Hurworth Plan Questionnaire

Strawberry Fair, Village Green: July 2006

What is the questionnaire for? Hurworth Parish Council is currently putting together a Parish Plan. This document reviews past issues and progress made, looks at current concerns, facilities and activities in Hurworth and also presents an action plan towards a preferred future for the community. In order for us to achieve this, we need to collect up to date and accurate information on conditions, views and lifestyles in the area. The questions are specific to our Parish and there is plenty of space to add your comments if there is anything you wish to add. Who is organising it? The Plan is being developed by a group of Parish Councillors, village representatives and local people. You may like to join this group, and you will be most welcome. What happens next? Once the questionnaires are returned, the information will be analysed and the results presented in a meaningful way.

Hurworth Parish Plan Questionnaire

Who will listen? This is where the real work begins. It is important to prepare an action plan from the results and to make sure that the Parish and Borough councils are all aware of the community’s wishes. Early approaches to relevant bodies can often open up discussions on local plans and policies and may even produce funding for local projects. The Parish Plan can be a powerful lobbying tool with Councils and other organizations, in particular when Planning Approvals are an issue. Confidentiality The questionnaire is completely anonymous - you do not need to put your name or address on it. However if you are willing to be contacted, want more information, or are prepared to get more involved with the Plan please remember to fill in your details at the end of the form. We do however require your post code to try to ensure that the analysis of the results is fully representative of all the residents who live in the Parish. Help If you require a large print version of the form, need help to complete the questionnaire or simply require additional copies of the questionnaire for other members of your household please contact BY POST: Parish Office, Hurworth Grange, Croft Road, Hurworth Place. DL2 1BN. BY PHONE: Parish Office 01325 722 171. BY EMAIL: [email protected] How do I complete the Questionnaire? The questionnaire should take about 15 minutes to complete. Please use a black or blue pen to tick the boxes and write comments. Please follow the instructions for each question as some questions just require a tick and some a written response. If you do not want to answer a question just leave it blank. How do I Return the Questionnaire? You can return it by hand to the Parish Office, at the Grange, Hurworth or via FREEPOST post, just put it the enclosed envelope and post it. If you wish to e-mail an electronic copy then please return as an attachment to: [email protected] The closing date for the return of this questionnaire is Friday 3 April 2009.

Please take the time to fill in this survey: You really can make a difference.
