Electroless nickel plated and polished cylinder for corrosion resistance and minimal friction Peculiarly designed piston seals consisting of a teflon U ring with a special elastomer centred into its sealing face, squeezed against the cylinder tube by an underlying O-ring: the combination of the three elements gives an effective seal, both with low and high oil pressure, with low friction and high sensitivity assuring long service life and preventing sticking problems Hard chromium plated and polished piston rod in stainless steel for corrosion resistance and minimum friction. Piston rod supported by bushing made of bronze with sintered TEFLON to provide minimal friction and extended service life Stroke adjustment with mechanical travel stop in one direction. HLA/HLAS Hydraulic Actuator Biffi can provide a complete range of double acting and spring-return hydraulic linear actuators “HLA” and "HLAS". These actuators can use the same cylinders . The spring module can be mounted direct for "spring to close" action or reversed for "spring to open" action. Due to the large range of combinations "thrust-stroke" required for the various applications (i.e. gate valve low pressure / high pressure, globe valve low pressure / high pressure, spring action), please contact the Factory in order to obtain the right actuator design for your application.
