Antimicrobial Flooring Everlast Floor is made with an integral EPA-registered antimicrobial component to impede the growth of microorganisms, thus providing long term protection from a broad spectrum of bacteria, fungi, yeast, actinomycetes, and mildew. This protects your floor from germ and odor causing microorganisms – thus repelling objectionable odors. While some floor systems contain an antimicrobial dispersion in the sealer only, leaving the floor vulnerable from underneath or when gouged, we incorporate it throughout the epoxy flooring system.

“Inherently” Antimicrobial Flooring Claims

Some floors claim to be “inherently antimicrobial” and do not use any additives. Some compounds are inherently-antimicrobial, such as latex and silver, but epoxies, urethanes, and rubbers are not. Unless an antimicrobial dispersion is incorporated into the resin, these floors are not antimicrobial. At Everlast Epoxy Flooring we are committed to doing our part to promote healthy public facilities. Using an EPA-registered antimicrobial component is one of the many ways we contribute. Bacteria and other microbes exist just about anywhere. They can be carried in your facility from staff, customers, supplies and inventory. They can be blown in from an open door. They can be tracked in from the outside or from another room. They can be attached to insects that crawl in thru cracks and crevices. No amount of cleaning can insure that your facility will be microbe-free. Your floor has the highest exposure to microbes of any other part of your facility. With Everlast Epoxy Flooring, you can rest assured that your floor will be protected.

Everlast Floor will provide long-lasting protection from germs and odor causing microorganisms.

Easy to Clean Everlast Floor has a textured finish. It is made from small natural marble stones and quartz which give it texture. This makes it a slip-resistant floor. It is a resin-rich floor, meaning the stones are completely saturated in epoxy resin, which makes it non-porous and therefore easy to clean.

Cleaning Everlast Floor

Mop the floor using detergent and water. Dirt and grime are easily removed because the floor is non-porous. In foodservice, medical or restroom areas where the floor is exposed to chemicals we recommend daily washing, agitating with a deckbrush and rinsing.

Cleaning Floors with Added Non-Slip

Everlast Floor with non-slip grit is still completely non porous and cleanable. In some applications, such as in a commercial kitchen, an additional grit is added to the glaze coat giving it added slip resistance. Cleaning methods are different for these floors. We recommend using a deck brush to scrub the floor and removing excess water with a squeegee.

Never Scrub Your Floors Again! Cleaning Your Extra Non-Slip Everlast Floor is Simple. 1. First, remove excess water with a squeegee. 2. Sprinkle a coldwater degreaser over the floor (preferably one that is “environmentally friendly”), and then spread it around with a deck brush to ensure complete coverage. 3. Let it sit for the amount of time recommended by the cleaning solution manufacturer. Because of the properties of your Everlast Floor, dirt and grime will begin to “bead up”, making it easy to remove. 4. Using a deck brush, agitate the cleaner to dismember the dirt and grime from the floor. 5. Chase the now dirty cleaner off the floor with fresh water and a squeegee. This will ensure your floor will still look like new for years to come.

Every facility has its own special need for protecting its floors and walls. Porous or cracked concrete, eroded joints in tile, and/or open control joints all pose problems for facility supervisors while having to protect against mold, insects, and bacteria infestation hazards. Everlast Floor can solve these problems in a way that is also better for the environment.

Less Water Consumption

Everlast Floor is seamless and non-porous. There are no pores for dirt and grime to penetrate. Less water is consumed when cleaning.

Less Pesticides Needed

Because Everlast Floor is seamless, there are no cracks or crevices for insects to hide. Cleaning is also easier and more effective. This minimizes the insect population and less pesticides are needed.

No Solvents

Everlast Floor is made from natural stones and organic resins. Unlike most epoxy floors, Everlast Floor contains no solvents. No solvents means no evaporation and/or contamination, which makes Everlast Floor one of the most environmentally friendly floors in the industry.

Less Waste During Installation

Very little waste is generated during the installation of Everlast Epoxy Flooring. This is not true of most other flooring. For most tile installations, there are usually a few wheelbarrow loads of leftover scrap pieces. Sheet PVC and rubber flooring installations leave an enormous amount of waste. This just sits in our landfills. Everlast Epoxy Floors are installed one bucket at a time. The waste on an Everlast Epoxy Floor project will consist of the leftover bucket at the end of each phase of the job. Usually the non-recyclable portion of the waste is less than 50 pounds. Everlast Epoxy Floor comes in plastic recyclable buckets and cardboard boxes.

