How to set up an infrastructure network for wireless manikins Systems used:

- Ambu wireless manikin without encryption - Ambu wireless manikin with encryption

- Router D-Link DI-524 (without wireless encryption) - Router D-Link DI-524 (with wireless encryption)

- Router Netgear WGR 614 L (without wireless encryption) - Router Netgear WGR 614 L (with wireless encryption)

Configuration of Wireless manikin without encryption -

Connect the manikin via USB to the computer Turn on the manikin Start the configuration software “WiFi.exe” from the CPR-Software CD or from the root folder of the software (C:\Program Files\Ambu CPR) Change the SSID to “Ambu_w_manikin_network” (1) Change the Mode to “Infrastructure” (2) Change the Channel to “Auto” (3) Change the Method to “Automatic (DHCP)” (4) If necessary for better identification of the manikins (for multi manikin use) change the Hostname (i.e AmbuMan) (5)

Click on “Update manikin”

Connect the manikin via USB to the computer Turn on the manikin Start the configuration software “WiFi.exe” from the CPR-Software CD or from the root folder of the software (C:\Program Files\Ambu CPR) (Picture) Start the configuration software “WiFi.exe” from the CPR-Software CD or from the root folder of the software (C:\Program Files\Ambu CPR) Change the SSID to “Ambu_w_manikin_network” (1) Change the Mode to “Infrastructure” (2) Change the Channel to “Auto” (3) Change the Security to “WPA” (4) Change the Password to “AmbuWireless2009” (5) Change the Method to “Automatic (DHCP)” (6) If necessary for better identification of the manikins (for multi manikin use) change the Hostname (i.e AmbuMan) (7)

Click on “Update manikin”

Configuration of D-Link DI-524 without encryption: -

Set up the router and attach the power supply. Connect the blue LAN cable to port 1 of the router.

Connect the other end of the cable to the computer

Open the Internet Explorer Type in the address field “192.168.0.1”

Type in the user name “admin”

-

Leave the field for password empty and click on “ok”. Click on “Wireless” on the left menu bar.

Type in the field “Network ID(SSID)” the new network name :“Ambu_w_manikin_network”

-

Click on “Apply” Close the Internet Explorer

Connect to the router o Open your wireless connection manager and search for wireless networks

o -

Connect to the network “Ambu_w_manikin_network”

Connect to the manikin o Turn on the configured manikin. o Start the CPR-Software as described in the CPR-Software Manual

Configuration of D-Link DI-524 with encryption: -

Set up the router and attach the power supply. Connect the blue LAN cable to port 1 of the router.

Open the Internet Explorer Type in the address field “192.168.0.1”

Type in the user name “admin”

Type in the field “Network ID(SSID)” the new network name :“Ambu_w_manikin_network” Click on the drop down menu for Security and choose “WPA-PSK /WPA2 – PSK” Enter the preshared key “AmbuWireless2009”

Click on “Apply” Close the Internet Explorer

Connect to the router o Open your wireless connection manager and search for wireless networks

o o -

Connect to the network “Ambu_w_manikin_network” Enter the password “AmbuWireless2009”

Connect to the manikin o Turn on the configured manikin. o Start the CPR-Software as described in the CPR-Software Manual

Configuration of Netgear WGR614L without encryption -

Set up the router and attach the power supply. Connect the yellow LAN cable to port 1 of the router.

Connect the other end of the cable to the computer

Open the Internet Explorer Type in the address field “www.routerlogin.net”

-

Type in the user name “admin” Type in the password “password” and click on “ok”.

Click on “wireless settings”

Type in the field “Name (SSID)” the new network name “Ambu_w_manikin_network”

Close the Internet Explorer

Connect to the router o Open your wireless connection manager and search for wireless networks

o -

Connect to the network “Ambu_w_manikin_network”

Connect to the manikin o Turn on the configured manikin. o Start the CPR-Software as described in the CPR-Software Manual

Configuration of Netgear WGR614L with encryption -

Set up the router and attach the power supply. Connect the yellow LAN cable to port 1 of the router.

Connect the other end of the cable to the computer

Open the Internet Explorer Type in the address field “www.routerlogin.net”

Type in the user name “admin” Type in the password “password” and click on “ok”.

Click on “wireless settings”

Type in the field “Name (SSID)” the new network name “Ambu_w_manikin_network” Select: WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES] Enter the preshared key “AmbuWireless2009”

Close the Internet Explorer

Connect to the network “Ambu_w_manikin_network” Enter the password “AmbuWireless2009”

Connect to the manikin o Turn on the configured manikin. o Start the CPR-Software as described in the CPR-Software Manual
