Reliable colours Serenity, power and optimism inspired the colours for autumn 2016, which is blue and its various tones. The colour blue, like the sky, represents permanence and reliability, while grey symbolises stability and black symbolises power. The structure of materials also suggests continuity. In addition, the warm earth tones reinforcing self-confidence, and vibrating strong colours also play a key role: mustard yellow and pinkish purple are reminiscent of the exotic Far-East. Soft pink, purple and blue pastel shades never failed to lend a pleasant and elegant appearance to the wearer. Pink and its various tones remain en vogue, reminiscent of the summer, and its different tones can be worn as a sweater or a patterned muslin blouse, whichever you prefer. Grey and black are a reliable combination, either as accessories or the basic tones of our outfit, as long as we choose refined materials.

Dressed for the occasion Plissé, lace, silk, velvet, velour, plaid or dotted, indigo blue or rich dark red. The retro designs, materials, colours and patterns of the 80s are all equally on trend for this season’s wardrobe. The featherweight materials, the ample use of silk and lace, pastel tones are all reminiscent of a romantic era, when men bowed down before confident women dressed in combinations of these materials and tones. Traditionally elegant dark tones may be very different based on the choice of material. Silky muslin adorned with small patterns, plissé orange red or black lace is sure to make an impression. Venom green with black patterns, dark blue with burgundy patterns or powder pink can all be the defining colours of an elegant outfit for a special occasion.

Nostalgia and sunshine A well-chosen shoe, bag or pair of sunglasses can be a key element of our appearance, so it is imperative to choose them according to the occasion. Leather drawstring pouches that were popular at the beginning of the last century became a staple in the 1980s and are now seeing a revival. Masculine cross body bags combine everyday comfort and functionality. A dark blue business-like bag, a frilled ochre nostalgia bag or a conservative beige shoulder bag are designed for different occasions. Italians believe that one should always have a pair of sunglasses, so those with a Mediterranean streak need a little more space in their handbags. The most resilient trend in sunglasses remains the nostalgic look, harkening back to either the 50s or 60s, or the 70s and 80s. For fall 2016, it is once again all about accessories.

Freedom to flow The predominating trends in child’s fashion this autumn are fully aligned with adult fashion in terms of both colours and shapes. A sporty coat, cool jeans and textile pants and comfortable boots are the perfect attire for boyish adventures outdoors. Jeans are also in for girls this season, paired with finely patterned shirts or boyish sweaters. Streamlined shapes and soft materials are also best suited to children. Such clothing is soft and easy to handle, and provides room for movement and comfort for little ones. As the cold weather sets in, comfort and sturdiness are primary considerations for shoes. Alongside movement, creative energies must also be allowed to flow freely. MOM Park aims to foster these energies by offering a wealth of capacity development games and drawing tools for children.

Casual elegance This is a perfect time to streamline the male wardrobe. Layering is the thing to do this season when it comes to men’s fashion, stacking thin, high-quality materials suited to the weather. The keywords are comfort, casualness and a well put-together look. One of the season’s basic colours is indigo blue, a perfect complement to the camel brown tones that have regained popularity. Comfort and stylishness are a winning combination in men’s fashion in 2016. A wool jacket, a few knitted tops and an elegant scarf are essential pieces for autumn. Sporty and classic sweaters remain trendy, while shirts come adorned with discrete patterns or in monochromatic models. When choosing the suit, the devil is in the details — stylish accents, and sophisticated textile structures. The predominant colours are various shades of white, blue, grey, alongside black.

Individual style Accessories remain essential, as a well-chosen piece can spice up an entire outfit. Accessories should be changed according to the season to remain on trend. For the stylish man, quality is just as essential as being on trend. A wristwatch not only shows the time, but is also a reflection of the wearer’s personal style. The styles can range from sporty, retro to digital, and be made of leather, plastic or metal, with an infinity of variations available. MOM Park offers a wide array of fashion, design and consumer electronics for male shoppers. An excellent eyeglass frame or pair of sunglasses, a sophisticated pen or wristwatch can be the perfect gift for you or someone else.

