How Satan Influences Our Lives From A to Z

CHAPTER ONE Arrogance self importance, overbearingly proud and haughty. Many of us today suffer with arrogance, not knowing how to treat our fellow man. Let me assure you arrogance will not go unpunished. “Isaiah 13:11 says, I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the tyrants.” We are warned to put away arrogance from ourselves and realize our talents were given to us by our Creator. Praise and honor belongs to him and him alone. “Proverbs 8:13 says, the fear of the Lord is to hate evil, pride, arrogancy, and the evil way and a perverse mouth.” So, take heed “1Samuel 2:3 says, talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.” Arrogance is not of God. Alienation condition of being an outsider. Have you ever felt this way? Well, as I have said many times over, the only alienation one should worry about is being alienated from their Creator. People oftentimes alienate themselves from others because of the way one looks, talk, behave, dress or their financial status. “Ephesians 4:18 says, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their hearts.” The most dangerous place to be in life is alienated from Jesus Christ. So what, if no one wants to be with you, we have been reconciled to Jesus because of what he did on the Cross. “Colossians 1:21 says, and you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now have he reconciled.”

Others may cast you to the side and totally treat you indifferent, but Jesus will never leave or forsake you. What a friend you have in Jesus. Affliction pain, suffering and distress. No matter what the enemy throws at you, cancer, heart disease, arthritis and many more discomforts just to name a few, our Heavenly father has the final say. Apostle Paul talked about the afflictions he endured, but was confident in the Lord to deliver him. “2Timothy 3:11 says, persecutions, afflictions which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra: what persecutions I endured: but out them all the Lord delivered me.” Just as he trusted, you should also trust Jesus in times of suffering. Paul understood that there would be afflictions and so should you. “1Thessalonians 3:3 says, that no man should be shaken by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.” Therefore, understand that our Lord will allow afflictions to come and beat upon us, but remember he can deliver. “Psalm 34:19 says, many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” So stop asking yourself, why me Lord? BusyBody one who meddles in the affairs of others. How many of us wish others would mine their own business and leave us alone. Oftentimes, we don’t have the courage to let our loved ones know to butt out. “1Timothy 5:13 says, and besides they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but gossips also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.” We must learn to keep our mouth from speaking forward things, which does not edify one another. A change in our character should become evident when we accept Jesus as our Lord.

“1Peter 4:15 says, but let none of you suffer as a murderer, thief, an evildoer or as a busybody in other men matters.” Keep your mouth shut and only speak words which edifies another.

CHAPTER TWO Bitterness strong resentfulness, animosity-active hatred. This spirit will keep you from receiving your total blessings. It goes against our instruction to love one another. When you allow this spirit to take root in your heart, it will dry your bones. Our bones is what holds us together, but once they are dry, they become brittle and break. This my friend is what will happen to your spirit. “Acts 8:22-23 says, repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.” When the enemy can keep you in bitterness, he knows this goes against what our Lord has instructed you to do. “Ephesians 4:31 says, let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor and evil speaking, be put away from you, including all malice.” Choose love and live in victory. Betrayal give information to an enemy, disloyal and traitor. When someone you know betrays you in a personal matter, remember our Lord. “Mark 14:41 says, and he came the third time, and said unto them, sleep on now and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.” Just take a moment to reflect on how our Lord felt, but also look at how he responded. People in your life will betray you. However, no need to go about seeking revenge or allowing your blood pressure to rise. “Romans 12:19-20 says, dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him, if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing we shall heap coals of fire on his head.” Do not seek revenge. 4

BackBiting slandering the character or reputation of another not present. The easiest way to break this awful habit is to refrain your tongue from speaking evil against another. When Jesus instructed us to love one another, it did not include backbiting. Most people today are guilty of this ugly habit and fail to correct themselves. Their lack of knowledge or out right defiance of the holy scriptures is the reason. Apostle Paul pleaded with the Corinthians to stop with backbitings. “2Corinthians 12:20 says, for I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults.” You should be very careful with your spoken words against others. Words have power to heal or hurt. “Proverbs 18:21 says, Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Watch your mouth. Condemnation guilt, judgment, disapproval and criticism. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, the enemy tries very hard to convince us we are not saved. There are times we yield to temptation in certain areas of our lives, but forgiveness is always available to those who repent. “John 3:17 says, for God sent not his Son in the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” I say, repent and don’t let condemnation rule your life. Therefore, before Jesus returns to accept his bride, let us cleanse ourselves from all unrighteousness. Those who condemns others, will find themselves being condemned. So, walk in love and remember, “Romans 8:1 says, there is now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Jesus is everlasting life and his word is true.

CHAPTER THREE Conflict struggle, battle and clashing. Have you ever felt a tugging in your spirit to give your heart to the Lord? Since the fall of man the battle between good and evil started. Everyday the struggle continues to keep us from obeying the infallible word of God. Listening to Satan’s lies, keeps conflict residing within us. Jesus died so that conflict would not have dominion over our lives. “John 8:32 says, and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Obedience to the gospels can and will eliminate any conflict in our lives. Apostle Paul wanted the people to know, he had conflict regarding their obedience to the truth. “Colossians 2:1-2 says, for I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; that their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ.” Our burdens belongs to the Lord. So, let him take over yours. Confusion mental and emotional disturbances, disorder and jumble. Many today live their lives in a state of confusion. We rather believe a lie than to change. Clarity of your mind is not on Satan’s agenda for you. As long as, he can keep you in confusion about our Lord and what he requires, he will prevail over your life. Our Lord, made it perfectly clear in the Word, what is expected of us as his dear children. Let me tell you about a time, when confusion tore a city apart. There was a silversmith named Demetrius, he made silver shrines of goddess Diana and made great wealth in doing so.

He called together workmen of the same occupation, and said, Sirs, you know that by this craft we have our wealth, but almost throughout all Asia, Paul have persuaded and turned away much people, saying that there be no gods, which are made with hands. Our craft is in danger and the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worship. When they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath and the whole city was filled with confusion. Read “Acts 19:24-29” for this story. However, all it takes is the error of not knowing who you are in Christ and the enemy will run the race to defeat you. “1Corinthians 14:33 says, for God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” If you’re confused about who you should serve, Jesus is not at fault. Discord lack of agreement among persons and groups. Jesus labored to bring love into this world. We, on the other hand, because of selfishness, seem to enjoy the fruits of discord. The enemy opposed our Lord through evil men and still today this spirit of opposition controls many. As long as, the spirit of selfishness governs our lives, we will miss the chance to truly love as Jesus commanded. It’s good to lay aside opposing opinions and ensue peace. There are seven things, the Lord hates as “Proverbs 6:19 says, and he that sow discord among brethren.” See that your behavior brings peace into the lives of others. Discouragement loss of hope and disheartened. Have your dreams failed or you have lost hope? Are you aware that the enemy takes what you say and uses it against you? “Deuteronomy 1:21 says, behold, the Lord thy God have set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the Lord God of thy fathers have said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.” 7

Our trust, hope and faith should always be in the Lord. “Isaiah 42:4 says, he shall not fail nor be discouraged, until he have set judgment in the earth.” God gives us hope through his victory and he will never fail. Why will you?
