SPEAKER BIOS KEYNOTE AARON KELLER Chief Financial Officer and Head of Operations Electron Capital Partners, LLC Aaron Keller is the Chief Financial Officer & Head of Operations/Chief Compliance Officer at Electron Capital Partners, a global long/short equity hedge fund launched in 2013. A CPA with over 14 years of experience in hedge fund accounting, Aaron's responsibilities at Electron include overseeing all operational aspects of the funds and management company, and maintaining relationships with counterparties and third party vendors. Prior to joining Electron, Aaron served as Chief Financial Officer/Chief Compliance Officer of Kingsbrook Partners, as well as the Controller of Intrepid Capital Management and Electron Capital Management*. Prior to shifting to the private sector, Aaron was a Senior Associate at Rothstein Kass, with a focus in hedge fund accounting. Aaron received his BS in Accounting from the Sy Syms School of Business in 2001 and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. *As part of a joint services arrangement with Intrepid Capital Management

PANEL 1 | LEGAL – GETTING IT RIGHT FROM THE START AMY WILSON (moderator) Global Head of Business Development Bloomberg Vault Amy Wilson is the Global Head of Business Development for Bloomberg Vault, with over 14 years of experience in business development and go-to-market strategy in the financial and legal technology industries. Amy has been building relationships with senior technology and compliance executives since 2006 to help them solve the data management challenges that continue to increase in the evolving regulatory environment. Amy was part of the original team that launched Bloomberg Vault, a hosted enterprise solution that includes surveillance, eDiscovery, trade reconstruction, and archiving of employee communication data. Prior to Bloomberg Vault, Amy managed business development during the launch of Bloomberg Law, a legal research and current awareness solution, which is now a component of Bloomberg BNA. Amy has her MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management, and a B.A. in Economics and English and minor in Dance from Bucknell University. JASON GRUNFELD Partner Kleinberg, Kaplan, Wolff & Cohen P.C. Jason Grunfeld is the Head of Business Development for Kleinberg Kaplan. Jason focuses his practice on the financial services industry. He advises private investment funds as well as registered and unregistered investment advisers on regulatory and strategic issues related to their formation, structure and operation. Jason structures agreements among the principals of management companies; he also helps the firm's clients develop marketing agreements and investor presentations and advises them on general securities matters. Jason also drafts and negotiates seed deals and strategic investments as well as side letters. In addition, Jason deals with employment issues including drafting employment agreements and termination/separation agreements for executives, both within the financial services area as well as in other sectors. Jason was recognized in the 2015 edition of Who’s Who Legal in the “Private Funds” category.

CHRIS RICCARDI Partner Seward & Kissel LLP Christopher Riccardi is a partner in Seward & Kissel’s Investment Management Group. Christopher works with managers of various private investment funds, including private equity funds, hedge funds, and various "hybrid" funds. Christopher has substantial experience in organizing both domestic and offshore funds, and separately managed accounts. Christopher also represents managers in connection with seed-capital investments. Christopher regularly counsels managers on regulatory and compliance matters, including the development of comprehensive compliance programs and in connection with applicable regulatory examinations. On the transaction side, Christopher represents his clients in connection with their investment activities, including private equity transactions, joint ventures and PIPE transactions. Christopher received a B.S. from the United States Military Academy (West Point), an M.B.A. from Chaminade University and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. Christopher was recognized as a 2014 New York Metro Super Lawyer. SHELLEY ROSENSWEIG Partner Haynes and Boone LLP Shelley Rosensweig is a partner in the Investment Funds and Private Equity Practice Group in the New York office of Haynes and Boone, LLP. She structures and organizes domestic and offshore private investment funds. She advises clients regarding matters which include design, structure and operation of investment portfolios, distribution and marketing issues and commodities and futures issues. Shelley also assists clients with seed investments, the formation of managed account platforms and the organization of joint ventures. She advises investment advisory clients regarding investment products and services, SEC, FINRA and CFTC regulatory and compliance matters, as well as trading issues and employment matters.

He joined the firm in 2008 where he previously held roles in sales management. Prior to Bloomberg, Josh served as Head of Business Development at Axiom Investment Advisors LLC. Before that he held several roles at Cantor Fitzgerald, including VP of Business Development for eSpeed (acquired by Nasdaq in 2013). Josh has an undergraduate degree in Economics from Yeshiva University and an MBA from New York University.

