Day 5 Nelson This morning make your way to Ste phen’s Bay to enjoy a Full Day Boating Excursion in the Abel Tasman National Park. This is a drive of approximately 40 m inutes. Your boat depa rts for the golden sand coastline of the Abel Tasman Nationa l Park. On this leisurely trip through the park you will e xperience some of the most magnificent coastline that New Zealand has to offer, where native bus h meets golden sands and crystal clear wa ters a re a play ground for birds, seals and dolphins. As you explore the coast your boat skipper will point out local seal colonies and secluded beach hideaways. Mountain Biking the Dun Mountain Trail: A classic mountain bike ride for experts or novices. Accessing the mountain by a short helicopter lift, the trip starts with a short alpine hike to the beginning of the Dun Mountain T rail; created from New Zealand’s first railway, built in the 1800’s for a mining venture. Twenty glorious downhill kilometres through native and exotic forest before finishing on a single track alongside the Maitai River.
