Smooth 4” long 2” wide tapered. Start out yellow and ripen to red. Popular cooking pepper in Eastern Europe. Similar to Piquillo.
Heart shaped, thinner-walled fruits average 3-5 in. long and 2 ½ wide. Moderately pungent.
Anaheim avg. 6-7” x 2” semi-flattened shape. Wonderful roasted, peeled and diced for nachos, salsa verde and others.

Sweet. Mini-Sized 2 inch long yellow, orange and red bells. Great for salads, sautees and snacking.
Hot 3-4 inch fruits resistant to cracking in hot weather. High yields and great disease resistance. Wonderful for stuffing.
Extra Hot. Long thin horn-shaped fruit. Great producer and wonderful for pickling a dish.

Medium 2-3 inch long and heavily wrinkled. Thin walled. Picked when green, then sautéed in oil and served as tapas. Wonderful pepperoncini when pickled.

Sweet 3” heart shaped peppers from Spain. Also called “Little Beak” Roasted, peeled, de-seeded and stuffed. Served as tapas.

Hungarian heirloom is great producer of medium to very hot the longer it sits on vine. Yellow to red and sets fruit over season.
Black mildly hot fruit. Same size as a jalapeno. Beautiful ornamental with purple blossums.
Name means “embroidered. Long thin peppers. Range of heat. Dried in villages of Kalugeritsa & Zleovo.

Also known as “Ghost Pepper”. Worlds hottest peppers. 1 million scovilles. 4ft tall plants. Thin-walled, wrinkled, pointed fruits that ripen to red. (2-3”)
Peruvian hot pepper with lemony over tones. Glossy yellow 2” fruit rate between 30,000-50,000 Scoviilles and are popular in fish and ceviches.
5,000-15,000 Scovilles. This little round red pepper has moderate heat with sweet undertones. I love to pickle and can these for stuffing later with cheese and cured meats.

Spanish tapas pepper. Cook in oil in frying pan and add sea salt. Smokey flavor. 1 in 15 hot. Pick when small at 1-1.5” unless you want them hot.
Mild small jalapeno 1-2” long. Great yields.

Red hot peppers when ripe. Small, Thin, smooth, with wrinkled tip. Good eaten fresh of for canning.
This little oblate peppers start out white and darken to red. They are wonderful for cooking and stuffing. Seed from Zagreb.

Fresno
Poblano
This looks like a jalapeno but is hotter. Green is milder at 2,500 but red expect 10,000. Used a lot for salsas and ceviche.
3-6” heart-shaped fruits with gentle heat (2000). Fresh they are used for chile rellenos or roasted and diced for salsa. If left on vine will turn red-brown and when ground makes red chili powder.
