HEALING IN THE LAST DAYS INTRODUCTION: We believe in the medical profession, the physicians, the nurses, the therapists, etc.. We admire their skills and the wonderful job that they do. I myself, was Healed of a heart condition through an angioplasty. (See the Timothy II Testimony Tract) In spite of the wonderful job that these professional people do, it is God that actually does the Healing. Today, there is much confusion in the churches about Healing. Such things as whether Healing is for today, is it for everybody, who can Heal, etc.? This Study Guide, through the use and confirmation of the Holy Scriptures, is intended to help clear up some of that confusion. It is also intended to release the "Body of Christ" from the enemy, from past bondage and/or the traditions of men; so that we may be free to use the Full Power of Healing as it is intended through Jesus Christ. As you read this Study Guide, please keep an open mind, and let God the Holy Spirit guide you into all the Truth about Healing! People in the world today are looking for answers about the miraculous from astrologers, guides, cults and religions. It is about time that the "Body of Christ" (the True Church), took on it’s responsibility that has been given to it, and begin to Fully preach the Gospel with Signs following. (Mark 16:17, 18, 20 Romans 15:19) I believe that when we pray for people to be Healed, God answers in four ways: He Heals immediately, He Heals progressively, He Heals through the medical profession, or the ultimate Healing which is through death. When praying for Healing, we need to pray in Faith believing for the best, and then release it to the Lord for Him to choose the results. This releases us from carrying any burdens, knowing that we did what we are called to do, and the rest is up to God. (Read about David in: 2 Samuel Chapter 12) In order to more fully understand in depth, the meaning of the Scriptures on Healing, we have included the meaning of the various words about sickness in the Greek. The numbered references are taken from the Strong’s Concordance. Our prayer is that after studying this Guide, many of you will step out in Faith, and let the Holy Spirit guide you into praying for and believing in Healing for the "Body of Christ". In our recent travels, we have been experiencing a tremendous outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and have been seeing many Miraculous Healings, which in turn leads to Evangelism and many souls being saved for the Lord Jesus Christ. We hope that you too are experiencing this tremendous outpouring of God the Holy Spirit as promised in Joel 2:28,29 & Acts 2:16-18 May God richly Bless you and encourage you as you read this Study Guide. Amen! Timothy II

FOREWORD: In order for Healing to take place, unless of course God does so sovereignly, we need to “Believe” that it will take place. In order to “Believe”, we must first know what it means, and the difference between “Believe”, “Hope” and “Faith”. HOPE: The Dictionary says: The desire and expection of good / Anticipation. The Bible says: Elpis (1680) in the Greek: To anticipate, usually with pleasure / Expectation or confidence / Favorable and confident expectation / The happy anticipation of good. Scriptures: Rom 8:24-25 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Rom 15:4 4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Rom 15:13 13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Heb 10:23 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith (hope) without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) FAITH: The Dictionary says: Religious belief / A doctrine believed / Trust and confidence in another. The Bible says: Pistis (4102) in the Greek: Conviction of religious truth, or the truthfulness of God or a religious teacher / Constancy in such profession / A conviction based upon hearing / It is used in the New Testament always of faith in God or Christ, or things Spiritual. Scriptures: Heb 11:1 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

3

Rom 10:17 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 1 Cor 2:4-5 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. II Th 1:3 3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth; BELIEVE: The Dictionary says: To accept as true / To have faith in / Trust. The Bible says: Pisteuo (4100) in the Greek: To put our trust in / and to commit to that trust / To be persuaded of, and hence, to place confidence in / To trust, signifies, in this sense of the word, reliance upon, not mere credence. Scriptures: Matt 17:19-20 19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? 20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Mark 9:23-24 23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. 24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. Rom 3:3 3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? Amen!

