Rescheduling of games In the event that games are cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, for example weather and other “acts of God,” we will reschedule the games for a later date. However, if a game gets cancelled during the game and more than 28 minutes of the game have elapsed there will be no reschedule. In this event the score at the time of the game being cancelled will be recorded as the final result. Where possible, we will offer alternative dates to reschedule a cancelled game. However, if a date and time, out of the given dates, cannot be agreed on between the two teams the league scheduler will determine the date of the reschedule. Where possible this will be scheduled as a double-header. See the Soccer Game Cancellation Procedure document for full details

Referee No-Show In the event that the referee is not there to officiate a game, the game will go ahead and will be recorded as a regular game. Results will be counted for standings etc. We will do all we can to make sure that all games have referees. League Play The first 6 weeks/games of the session will be conducted as round robin play the last two weeks/games are playoffs and finals. However, depending on the number of teams in the league there may be occasions where every team will not play every team. Points will be awarded as shown in the “Rules to Determine league Standings” section. Playoffs and Final(s) The structure of the playoffs and final(s) will be affected by the number of teams in the league. The example below shows a league with 12 teams. Leagues with lower numbers will have a similar structure will be developed specifically for the number of teams in the league.

If tied at the end of regulation, the game will go into a five minute sudden-death period. Both teams play 3 V 3, the players involved must have been on the field during regulation game time. One of 3 players must be designated as a goalkeeper. 3 v 3 will begin with a drop ball in center circle. Co-ed leagues must have at least one female on the field. Play continues until a goal is scored or time runs out, whichever comes first. Substitutions are allowed during the sudden-death period but not guaranteed. If still tied, penalty kicks will then take place. Kickers consist of five different players, Co-ed leagues must alternate between genders with each penalty kick e.g. male, female, male, female, until this is not possible without a player taking their second penalty kick before another player has taken their first penalty kick. If the game is still tied after five penalty kicks the penalty shoot out will become sudden death.
