This is the Title of the game, usually found on the cartridge. The listings are organized by title beginning with the numbers 0 through 9 and then alphabetically A through Z. ( ) Parentheses after a title with a word enclosed indicate either the abnormal color of the cartridge such as (Gold) or an abnormal type of cartridge such as (Aladdin).

This is the name of the company that produced the game. Some games have multiple producers.

*Very fewof these games were produced before Bandai was forced to cease production. It was then released by Nintendo as World Class Track Meet (exact same game, except for name). This is the hardest game to find that is licensed by Nintendo. Many sellers will tryto sell the PAL version of this game either misrepresenting it as NTSC or as bait for people who don’t know the difference between the PAL and NTSC versions. Special Notes Is this every Nintendo NES Game ever? Nope. I have tried my best to find and record data on every NES game I could find, but I know I have not found all of them yet. Just from my last guide, I have added nearly 100 more games. This list does include every licensed game by Nintendo and probably most of the unlicensed ones as well. How to Clean NES Cartridges Dust and dirt are usually the reason why old school Nintendo NES games have problems working. Remember all that blowing and special tinkering to get these games to work? Well, cleaning them makes them work much, much better. Usually (if you have a good system) clean games work almost every time. Here's what you'll need: • Box of Q-Tips • Bottle of Glass Cleaner • Small Glass or Cup • Rubbing Alcohol • Rag The inside is what matters in making them work. To clean it this way, you have to clean the contacts. These are the little metal pins on the bottom of the game that are read by the system. First, get the cup and fill it with some squirts of Glass Cleaner. Dip the end of the Q-tip in the glass cleaner to get it nice and ready. Then, use this wet Q-tip to clean the contacts one at a time in an up and down motion. After finishing a side doing this, I also like to drag it horizontally at the very end of the contacts, where they go inside the cartridge - dirt always seems to get trapped in there. Take your Q-tip out and it's probably very dirty. Repeat this process until the Q-tip comes out fairly clean. Then do the same thing on the other side of the cartridge (there are contacts on both sides). Now your contacts should be very clean and wet. For this reason, it's a good idea to wait 4 or 5 hours before testing the game in your system. You never want to put a wet game in your system. Now, if the contacts are very dirty, use some of the rubbing alcohol instead of the glass cleaner. This works better, but don't use this naturally - the alcohol can cause the contacts to rust and that is never good. If you want to clean the outside of the cartridge (permanent marker, sticker residue, pen, etc.) rubbing alcohol usually does the trick. Just put some on a rag and see if you can rub it off. Make sure not to be too abrasive and you have to be extra careful around the label. Well, after waiting for the game to dry, send it in your NES and see if it works. Sometimes the game will still flash a screen for a bit. This is usually because the contacts are still wet. You should try it again later or try cleaning it again.

How to Open NES Game Cartridges Want to knowyour games inside and out? Here’s a quick guide on howto open up your cartridges and check out what it is that makes them tic. NOTE: Be extra careful with the board inside the cartridge. Don’t drop it, touch the circuits or in any way mess with the board unless you knowwhat you’re doing or you might just destroy the game.
Licensed Gray Cartridges: 3-Screw and 5-Screw Equipment Needed:
Slotted Screwdriver Bit
3.88 MM Security Bit
This is what the vast majority of cartridges will look like and luckily these are the easiest to open up as well. There are two types of screws you can find on these cartridges: Regular Slotted Screws and the Nintendo Security Screws. For the Regular Slotted Screws just use a Regular Slotted Screwdriver to remove the screws. However, for the Nintendo Security Screws, you’ll need a special 3.88 MM SecurityBit tool that you can find at some gaming stores, but will most likely have to order online. Once the screws are removed, you just have to remove the back cover. For the 3-Screwgames you’ll have to tilt the bottom of the game up and slide the back cover off. For the 5-Screwgames the back cover can just be removed by lifting it straight up.

Tengen Game Cartridges: DO NOT OPEN Equipment Needed:
Six Pointed Star Bit
Opening Tengen carts is quite a pain. You have to remove the three Six Pointed Star Screws and then tilt the bottom of the cartridge up and slide the back of the cartridge off. The problem is that one of the screws is located in the middle of the back label, which means to remove it you must put a hole in the back label which is not a good idea. I recommend leaving these cartridges closed.
Wisdom Tree / American Video / Color Dreams / Bunch Games: DO NOT OPEN Equipment Needed:
Phillips Head Screwdriver Bit
You can open these carts by removing the 5 Phillips Head Screws on the back. After that, the back of the cartridges come right off. The problem once again is that they strategically placed one of the screws in the middle of the back label. They sure try to keep you out of these…

Camerica Game Cartridges Equipment Needed:
Phillips Head Screwdriver Bit
These carts are verysimple to open. Just remove the three Phillips Head Screws, tilt the bottom of the cart up, and remove the back cover. Just avoid catching the case on the dip switch in the back.
Sachen Game Cartridges Equipment Needed:
Tri-Wing Screwdriver Bit
Usually these games aren’t too difficult to open. There are 4 Tri-Wing Screws in the corners and a hole in the middle without a screw. Just remove the four screws and lift the back of the cartridge up. Just don’t forget not to put a screw in the middle hole or you’ll be putting it right through the board.
S. E. I. Game Cartridges Equipment Needed:
Phillips Head Screwdriver Bit
These cartridges are very easy to open. Just remove the 3 Phillips Head Screws and lift the back of the cartridge off. Nothing too difficult here.