The scents of autumn Scents allow us to essentially buy emotions, elicited in both ourselves and our environment with a well-chosen perfume. As the new seasons set in, we yearn for different types of scents; other life factors may also come into play. People tend to choose their perfume themselves, a decision shaped by different factors and preceded by a lot of questioning and experimenting. If you are uncertain, don’t hesitate to seek out a professional. Fall is generally the time for richer, warmer, sweet and spicy scents. But don’t be afraid to try something new besides the tried and tested classics of major fashion and perfume brands, from citrusy scents to masculine musk, all the way through rose. Although perfume bottles are often works of art in and of themselves, your favourite perfume should be kept away from heat and sunlight.

Signature – Sky-blue

Signature – Snow white GANT has gained huge popularity worldwide thanks to its top-of-the-line quality shirts and the innovative solutions they offer. These include the small hanging loop placed on the back of the shirt that allows it to be hung on a locker hanger without creasing. In the past, the small hanging loop even played a role in the love-life of Ivy League university students. If a guy was in a relationship, he would cut the hanging loop off the back of the shirt, and his girlfriend would wear his scarf. Another unique feature are the folds found on the back of GANT shirts that allow the wearer to move more freely, just like the buttons located on the back of the collar. The button prevents one tie from twisting to the side and the collar from turning upwards.

This season, MAX&Co. is presenting its new Il Mio Cappotto capsule collection of coats, featuring unrivalled style and exquisite tailoring. The capsule collection pairs timeless sophisticated materials with expert craftsmanship. Precisely tailored, the collection reflects the latest silhouette and colour trends. Every Il Mio Cappotto coat is both classic and contemporary. Every model is made in Italy by the most renowned Italian textile experts. The designers were inspired by the fashion seen on the streets of Paris, London, Tokyo, Moscow, Hong Kong and Milan. The elegance of Milan’s tailoring is reflected in this timeless and unequivocally Italian icon: sky-blue ultraluxury coat made of 100% wool, which pairs equally well with a skirt or rebellious pair of boyfriend jeans. A sound investment that should be a staple in every chic woman’s wardrobe.

GANT uniquely symbolises timeless, comfortably casual, perfect elegance. The brand is targeted towards consumers who work hard but are also able to relax while leading a busy urban life. 20

Haircare tips A healthy scalp is only 20% genetics, while the other 80% is shaped by other external factors such as pollutants, stress or improper product use. One of the many consequences these may have include hair loss, a condition faced by many. Kérastase researchers have developed the #Specifique range specifically to provide a special six-week intensive care treatment course for your hair. Instead of trying to fight it incessantly, ask your hairdresser for long-term protection against hair loss. The experts at Kérastase have always stressed the importance of a healthy scalp for shiny-looking hair. This is why years ago they developed the special #Specifique range of haircare products to help both men and women address greasy hair and dandruff, or issues caused by the sensitive scalp. #Specifique was already popular by 1989. The product range was supplemented by a new haircare technology that addresses scalp concerns while giving you a luxurious experience. Drying and flat ironing your hair without any worries Using heat is very taxing for dry hair. What can we do to protect it? Nectar Thermique is a leave-in conditioner that provides heat protection for the hair. It is particularly useful if you have dry hair, as it nourishes your hair and while lending it softness and shine from roots to tips. It not only protects it from the negative effects of heat but also renders your hair soft to the touch.

AUTUMN nostalgia

We met up with television host Gabriella Jakupcsek at MOM Park. Park Magazin: You can often be seen around here; someone even said that you live in MOM Park. Gabriella Jakupcsek: This is a central location for me; my kids come here for their sporting activities, and I myself also work out in the neighbourhood. It is the perfect place to schedule meetings between the hilly suburbs and the city. Indeed, I spend a lot of time here. PM: Everything is about autumn right now; what are your feelings about the season? GJ: I like autumn as long as the sun is shining. All of my children were born during the autumn, so I always feel nostalgic during the season. I am somehow always reminded of the expectation and excitement that I felt at the time. But spring is actually my favourite season. PM: Your favourite painter? GJ: I have quite a few, but I’m currently a loving Modigliani, who I have taken a keen interest in as of late in the wake of exhibition in the Buda Castle. I have seen several special exhibition tours, and have even held one myself, which has allowed me to delve into the subject of painting.

