Managing your payroll should be clear and straightforward

Sage HR & Payroll offers a flexible payroll solution designed to fit the payroll needs of your organisation with ease and accuracy. Our Payroll software meets the statutory payroll requirements for the HMRC PAYE recognition scheme, and supports UK, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey legislation.

Key Features

Users can calculate tax and National Insurance, as well as handling employee records, credits and deductions within the payroll module. HMRC online reporting, including P11Ds, RTI and Pension Auto-Enrolment can all be managed meaning that your administration and paperwork is reduced.

The Payroll module is designed to support your key processes to help you save time, improve accuracy and streamline your payroll management processes. Super payroll/multiple payrolls Streamline your administration processes with our Super Payroll option, especially if you have more than one payroll. Super Payroll gives you the flexibility to run the same routine across multiple payrolls, processing more than one payroll at a time and running reports to compare performance. Absence management The absence management feature allows you to monitor and analyse all types of absence, from jury service and holiday, to sickness – with the flexibility to record data in hours, minutes, days, half days or weeks. SSP payments can be automatically generated against the absence dates, saving you time in locating and calculating this data manually.

The parental pay feature helps you keep clear and accurate details and keep everyone informed by automating the whole process.

The payslip history feature acts as an archive for all your payslip data. Whether you need to search out a single detail or call up a series of payslips from any period over a range of tax years - all the information is in the same place.

The following processes are supported within our Payroll module:

By entering the expected week of confinement for maternity leave, everything can be automatically calculated for you, including the earliest dates for maternity leave, payments and other details. Should things change, for example if an employee returns to work sooner than scheduled, you can recalculate payments quickly and easily and keep records of all the different pay rates that apply. These details are automatically transferred into the main payroll system. The system will also handle statutory paternity and adoption pay, including the transfer of leave between partners. If you’re also using our Personnel module, relevant information such as parental pay and absence can be transferred seamlessly to help you keep all your records up-to-date and avoid double keying. Our Self-Service module will allow responsibility for maintaining employee details, entering timesheets and absence requests to be devolved to employee’s line managers to reduce the time you spend on admin.

For example, you can automatically calculate things like payments, deductions and cumulative totals over time. So if you get a question about anything from bonus payments to salary sacrifice, you have the information at hand. Real Time Information (RTI)

On its own, it provides a complete payroll management solution, but modular enhancements are available to give you even more value. P11D Collecting, storing and accounting for details of all your employees’ taxable benefits can be a complex job, but the P11D module is designed to help you keep on top of it all. Record, store and retrieve all the information you need, no matter how many companies, employees or different benefits you need to account for. Everything is laid out in the same style as the returns required by the HMRC, so you can be sure you’re recording the information you need. Occupational sick pay Our payroll software can be adapted to cater for a wide range of occupational schemes. We will be happy to discuss your individual requirements. Salary sacrifice Salary sacrifice can bring real savings to both businesses and their employees. We offer a fully, part managed or bureau payroll service where we take responsibility for processing all or part of your payroll.

Recent global and local events have left us in no doubt that organisations need to have a contingency plan should emergencies arise. Employees still need to be paid even if a crisis occurs and you can’t run your payroll.

Our ePayslip solution allows employees to securely access their current and previous payslip details anytime from the office or at home. Time Attendance & Workforce Management We partner with a third party, Mark Information, to provide an integrated Time Attendance & Workforce Management solution. This solution reduces administration by enabling employees to update their own time and attendance information online in realtime. This provides an easier way to manage rotas, overtime and analyse productivity with the information being passed seamlessly to your payroll.

No more worries about printing costs, stationery and sending payslips out. Simply transmit the relevant files to us and we’ll print, seal and deliver your payslips to your offices, or if you prefer, directly to your employees. Alternatively, you could use our ePayslip module to deliver payslips securely via an online portal with an email notification to employees when their payslip is available.

Our Emergency Payroll service has been designed so that should an emergency occur we can run your payroll for you. We will provide the services and support of a professional outsourced payroll department that will follow and understand your needs and processes.

The module is flexible, no matter how complex your rotas or working patterns or the structure and size of your organisation. It also allows you to record employee presence automatically using time clocks, mobile devices or PCs.

Self-Service Mobile App Available for BlackBerry and the iPhone the mobile app allows your employees and managers to access Self-Service remotely via their mobile phones for things such as, requesting and authorising holiday and other absences, record sickness and viewing their payslips online. Being able to make and respond to requests promptly, making good use of those spare minutes while travelling for instance, improves productivity, aids communication and increases employee engagement. ePayslips Employees can view current and historical payslips through a secure portal 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