HEALING IN THE LAST DAYS I. IS HEALING FOR TODAY? YES, THE PRICE HAS ALREADY BEEN PAID: Isa 53:4-5 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 1 Pet 2:24 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. We might say: We are healed with Jesus’s stripes and we were healed by His stripes. GOD’S PROMISE: Exod 15:26 26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

II. WHAT CAN BE HEALED? ALL MANNER OF SICKNESS AND ALL MANNER OF DISEASE: Matt 4:23 23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. In the Greek: Sickness is Nosos (3554) meaning: disability, infirmity, disease, sickness. Disease is Malakia (3119) meaning: softness, debility, disease, enervation.

5

We might say: Jesus went about healing all manner of disabilities, infirmities, disease, and sicknesses, and all manner of softness, debilities, disease, and enervations (weakened physically).

III. WHO ARE THE SICK? THE SICK INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Matt 4:24 24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. In the Greek: Sick is Echo (2192) meaning: possession, hold, condition. Sick is also Kakos (2560) meaning: disease, evil, grievous, miserable, sick, sore. We might say: They brought to Jesus all people that had a possession, hold, or condition of disease, evil, grievous, miserable, sick or sore. In the Greek: Diseases is Nosos (3554) meaning: disability, infirmity, disease, sickness. Torments is Basanos (931) meaning: going to the bottom, torture, torment. Possessed with devils is Diamonizomal (1139) meaning: to be vexed with, be possessed with devils, to be exercised by a demon. Lunatick is Seleniazomal (4583) meaning: to be moonstruck, crazy, lunatick. Palsy is Paralutikos (3885) meaning: paralytic, sick of the palsy, as if dissolved. We might say: Those that were taken with different disabilities, infirmities, diseases, sicknesses; and who were going to the bottom, tortured, and tormented; and those that were vexed with or possesed with devils, or exercised by demons; and those that were moonstruck, crazy, or lunatick; and those that were paralytic, sick of the palsy, or as dissolved; and He healed them all. *Note: Those possessed with demons need to be healed through a deliverance. (See the Study Guide on Demons) Those with diseases, torments, lunatick, and palsy need to be healed through prayer!

IV. WHAT POWER IS NEEDED TO HEAL? THE POWER OF THE LORD: Luke 5:17 17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.

V. IS THIS POWER TO HEAL GIVEN TO US? YES - THE POWER WAS FIRST GIVEN TO THE TWELVE DISCIPLES: Mark 3:14-15 14 And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, 15 And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils: Luke 9:1 1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. Matt 10:1 1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. THEN THE POWER WAS GIVEN TO THE SEVENTY: Luke 10:1 1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Luke 10:9 9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. NOW THE POWER HAS BEEN GIVEN TO ALL BELIEVERS: Mark 16:17-18 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Luke 10:19 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

7

VI. HAS JESUS COMMISSIONED AND COMMANDED US TO HEAL? YES - JESUS HAS SENT US TO DO HIS WORK: Matt 10:7-8 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. Luke 9:2 2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. Luke 9:6 6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where. John 14:12-14 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

VII. THE VARIOUS METHODS USED FOR HEALING IN THE BIBLE! WITH MUD: John 9:6-7 6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. IN THE NAME OF JESUS: Acts 3:6-7 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. 7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ancle bones received strength.

8

WITH THE HANDS: Acts 4:30 30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. Mark 1:41 41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. BY HIS TOUCH: Mark 7:33 33 And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue; BY THEIR TOUCH: Mark 6:56 56 And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole. BY THE LAYING ON OF HANDS: Mark 16:18 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Luke 4:40 40 Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. Luke 13:13 13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. Acts 28:8-9 8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him. 9 So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:

9

LAYING HANDS ON TWICE: Mark 8:23-25 23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. 24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. 25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly. BY FAITH: Mark 5:34 34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. Mark 10:52 52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. Luke 18:42 42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee. Acts 14:9-10 9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, 10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. Mark 2:3 3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. Mark 2:5 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. Mark 2:9-12 9 Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? 10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) 11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. 12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion. BY PRAYER: James 5:15 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. James 5:16 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

10

BY THE ANOINTING: Luke 4:18 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Acts 10:38 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. BY ANOINTING WIH OIL: Mark 6:13 13 And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them. James 5:14 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: WITH THE EYES: Acts 3:4 4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. Acts 14:9 9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, BY SPEAKING: Matt 8:8 8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. Matt 8:13 13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour. Acts 14:10 10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. BY REBUKING THE ILLNESS: Luke 4:39 39 And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.