ADAM MENKES Director, Prime Brokerage Credit Suisse Adam Menkes is a Director at Credit Suisse Prime Brokerage and an 18-year veteran of the financial industry. Adam has spent the past 8 years in Prime Brokerage consulting, helping hundreds of different hedge funds launch, grow, and improve their business practices. Prior to joining Prime Brokerage, Menkes was the Director of Technology Consulting and Project Management for Eze Castle Integration, where he personally managed over 100 startup and relocation projects, and oversaw a staff of 6 project managers and coordinators with an additional 100 projects. Adam spent the first six years of his career building and supporting trading floors for hedge funds and broker dealers in over 20 locations throughout the US. Adam holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University at Albany – SUNY. PENN MILLER-JONES Head of Prime Brokerage Sales Cowen Prime Services Penn Miller-Jones is the Head of Prime Brokerage Sales at Cowen Prime Services. He joined the firm in May of this year after spending 9 years building the Prime Brokerage business at Jefferies LLC. Prior to Jefferies, Penn was a Managing Director at Montgomery/Banc of America Securities, working in Prime Brokerage sales for 10 years. He began his Prime Brokerage career at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette’s Pershing Division in 1992. Throughout his career Penn has focused on start-ups and emerging hedge fund managers. PETER TARRANT Managing Director, Head of Business Development BTIG Peter Tarrant leads BTIG's business development efforts. Responsible for marketing and sales across the firm's various divisions, he works to identify potential clients and cultivate new business opportunities. Peter joined the firm in 2002 via BTIG predecessor firm Baypoint Trading. Peter began his career in 1994 as an Associate in the Private Client Services/Corporate Services group at Montgomery Securities, which was later acquired by Banc of America Securities. During his twelve years with the firm, Peter held a series of senior positions in the Equity Trading division.

AFTERNOON SPEAKER GARY BERGER Partner, Audit KPMG Gary Berger is a partner at KPMG heading up the Emerging Manager platform. Based in the Firm’s New York office, he is extensively involved in the Firm’s Financial Services practice and has over 25 years of experience serving domestic and offshore hedge funds, private equity funds and fund of funds. He provides advice on fund startup issues including organizational structure, economic and tax issues and general business consultation. Gary’s experience includes serving as a senior vice president at a large global administrator. Gary is a frequent speaker at financial services conferences and seminars. He has presented on numerous topics including convergence of private equity and hedge funds, how to launch a hedge fund, valuation and fair value of investment portfolios, organizational and tax issues associated with investment partnerships, and accounting and technical issues for investment partnerships. Gary received a Master of Science degree in taxation from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

PANEL 3 | FUND ADMINISTRATION & FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT MICHELLE NOYES (moderator) COO AIMA New York Michelle Noyes joined AIMA in 2012 as Chief Operating Officer of AIMA's New York office. Previously, she was Head of International Sales and Investor Relations for BRZ Investimentos, one of the largest independent asset managers in Brazil. While in Sao Paulo, she also served as the Brazil representative for AIMA and established the AIMA Brazil network. Michelle began her career in hedge funds as General Manager for a global conference organizer, where she launched and managed a portfolio of successful asset management and investment events. Michelle holds a B.A. and M.A. from New York University and is a CAIA Charterholder. NATE GOODMAN Director of Sales & Marketing Citco Fund Services Nate Goodman joined Citco Fund Services in 2014 as the Director of Sales & Marketing, responsible for business development across global hedge, private equity and fund of fund managers. Prior to joining Citco, Mr. Goodman served as Director of Business Development at SS&C Technologies, created the institutional arm of OptionsXpress focusing on hedge overlay strategies, and raised assets for Okumus Capital. Nate received his BS in Political Science from SUNY Albany.

EAMONN GREAVES Head of Alternative Industry Assets Sales SS&C Technologies Inc. Eamonn Greaves joined SS&C GlobeOp in July of 2001. Greaves is currently the head of business development, based at the company’s New York office. Previously, Mr. Greaves held various executive positions over his tenure at SS&C GlobeOp, including global responsibilities for fund accounting and operations. Prior to joining SS&C GlobeOp, Greaves worked at State Street Corporation, where he managed the operations and fund accounting groups responsible for various high profile mutual fund client products. Mr. Greaves holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. PETER HUGHES Chairman and Founder Apex Fund Services Peter founded Apex over a decade ago in September 2003; his vision was to create a company that provides a full range of fund services enabling managers to grow and run their businesses more effectively and efficiently. Under his leadership Apex Fund Services has grown rapidly and today has assets under administration of c.$40 billion with 36 offices in 26 countries. CHRISTINE WALDRON Global Head of Alternatives and Executive Vice President U.S. Bancorp Ms. Waldron serves as Global Head of U.S. Bancorp Fund Services’ Alternative Investment Solutions division. The Alternative Investment Products division specializes in the unique servicing needs of alternative or private investment products such as hedge funds, offshore funds, and distressed assets. Prior to joining U.S. Bancorp Fund Services, Ms. Waldron worked in the assurance practice of KPMG LLP focused on investment management and insurance companies. Ms. Waldron began her career with a small hedge fund manager overseeing their back and middle office operations. She has 20 years of experience in the industry and 15 years with U.S. Bancorp Fund Services. Ms. Waldron received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Marquette University.

