Message from the Chair of the Board of Trustees Dear Friends, Two simple words: Thank you! These are offered from the clients, staff, and members of the Board of Trustees of Cleveland Sight Center to acknowledge your gifts of volunteer service and philanthropic support to our agency over the past year. Yet, those words alone cannot begin to tell the full story of how you have made an impact on our clients. Your philanthropic support over Fiscal Year 2015 totaled $2,000,816 from 1,947 donors; the number of volunteers totaled 557, resulting in 17,733 volunteer hours and $409,100 in value to the agency. Those impressive numbers indicate to us that something great is happening at Cleveland Sight Center. You are responding to the needs of our clients and allowing us to provide quality experiences throughout the agency. Your generosity has allowed us to serve clients of all ages who are blind or have low vision. Starting with our infants in the Early Intervention Program, our Bright Futures preschoolers, and our teens in the Summer Youth Work Experience – you are helping us set the stage for growth and learning. For our adults who either find employment through us or with us at the CSC Call Center, learn Braille and mobility skills, or participate in our many Recreation programs – your gifts and service hours make a big impact. And, our most senior clients who are trying hard to hold on to their independence by learning how to cope with blindness or diminished eyesight – your involvement with us gives them hope, care, and comfort.
