Ministry Notes Message from the President I greet you in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ, who is the Head of the Great Christian Church. We have been blessed to see the beginning of another Annual Convocation in the Southern District of The United Holy Church of America, Inc. where we are anticipating a tremendous move of God by the Holy Spirit as we lift the Name of Jesus Christ in each service. Surely The Lord has been good to each of us and we owe Him all the praise. Sometimes we don't realize why things happen in our lives, or why it had to be at a particular time, but we must know that we serve a loving God who knows exactly what He is doing at all times concerning us. "God's Plan is Right and Good." These words speak to our Convocational Theme. A determining fact in dealing with our situations is based on how much we really know, trust and love The Lord. Scripture tells us " But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. (Job23:10)" So since He knows, we must stand back and let Him have His way concerning us. I want to welcome each of you to this 120th Annual Convocation and experience the freedom that God intended for your spiritual edification. Each workshop, service of devotion, message and opportunity of giving is designed to afford you a time in the presence of The King to receive a blessing of encouragement and renewal of your spiritual life. We anticipate recording each service on CD and DVD for your convenience, so get a copy so you may relive each service and share the same with your family and fellow saints. We will have some refreshments available for your comfort as well. It is our desire to make this a special time for the Body of Christ to be together as we prepare for that great day of the gathering of the saints. If there is anything that we may do to enhance your time with us, please inform any member of my Administration and we will do our very best to accommodate you. 120th Southern District Holy Convocation Special Notes: Forms by Districts will be available at the Receptionist Desk to submit the names of your church(s) deceased members since last Convocation. These are to be completed and turned in to Elder Magnolia Walker of the Obituary Committee by or before Thursday, September 25, 2014. Any minister who has missed one or more years renewing their fellowship card should report to the Board of Elders. Persons receiving new license/fellowship card will need to follow the instructions of the Board of Presbytery. The Business Office/Receiving Room personnel will not accept applications without a written consent/documentation from the Board of Presbytery. All persons that go before the Board of Presbytery must be present on Saturday, September 27, 2014 during the Business Session to hear the report from the Board of Elders and Board of Presbytery. The Attire for 3rd, 4th Sunday mornings and Communion for all Pastors and Ministers is as follows: A. Bishops: Full Vestments B. Board of Elders, Board of Presbytery: Civic Attire (round clergy collar) C. Pastors and Elders: Civic Attire (tab clergy collar) D. Apprentice Ministers should NOT wear the clergy attire at ANY time. E. During services all Pastors are asked to be seated in the designated area of the sanctuary. Attire for Official Day is Civic Attire (round and tab clergy collar) All Board Members, District Elders, Officers and Pastors are asked to be present for the Presidents Annual Report on Tuesday Afternoon, September 23, 2014 at 2pm. All Pastors are asked to sing at this service. All Delegates are asked to wear White for Holy Communion, Monday morning and Mission Day, Wednesday.
