Humares makes knowledge work!

SPECIALIZATION AS THE BASIS OF SUCCESS In this turbulent international job market, Humares successfully supports its clients in finding qualified technical specialists of various levels together with solidly operating companies. How do we manage to do this? We do so by giving our ambitious employees the necessary space to apply their (labor market) knowledge to their work with our specialist companies. Backed by our strong service focus they can, therefore, offer the best possible solutions. In this article, we want to share our thoughts and successes, achieved by drive and passion, with you.

VISION

MISSION

Humares makes knowledge work! In our vision at Humares, we see economic unpredictability, increasing internationalization and ageing populations leading to a structural shortage of technical specialists. At the same time, as a result of the GFC, the need for flexibility is also increasing. Humares wants to make a difference in the labor market as an expert in technical specialists. In a future in which the gap between supply and demand is becoming more diffuse and widening, Humares ensures continuity and security. Humares does this by the continuous development of the knowledge and competencies of specialists and staff.

POWERFUL HUMARES HUMARES is an international service provider in a flexible labor market. Our focus is on providing (inter)national availability and access to specialist technical knowledge and capacity, based on three concepts for personal service:

ECONOMIC GROWTH worldwide but involving big regional and national differences

The labor market in a global perspective For our vision at Humares, it is necessary to view the labor market in a worldwide perspective. The current (inter)national labor market has to do with globalization, aging populations, technological developments, fluctuating economic growth, and increasing diversity. Innovative international concepts There is economic turbulence and growing world trading on a worldwide scale. The imbalance between supply and demand of personnel is quite obvious. The employment population totals 3.2 billion people worldwide, but these people are not necessarily available at locations of the existing demand. Increasingly rapid technological developments are leading to a growing demand for new technical knowledge. Companies manage themselves on a project basis and have an increasing need for flexibility. Thus, the challenge to provide the right knowledge at the right time also continues to grow. HUMARES is capable of contributing active solutions for this existing deficit through innovative international concepts for personnel services.

CONCEPTS FOR PERSONNEL SERVICE PROVISION

“WE ARE A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR INTERNATIONAL RECRUITMENT” Hevoform from Herk-de-Stad (Belgium) produces furniture for kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and offices, for furniture companies and interior constructors. For years, Hevoform has been using Impact for larger or lengthier commissions. Specifically searching for motivated international CNCprogrammers and operators.

Discovering the right and hard to find employee for a specialist function; that is the challenge. Humares operating companies support their clients in this by applying three unique concepts for personnel services: Local for Local, International Distance Matching, and Learning & Development. CONTINUOUS SOURCING OF INTERNATIONAL SPECIALISTS International Distance Matching Specialists who have the correct knowledge and skills are rare and will become even harder to find. Sometimes the best talent is available in countries other than the one that has the demand for it. For this reason, Humares recruits internationally for the desired specialists using the following expertise: • Knowledge of the international technical labor market(s) • Knowledge of international laws and regulations • Knowledge of international recruitment channels • International database • Education and qualifications • Local employment personnel

“We are a loyal customer for international recruitment. We need well educated, motivated CNC-programmers and operators to handle our machines. These people are hard to find in the labour market in Belgian Limburg. That is why we have four to six Polish employees working with us, who stay here for longer periods of time. Impact helps us find these people. One of ‘our Poles’ has even bought a house here. He’s learning the language now and wants to build a future for his family in Limburg. Impact is supporting this trajectory and helping him to find work for his wife and a good school for his children. That extra support is very important, to us as well.” Chris Heeren, Hevoform

CONCEPTS FOR PERSONNEL SERVICE PROVISION

CONTINUOUS COMPETENCY DEVELOPMENT Learning & Development Technical companies need people with upto-date knowledge. The labor market calls for ever faster changing competences. People are being trained for jobs that don’t even exist yet and so continuous staff development is crucial. • Knowledge of changing demands in the technical job market • Own educators and facilitators • Contact with external trainers

“AN APPRENTICESHIP OFFERS MORE SECURITY AND LESS RISK FOR EMPLOYERS.” Landustrie from Sneek offers employees the space they need to grow and develop. The company makes (parts for) sewage treatment plants and is over one hundred years old. Wiebren Poelstra started at Landustrie nearly a quarter of a century ago, as engine fitter. He continued his career as work planner and chief draughtsman. Currently, he is in charge of various departments of the factory, amongst others chipping and benchworking. Maintec helped him find a chipping pupil through an apprenticeship trajectory. “This kid has just completed his first year in second level chipping. Maintec trains him on the theoretical, we train him on the job; we are definitely working together in this. The great advantage is that we don’t have to waste time on recruitment & selection; a substantial saving. Maintec helped us secure the right candidate. Not someone who just ‘pushes buttons’, but someone who wants to be broadly involved within Landustrie. The operation of a machine should never depend on just one person, so in the long run ‘our guys’ need to possess all the necessary skills to programme and operate all our machines. This pupil is employed by Maintec for the first two years, which gives us time to get used to one another before entering into a contract. This apprenticeship offers us, as employers, more security and less risk.” Wiebren Poelstra, Landustrie

GLOBAL LOCATIONS “AFTER PLACEMENT, CONTACT WITH US AS WELL AS WITH THE CANDIDATE CONTINUES TO BE INTENSIVE” Shell is a leading group of energy and petrochemical companies that operates worldwide. With 87,000 employees globally, 11,000 of which are in the Netherlands, it is also a large-scale employer. As Contractor & Construction HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environmental) Lead, Rob van Gils ensures that various and large projects can be completely in safe and healthy conditions. To achieve this, he has been working with the ‘preferred supplier’ Isoper for many years.

SPECIALIST RECRUITMENT Local for Local If communication in the local settings and knowledge of local operations is important, specialists need to come from local environments. Finding and matching these specialists demands knowledge of the local technological labor market. This is why we are situated locally with: • Technical knowledge • Knowledge of the local labor market • A local network • Advanced systems in which different sources (databases, search tools, networks) of technical personnel are combined together

Humares is committed to the international employment market and, therefore, has branches located in locations worldwide. Maintec NOVA Engineering Oceanwide Impact

“For every project, we put together a team of safety experts. Isoper often helps us to create these teams. They are capable of quickly assessing our needs and to provide the matching profiles. Their advice on the most appropriate candidate is mostly quite accurate. We have developed a high level of trust in them. Isoper pays a lot of attention to personal contact and I find that very important. You notice this immediately by the way their candidates are prepared for their interviews. Once a placement has been arranged, the contact between us and the candidate also continues to be intensive. This strengthens our bond and has a positive impact on overall functioning.”
