W e m ust follow behind the procession in an orderly, quiet and dignified m anner. Even sim ple conversation should be avoided. Also, unless our health dem ands, we are not to stay inside the Church, nor should we m ove ahead of the procession. At four stations we will pause to offer petitions for the living and the dead. The last petition will take place at the front entrance of our Church. After the petitions are concluded, the faithful will pass under the Epitafio, re-enter the Church and rem ain in Church until the conclusion of the service, at which tim e everyone should respectfully and quietly file by to receive the flower from the priest's hand. Please do keep in m ind that these flowers are not to be discarded but should be placed next to your hom e icons. Upon drying, you m ay burn them together with the previous year's palm s. RECEIVING THE PASC HAL LIGHT: The rite of the lighting of the Easter candle and passing it on to each other is a m ost m oving experience in the liturgical life of our Church. Since order in Church is param ount, we request that only the m em bers of the Parish Council com e up to receive the light from the priest. Then in an orderly fashion, they will pass it on to all the worshipers. Please cooperate!
