HNA Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2013

HNA's Tree of Responsibility

“All things howsoever they flourish will return to the root from which they grew. Only when the root is firm can a tree grow luxuriantly.”

Lao Tzu — Tao Te Ching

HNA believes in fulfilling its commitment to social responsibility. Firmly rooting itself in traditional Chinese culture, the HNA Group has positioned itself as a main actor in working for people’s well-being. The value chain of "smooth trips and logistics which connect the whole world" is the trunk of the tree that supports the different branches of HNA’s social responsibility endeavors. HNA shares the benefits of fulfilling its social responsibilities, and it shares its development outcomes with all relevant parties and society. When fulfilling its social responsibilities, HNA gives priority to the sharing of public interests, and its decision-making is guided by people’s well-being. This is the fruit of HNA’s tree of responsibility. By systematically elaborating on the philosophy, principle and benefits of HNA’s fulfillment of its social responsibilities, this report shows how HNA is seeking to improve the well-being of people around the world, what achievements it has made and how it seeks to uphold the highest ethical values in all it does.