Recycled Glass Epoxy Flooring Everlast Epoxy Eco Floor is the environmentally friendly solution for your facility. Everlast Epoxy Eco Floor is made from recycled glass bottles. A recycled content certificate can be provided for any LEED project. When you install Everlast Eco Epoxy Floor in your facility, you are doing your part to keep glass bottles out of our nations landfills, as well as keep from using up natural resources.

Durable Flooring

Everlast Eco Epoxy Floor has the same properties as Everlast Floor. The only difference in the formulation is it has recycled glass bottle chips in place of the natural marble chips. The resin is identical so you will have the same healthy, durable and attractive floor as if you used Everlast Floor. The only thing missing would be the guilt from using natural marble resources. It can be installed by one of our certified dealers, or by a motivated Do-It-Yourselfer. It is installed the same way as Everlast Floor.

Attractive Flooring

Your customers will have an excellent first impression of your facility. It will have clean, fresh, and modern appearance that will be easy to clean.

Pest management companies will tell you there are 4 steps to controlling insects. Your choice of flooring plays a significant role in preventing insect problems.

1. Stop Them From Entering

Everlast Floor is seamless and non-porous. The cove base is a continuous part of the floor. Door jambs, cooler walls, pipes and wires protruding out of the floor are all sealed off, while drains are completely sealed in. Insects will not be able to come in and out of these otherwise accessible areas, as they will all be sealed with epoxy.

2. Deny Them a Living Habitat

Because Everlast Floor is seamless, there are no grout joints or cracks and crevices for insects to hide. They cannot live in the walls or slab, nor do they come and go freely through the floor.

3. Starve Them

Everlast Floor is easy to clean, so there will be less leftover waste on the floor after cleaning. Keeping your facility clean is an extremely important defense against unwanted pests.

4. Kill Them

Because Everlast Floor is seamless and easy to clean, less pesticides are needed and they are more effective. There will be a significantly less insect problem and the ones that are there will be easier to kill. They can always run, but now they can’t hide.

Our flooring creates an inhospitable environment for pests.

Insect Protection

Moisture Protection Everlast Floor provides a seamless, waterproof, self-containing surface, which ensures that the water goes into the drains as it should, rather than damaging the walls and subfloor. Many epoxy floors claim to be waterproof. But unless they are a resin-rich poured floor, they are only “temporarily” waterproof. Too much aggregate needed for most quartz epoxy flooring leads to voids and are easily penetrated. Such systems, even when “top coated”, provide only temporary protection and will fail prematurely.

Wet Conditions

When a commercial kitchen, or any floor that is continually wet, is built on anything but ground floor, a completely waterproof floor must be used. Any extra expense spent on the floor will be minimal in comparison to the the cost of ceiling repair underneath, and continually repairing or replacing the floor entirely.

The Solution

Everlast Floor is not only waterproof, but because it also bonds to all the drains, electrical conduits, coke conduits, gas lines and plumbing pipes, moisture cannot get thru the floor to damage the facilities underneath.

Everlast Floor is seamless and non-porous, a true waterproof product.

Many epoxy floors contain solvents which emit harmful fumes while they are evaporating. These floors cannot be installed in a facility while it is occupied. Everlast Floor contains no solvents and has no objectionable odor. It can be installed in your facility while your customers and staff are present. It does not emit harmful vapors and has almost no smell.

Odorless Flooring for Life

Everlast Floor is formulated using an EPA registered antimicrobial additive to inhibit the growth of odor causing germs and bacteria. It is also non-porous, seamless and easy to clean. Bacteria often grows in the pores of many types of other flooring, as well as in the cracks and seams. Over time, this creates a very objectionable odor. This is why Everlast Floor is the best choice when food buildup is a possibility. With proper maintenance, your floor will be odorfree for life.

Seamless Everlast Floor is a monolithic, resin-rich, troweled-on system that forms a physical bond between the material and the surface it is being applied to and vulcanizes them together. The compound made is so tightly bonded together that corrosive materials cannot penetrate to begin the deterioration process. Everlast Floor is not adhered to the floor, rather it is the adhesive. Under stress conditions, the concrete will break instead of your epoxy floor’s bond.

