PREPARATION
Be Prepared • What is expected? – Full attendance – Full participation in on-field and classroom sessions – Understanding of material – Level of fitness – Experience in working with players in the U14 and older age groups – No distractions (cell phones, work, travel time)

How Can I Prepare? • Have a clear understanding of the process and expectations • Understand your preferred learning style • Have a clear understanding of the Principles of Play • Understanding the importance of and how to demonstrate for all learning styles • Understand and have experience working with players 14 years and older • Understand the importance of planning and the organization of your session 9

Mindset Models • How are mindsets defined? • Deeply ingrained generalizations, or even pictures or images, that influence how we understand the world and how we take action (Senge,1990)

MENTORSHIP
Mentorship • Design a mentorship plan – What is going to work for you – Incorporate how you learn into this plan
• Regular feedback • Work with different levels and genders in the above 14 age groups • Self-reflection: video your personal performance 30
Analyze the Game • Watch 11 v11 games where you have no emotion or ties to the outcome
• Select a section of the team – Centre Backs or Full Backs or Strikers
• Study their movement roles and how they have either an impact or no impact in the game • Start to formulate a session plan on how you can improve the performance of this one player or groups of players • Compare your notes and findings with a mentor 31
