The Vocations Awareness Committee of Holy Spirit Church is pleased to present the 20th Annual Vocations Banquet with a catered buffet dinner, music and entertainment, on January 24, 2015. Social hour at 6:00 pm and dinner at 7:00 pm in Doyle Hall. To date the Vocations Awareness Committee has raised over $330,000 for seminarians and religious. The Holy Spirit’s Filipino Ministry will celebrate the Simbang Gabi on Monday, December 22 beginning with a Rosary at 5:30 pm, Mass at 6:00 pm and reception immediately following in Classrooms 1, 2 and 3. In the Philippines, the Simbang Gabi is better known as Misa de Gallo (Mass of the rooster). At the crack of dawn, fishermen, farmers and merchants join together at church for the early Masses (nine consecutive Masses) as preparation for the joyful celebration of Christmas.