PANEL 4 | TECHNOLOGY – MEETING INVESTORS IT & SECURITY EXPECTATIONS DAN MATTHIES (moderator) Global Head of AIM Sales Bloomberg LP Dan Matthies is the global head of Bloomberg’s Asset & Investment Management (AIM) division. In that capacity, Matthies oversees the division's product development, sales and client service. AIM is an enterprise trading, compliance and operations platform that serves the investment management community. AIM is part of Bloomberg Professional Services which is the world’s most trusted source for trade execution, real-time and historical pricing, indicative data, reporting, research, estimates and analytics. Matthies holds a B.S. from Trenton State College and an executive M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst. JOHN BRYANT CTO Options IT John Bryant was named Options CTO in November 2012 having first joined the company in mid-2008 as Head of Technology for Europe, where he oversaw the development of the European Momentum and Velocity low-latency market data product portfolios in addition to managing the company’s European data centre expansion program. John was also responsible for developing a coordinated response to market developments including exchange/MTF platform migrations to multicast-oriented delivery, specifically for LSE Millennium and NYSE Euronext UTP. John has a wealth of experience in capital markets technologies including trading, market data, data applications and straight-through processing. He holds a joint bachelor’s degree in French and Spanish from Liverpool University, holds a certification from the ITIL Foundation, and is a Prince II Practitioner. DANTE DEWITT Managing Director, Global Technology Gravitas Dante DeWitt oversees all technology with a focus on The Gravitas Platform, including The Gravitas Private Cloud. Dante is responsible for developing and deploying the application and infrastructure for all clients. He brings over 25 years of industry experience, having previously served as CIO at BMO Harris, where he was responsible for managing 2,100 total staff across 7 states in the US and in Canada. Recognized as an industry leader for building innovative technology solutions and platforms, Dante has delivered transformational programs and projects for several Fortune 500 financial leaders including BMO, Wells Fargo, Barclays Global Investors, Bank of America and JPMorgan, as well as a couple mid-sized public and private investment banks. Dante has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from The University of California, Santa Cruz.

WILLIAM MCGEE Managing Partner SoundView IT SoundView IT Solutions co-founder Bill McGee brings a wealth of IT experience to his current role – ranging from managing private school systems to exclusive hedge fund tech support. Prior to co-founding SoundView IT solutions in 2009, Bill was Senior Vice President and Manager of Support Services for Pequot Capital Management, a Connecticut-based hedge fund. Earlier in his career, Bill held roles as a Lead Security Analyst for IBM’s Electronic Technologies Corporation (ETC), where he oversaw access control systems for all US-based IBM offices and at HedgeWare, where he supported IT Infrastructure and client implementation and upgrades. Bill started his career as a technologist for Chappaqua Central Schools and also supported Peppers & Rogers group, a Connecticut-based marketing firm. VINOD PAUL Managing Director Eze Castle Integration Leading a talented team of customer service and engineering professionals, Vinod Paul oversees all customerfacing engagements for Eze Castle Integration. Vinod joined the company in 2002, and his responsibilities include service delivery and business development for the firm. Previously, Vinod was the director of technical services for Martin Progressive, supervising a staff that supported 6,000 customers. Prior to that, he provided project management and engineering consulting services to IBM Global Services, Lucent Technologies, Tyco Submarine Systems, and Penguin Putnam Publishing. Vinod is a member of the Global Board of Directors for Hedge Funds Care and founder of the New York Hedge Fund Technologists Group. Vinod is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences. He also holds numerous advanced certifications with Microsoft.

