Material shrinkage, quality drop-off, electrostatic charge – accompanied by machine stoppages or high wastage – are indications of insufficient air humidity. Especially in winter, heating and dry outside air tend to lower interior humidity to a worrying level. A FINESTFOG air humidification system keeps air humidity constant at about 50% relative humidity. Electrostatic charge is dissipated. Hygroscopic materials such as wood, paper and textiles can be processed more easily and precisely.

The FINESTFOG single-medium nozzle is the heart of every ­F INESTFOG system. Crafted from high-quality stainless steel and hand finished, each nozzle is engraved to identify it as designed and produced exclusively by FINESTFOG. Nozzles in four sizes can be matched to meet the required humidification performance, ­allowing the system in the humidification chamber to be precisely tailored. The short humidification section keeps the proportion of condensate low – a secondary evaporator is not required; but a drop separator has to be provided.

The system is sparing in the use of water and its low power ­consumption protects the environment. In one hour of continuous operation a FINESTFOG control unit pressurizes 100 to 800  l of water – at an energy consumption of 0.5 kW to a maximum of 3.5 kW.

Geprüfte Hygiene

FINESTFOG duct humidifiers work on the same principle. Highly purified ­water from the reverse osmosis system passes a UV sterilization unit after the pressure tank. High-pressure pipelines and nozzle holders are flushed ­periodically to avoid standing water over any length of time. Maintenance ­reminders and warning indicators round off the safety concept. FINESTFOG duct humidifiers are VDE- and CE-tested, they comply with the VDI 6022 standard and have been issued with a recognized hygiene certificate by the Gesellschaft für Bioanalytik Hamburg mbH (since 2004).

Luftbefeuchtungssystem:

FINESTFOG Hochdruck Luftbefeuchter mit 70 Düsen. Gesamtbefeuchtungsleistung ca. 220 Liter pro Stunde.

Prüfbedingungen:

Das o. g. Befeuchtungssystem wird unter Praxisbedingungen in Form einer Langzeitstudie von April 2004 bis heute getestet. Dabei werden von Mitarbeitern aus unserem Labor vor Ort jeweils 3 Wasserproben entnommen. Die Proben stammen von dem eingesetzten Trinkwasser, vom Wasser nach dem Wasserfilter und vom Befeuchterwasser nach der installierten UV-Entkeimung. Die Wasserproben werden auf die mikrobiologischen Parameter Koloniezahl bei 22°C und 36°C, auf Hefen und Schimmelpilze sowie auf Legionellen untersucht. Die FINESTFOG-Befeuchtungsanlage ist in einer Textilfabrik in Chemnitz fest installiert und arbeitet dort seit Dezember 2003.

Anforderungen:

Entsprechend der Empfehlung der Berufsgenossenschaft Energie Textil Elektro Medienerzeugnisse (BG ETEM) sollte der Richtwert von 1.000 KBE pro 1 ml Befeuchterwasser nicht erreicht werden. Legionellen sollten nicht nachweisbar sein. Das eingesetzte Trinkwasser sollte hinsichtlich der mikrobiologischen Parameter den Anforderungen der Trinkwasserverordnung entsprechen.

Prüfergebnis:

Der von uns getestete FINESTFOG Hochdruck Luftbefeuchter erfüllt die gestellten Anforderungen sehr gut. Die ermittelten Koloniezahlen bei 22°C und 36°C liegen ausnahmslos weit unterhalb der Grenzwerte. Legionellen, Hefen und Schimmelpilze konnten bei keinem der zahlreichen Tests nachgewiesen werden.

The FINESTFOG control unit can be customized for every application. The choice ranges from a PLC and display all the way to a Siemens SPS  S7  1200 with a colour Siemens Comfort touchscreen. The FINESTFOG control unit also has the capability to integrate a reverse osmosis system (below left). The ­F INESTFOG Premium  S7 (below right) communicates with the building m ­ anagement system and converts the input signal to a maximum 7-stage c­ ascade. Only high-end components are built into FINESTFOG controllers. The Comfort touchscreen gives an immediate overview of the operating state of the whole humidification system.