“Bath Effect”

Everlast Floor is not only seamless itself, but it also bonds to all the drains, electrical conduits, coke conduits, gas lines, plumbing lines and anything else protruding out of the floor. This keeps the water contained and creates a bath effect. Some floors are too large to be installed in one day. This is why Everlast Floor is formulated with an epoxy chemistry that will weld to itself. Even though there may appear to be a seam, it is only visual. This is why Everlast Epoxy Floor is the #1 choice.

Everlast Floor is not adhered to the floor, rather it is the adhesive.

Everlast Floor has a textured finish. It is made with small natural marble stones. This textured finish creates a slip-resistant flooring. In some applications, such as in a commercial kitchen, an additional grit is added to the glaze coat giving it added slip resistance. Different applications require different levels of slip-resistance.

Dry Conditions

Everlast Floor has a texture from the marble chips. It has a coarse, pebbled, ribbed, but non-abrasive surface. In areas which will not be constantly wet, no additional grit is needed, as your floor will have non-slip properties from the natural texture of the stone.

Wet Conditions

When installing Everlast Floor in frequently wet areas, add our non-slip additive to the glaze coat to give the floor a sandpaper like finish. This gives excellent slip and fall protection, even under wet conditions.

Commercial Kitchens

Restaurant and foodservice floors are often coated in grease and oil, making them prone to slip and fall accidents. Our coarse/kitchen non-slip additive will give your kitchen epoxy flooring an extremely aggressive finish. With this extra texture, coupled with proper cleaning, even a greasy kitchen floor can maintain slip resistance.

Additiional grit can be added to ensure safe conditions in wet environments.

…and Everlast Floor

Everlast Floor has an established record of success where floors are subjected to severe exposures. The soaking of animal fats, grease, oil, many acids, alkali, sugar, blood, urine, and salt has no effect on its durability. With proper upkeep your floor can last a lifetime. Everlast Floor’s chemical resistance properties make it the best choice for many applications such as Veterinary Clinics, Foodservice Kitchens, Public Restrooms, Laboratories, Health Care Facilities and other commercial and institutional flooring applications subject to chemical exposure.

Extreme Temperature Everlast Floor is an excellent choice for a commercial restaurant kitchen with ovens, grills, and fryers, because it can absorb high temperatures. For a resinous floor to perform in high heat conditions, it must absorb and transfer the heat. Everlast Floor is a thick, troweled-on coating and can repeatedly withstand temperatures up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Many epoxy floors are applied by first painting the concrete, then broadcasting quartz sand into the resin. After curing it is painted again. This flooring resembles a cake in that there is not enough resin in the middle, only a thin layer on top. Hot grease and oil will then soften and penetrate this layer causing a “pitting” effect. Because Everlast Floor has solid resin all the way through, grease and oil will only lay on the surface and won’t penetrate your floor.

Withstands Low Temperatures

Everlast Floor is an excellent choice for freezers and coolers. Cold temperatures have no effect on its durability. Everlast Floor maintains its antimicrobial properties even in freezing temperatures.

Everlast Floor maintains its antimicrobial properties even in freezing temperatures.

When choosing a floor for a high traffic area, wear resistance is important. Many resinous floors are diluted with fillers and/or solvents, and oftentimes a wear path will begin to form. Inferior quality flooring cannot take the abuse of constant traffic coupled with harsh elements. Daily foot traffic eats at the substance of most floorings, which is why “wear patterns” are visible. Everlast Floor provides a bonding and strength greater than the cohesive strength of concrete in tension and shear. The durability and abrasion resistance far surpasses that of dense concrete, therefore Everlast Floor will maintain its original beauty for years to come.

Inferior quality flooring cannot take the abuse like Everlast Floors can.

Long Lasting Most all new facilities start with a satisfactory floor. This soon changes once it is subjected to severe exposures. After 3-5 years, most floors in this industry have visible signs of deterioration. In many cases, water and bacteria is growing in the space between the floor and the substrate creating an unhealthy environment. Everlast Floor is a monolithic, custom-formulated, troweled-on system that forms a physical bond between the material and the surface it is being applied to and vulcanizes them together. The compound made is so tightly bonded together that corrosive materials cannot penetrate to begin the deterioration process. With proper maintenance, Everlast Floor will remain in a like brand-new condition for a lifetime.

Our floors form a physical bond between the material and the surface it is being applied to.

Everlast Floor can be installed in multiple sections using 2 or more different colors. A clean metal transition strip is used to separate the colors. You can have a border, a mat or multiple colors in each room. The possibilities are endless.
