1998 Telecom Liberalisation. At Sony, he has grown the external R&D cooperation portfolio, led the first Digital Cinema Project of Sony in Europe, and taken his current position as head of Technology Standards for the Group in Europe.

Paul Haigh M2M Lead Vodafone Paul Haigh joined Vodafone Global Machine to Machine in Munich shortly after its foundation in 2011 and leads a team of M2M experts responsible for projects within leading global companies. Previously Paul worked for Telefónica in the international Business to Business area and helped to launch the BlackBerry in Germany back in 2002. Paul is a keen skier and each year hosts the Vodafone global M2M ski event.

Bas Boorsma Director Internet of Everything CISCO Bas Boorsma currently serves as Cisco’s Internet of Everything leader in North Europe. He is also a member of Cisco’s global IoE for Cities team. Bas has a rich background as an Internet of Everything for Cities specialist. In that capacity he has managed a portfolio of smart city endeavors globally. Bas has coordinated and overseen the implementation of innovative projects and programs that address the ways we work, live, consume, play, learn and deliver within the context of cities. Typical innovations delivered or currently being worked on include Smart Light, Smart mobility solutions, Smart Work Centers, Ecomap, Personal Travel Assistant, Learning Hubs, Smart Ports, high end broadband deployment as well as the architectures and service models that will help drive the Internet of Everything at large.

Steffen Schaefer Senior Principal for City IT Solutions Siemens Steffen Schaefer is working as Senior Principal for Mobility IT Solutions in the headquarter of Siemens‘ Mobility Division. In his 25 year career, he has gained deep experience with IT solutions in the Automotive, Transportation, Logistics, Telecommunications, and Energy industries, as well as for governments. Steffen has been working in Program Manager, Executive IT Architect, Executive Business Development, and Strategy Consulting roles on complex projects and has experience in leading large, distributed teams. Throughout the past 15 years at Siemens and IBM, Steffen has constantly been working on leading-edge solutions around Mobile Internet, Sensor Networks, and the Internet of Things. He is author of a book and numerous articles, a Distinguished IT Architect certified by Open Group and Senior Member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). Steffen has worked in many countries, including New Zealand, Scandinavia, US, India, and China.

Antonio Jara Vice-Chair of the IEEE ComSoc Internet of Things Emerging Technical Subcommittee; Assistant Prof. Post Doc University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland Antonio J. Jara; Assistant Prof. PostDoc at University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (HES-SO) from Switzerland, vice-chair of the IEEE Communications Society Internet of Things Technical Committee, and founder of the Wearable Computing and Personal Area Networks company HOP Ubiquitous S.L. He did his PhD (Cum Laude) at the Intelligent Systems and Telematics Research Group of the University of Murcia (UMU) from Spain. He received two M.S. (Hons. – valedictorian) degrees. Since 2007, he has been working on several projects related to IPv6, WSNs. and RFID applications in building automation and healthcare. He is especially focused on the design and development of new protocols for security and mobility for Future Internet of things, which was the topic of his Ph.D. Nowadays, he continues working on IPv6 technologies for the Internet of Things in projects such as IoT6, and also Big Data and Knowledge Engineering for Smart Cities and eHealth. He has also carried out a Master in Business Administration (MBA). He has published over 100 international papers, as well, he holds one patent. Finally, he participates in several Projects about the IPv6, Internet of Things, Smart Cities, and mobile healthcare.

Lennart Christensson has more than 25 years in the industry, as technology manager/CTO for some small/larger companies like TetraPak & ABB within Industrial IT & Automation. He joined GE in 2004 and is currently in the GE Intelligent Platforms’ Equipment Insight team, a business unit focused on making the Industrial Internet real for Equipment Manufacturers. He is responsible for leveraging GE’s portfolio of industrial IT and automation solutions to deliver cloud based infrastructure for automation equipment deployment and management as the Business Leader Europe Connected Machines.

Bodo Körber Managing Director – Digital Enterprise, Analytics, Internet of Things Accenture Bodo Körber is a Managing Director at Accenture Digital Germany responsible for the design and delivery of innovative client engagements in the areas of Digital customer and enterprise. Since 1991 he worked for companies like Unilever, NEC, SAP, Rheinmetall and IBM in national and international executive positions, covering sales and delivery in consulting, application management and outsourcing serving process and discrete industries clients. His specialties span across manufacturing, supply chain, CRM, e-commerce, big data analytics and Internet of Things (IoT). Bodo holds master degrees in Computer Science, Business Administration and Marketing.

Lennart began his career in GE’s industrial software business with roles in consulting, sales, and marketing. Since that time, he has provided commercial leadership across various aspects of GE’s automation business, including sales management, key account management and channel management. Before joining the Equipment Insight team he had a role promoting solutions to GE internally – like Remote Monitoring & Analysis solution, an area GE is leading. He is located in Sweden and holds a M.Sc. Engineering Physics from Chalmers University.

Bodo leads the IoT activities for Accenture in Austria, Switzerland, Germany and is member of Accenture´s global IoT leadership team.