26

This is not work, but leisure for me, as I studied art history in my youth. I was asked to host the exhibition tour at a corporate event. It was an honour to take part in the tour, because it really means something when a company gifts such a unique cultural experience to its employees. PM: And your favourite colour? GJ: Blue is my favourite colour. For me, autumn is pinkish grey, and I am extremely happy that this season, light pastel tones are on trend. PM: What has been keeping you busy lately? GJ: TI’m currently working on a book amongst other things, which is always a positive experience. The book will come out in November, and is entitled Megúszhatatlan – Ahogy a gyerekeimnek elmesélem (No way around it — How I tell it to my children). The book addresses the issues that matter to me: the questions that one must face when one has children. They might seem like simple things, but explaining them to an eight-year-old is not always easy. In addition, I have immersed myself in my older projects that I was unable to do alongside my daily episodes of filming. This includes training courses, corporate communication work, audience meet ups, teaching — which I have always really loved, and now I finally have the time to dedicate myself to it.

27

The warmth of home As autumn sets in, we spend more time in the warmth of our home than outside. Adding a few pieces to our living room or kitchen can really enhance our living space without redoing the entire apartment. Sitting at a candlelit dinner table with a glass of fine wine in our hands transforms foggy autumn nights into something magical. A bottle of wine aptly chosen to accompany our meal can make any dinner or dinner party exceptional. A memorable evening hosting friends depends not only on the fantastic three-course menu and the excellent wines offered, but also on the atmosphere and casual conversation that define the evening. Make sure to provide tasty bites, but avoid overdoing service. Remain natural and let go of your worries, instead putting yourself in the hands of MOM Park’s experts for choosing the right foods and wines.

Changing seasons MOM Leroy gets a facelift Try this recipe created by MOM Leroy’s chef for the autumn season. The restaurant’s newest acquisition is its Green Egg grill, which boasts a thick ceramic coating that retains and circulates heat in such a way that turning the food is no longer required to obtain the perfect taste. Foods prepared in the Green Egg grill are not only a treat for the eyes, but also for taste buds. Our favourite meal: Duck breast steak with chili and hazelnuts Duck breast cooked sous vide with spiced oil for one hour at 56°C and then cooked rare in the Green Egg. Sauce: Peanut butter Red curry paste Hazelnuts Meat broth Side: Mashed potatoes mixed with fresh arugula If this recipe have sparked your interest, the restaurant is open every day of the week, Monday through Sunday.

INNOVATIVE IDEAS Classic flavours with a twist — entirely different flavours, in a similar way. No matter what the food, our kitchen has one single goal: to offer a full experience, both visual and gustatory. POLLO PICCANTE – an explosion of flavours and colours Grilled chicken breast bites, bok choy and bell peppers, richly drenched in orange chilli sauce, accompanied by your favourite pasta.

Cziffra slice The name itself suggests something special. An homage to the oeuvre of a genius of a musician, pianist György Cziffra, whose lifetime achievement perfectly exemplifies Fellini’s assertion that “we all spend our lives looking for that one special trick that is unique to us, that will get us the audience’s applause. Those who find this trick are lucky.” György Cziffra was not a pretender. He played. A genius whose life, temperament and entire being was music. Despite the hurdles that life placed before him, he did not waver from his calling. A confectionery delight for the dedicated music lover, the stylised piano key made of white and dark chocolate tops two layers of sponge cake hiding a memorable virtuoso combination of unique notes: apricot jam, syrup, rum and raisins and tart cherry pulp. Nothing is missing, and nothing can be taken away. In this regard as well, the Cziffra slice is worthy of its namesake.

Buon appetito!