PANEL 5 | RAISING CAPITAL – ATTRACTING EARLY STAGE INVESTORS KATHERINE BURTON (moderator) Hedge Funds Reporter Bloomberg News Katherine Burton has covered hedge funds for Bloomberg News for more than a decade. Before joining Bloomberg in 1993, she lived in Paris, where she wrote for the International Herald Tribune, U.S. News & World Report and Bloomberg. Burton received a Bachelor of Arts in French from Drew University and a Masters in Business Administration from New York University. The winner of numerous business journalism awards, she is also the author of Hedge Hunters, interviews with 17 Hedge Fund managers.

BRYAN BORGIA Co-Head and Managing Director Topwater Capital Partners, LLC Bryan D. Borgia is Managing Director and Co-Head of Topwater Capital a division of Leucadia Asset Management. Mr. Borgia co-founded Topwater Capital Partners, LLC in May 2002. Topwater Capital Partners, LLC and was acquired by Leucadia Asset Management, a division of Leucadia National Corporation in July 2013. Mr. Borgia is principally responsible for selecting account advisers for the Topwater first-loss private investment funds. Mr. Borgia graduated in 1998 from Middlebury College with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. LOREN KATZOVITZ Managing Partner Deimos Asset Management Loren M. Katzovitz is a Managing Partner of Deimos and is a member of the Investment and Risk Committees. Deimos was formed through a management buyout of GGT, the former multi-manager, multi-strategy hedge fund platform of Guggenheim Partners. Prior to Deimos, Mr. Katzovitz was a managing partner of Guggenheim Partners and Co-Head of GGT. He has over 25 years of financial services experience. Mr. Katzovitz joined Guggenheim Partners in 2002 and was its President and a Managing Partner until 2006. Mr. Katzovitz cofounded Guggenheim Advisors and Guggenheim Alternative Asset Management with Patrick Hughes in 2002 and served as its Chairman & CEO until 2011. During that time GA was sold to (2006) and repurchased from the Bank of Ireland (2009) by Guggenheim Partners. In 2011, Mr. Katzovitz transitioned from his role at GAAM to launch GGT with Mr. Hughes. Prior to joining Guggenheim, Mr. Katzovitz was the head of the alternative assets business of Royal Bank Canada (“RBC”) in New York where he was a member of RBC Capital Markets Executive Committee and U.S. Operating Committee. Mr. Katzovitz also co-headed RBC’s Global Equity Derivatives and Proprietary Trading business unit in which he managed nearly $5 billion of assets for RBC and high net worth investors. Prior to joining RBC, Mr. Katzovitz was a Managing Director of the Equity Derivatives group at Kidder Peabody and held various positions at Lehman Bros. and Bankers Trust. He holds a BS degree from the University of Southern California. WILLIAM MOODY Founder and Senior Managing Partner Moody Aldrich & Sullivan Bill is a founding partner of Moody Aldrich & Sullivan which was established in 1988 and later became Moody Aldrich Partners. Bill leads the firm's management team and business strategy and oversees the firm's investment activities, including its hedge fund seeding business. Bill is a founding partner of Harvest Funds Management where he is involved in all aspects of Harvest Fund's business strategy. Under Bill’s leadership, MAP developed a multi-strategy asset management platform which has acquired and nurtured several businesses around differentiated areas of investment expertise. He led the joint venture acquisition of the Pierre & Co. All Cap strategy and oversaw its development and $2 billion capital raise. The Pierre & Co. business unit, which was branded Moody Aldrich Focused Value, was sold to Anchor Capital in 2012. Previously, he was co-founder, President and Chief Investment Officer at Dewey Square Investors, a multi-billion dollar diverse strategy firm that was sold to United Asset Management. Formerly, he was Senior Vice President and Head of Institutional Investment Management at Bank Boston for fourteen years. Bill is a Chartered Financial Analyst and earned a B.S. in Economics from Syracuse University.

DON ROGERS Founder and Managing Partner Stride Capital Group Don is the Founder and Managing Partner of Stride Capital Group, bringing over 22 years of industry experience and early stage alternatives investing. Prior to forming Stride in 2009, Don was a partner and founding team member of SkyBridge Capital, which was formed to develop new hedge funds in exchange for revenue sharing. Don played a significant role in launching SkyBridge’s $330 million first fund and subsequent capital deployment to eight ownership investments in North America, Europe and Asia. Don has been an active investor in alternative investment partnerships since 1994 as a co-general partner and co-founder of Rogers Investment Partners LLC, a private investment entity created with a particular focus on investing in early stage and day one alternative managers. As CEO of CRA Business Strategies Group, Don led a team that advised both established and emerging asset management firms on effective management and business building. Don graduated with honors from Harvard College in 1992 and received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1999.