11

BY SPECIAL METHODS: Acts 5:15 15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. Acts 19:11-12 11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: 12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them. The Results: Acts 8:6-7 6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.

VIII. CAN AIDS BE HEALED? YES - JUST LIKE ANY OTHER ILLNESS: Matt 8:2-3 2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Luke 7:21 21 And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.

IX. HOW TO RECEIVE THE GIFTS OF HEALING! ARE THERE GIFTS OF HEALING? YES! 1 Cor 12:4 4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 1 Cor 12:7 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

12

WHO GIVES THEM? 1 Cor 12:8-9 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 1 Cor 12:11 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. DO WE ALL HAVE THEM? NO! 1 Cor 12:28-30 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? 30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? WHAT SHOULD WE DO ABOUT IT? 1 Cor 12:31 31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: 1 Cor 14:1 1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, WHAT FOR? 1 Cor 14:12 12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. HOW DO WE GET THEM? ASK! Luke 11:13 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? *Note: Although all believers are to pray for people to be healed, some have the ‘Gifts of Healing’ and should be involved in the healing ministry of the Church. If you want it, just ask!

13

X. THE ROLE OF THE CHURCH: SHOULD THE CHURCH PRAY FOR HEALING? YES! James 5:13 13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. In the Greek: Afflicted is Kakopatheo (2553) meaning: undergo hardship, to be afflicted, to endure afflictions (hardness), suffer trouble. James 5:14 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: In the Greek: Sick is Astheneo (770) meaning: to be feeble (in any sense), to be diseased, impotent, to be sick, to be or be made weak. We might say: Is any among you undergoing hardship, or afflicted, or enduring afflictions, or suffering trouble? Is any among you feeble, diseased, impotent, sick, or weak? Then call for the elders of the Church; and let them pray over you, anointing you with oil in the Name of the Lord: *Note: The anointing with oil by the Elders of the Church is for all illnesses, sufferings and afflictions. The Results will be: James 5:15 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. In the Greek: Sick is Kamno (2577) meaning: to toil, to tire, faint, to be sick, to be wearied. We might say: And the prayer of faith shall save those that are toiling, those that are tired, those that are faint, those that are sick, and those that are weary. Therefore: James 5:16 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

14

XI. BRINGING THE KINGDOM OF GOD! CAN WE ACTUALLY BRING THE KINGDOM OF GOD TO PEOPLE? YES! We actually bring the Kingdom of God to the people when we pray for Healing and deliver people from Demons. Matt 12:28 28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. Luke 9:2 2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. Luke 9:11 11 And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing. Luke 10:9 9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. Luke 11:20 20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. 1 Cor 4:20 20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

PRE-CONCLUSION: In this Pre-Conclusion there is a Warning to the people that receive Healing. The Warning is that since you have received Healing by the Grace of God, you should Sin no more, or else you may lose that Healing and be worse off then you were! WARNINGS: John 5:14 14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. Another Warning is that few people will be Healed when there is an attitude of unbelief; this is especially true within our own families, friends and community! Mark 6:4-6 4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. 5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. 6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief.

15

CONCLUSION: In this time of endless rhetoric, people are tired of hearing the Word of God preached without any Power or without Signs following. The following Scriptures confirm that in these last days, the True Believers in the Church will preach the gospel with Power and with Signs following. That is the only way we can prove what is the True Word of God, because the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH: John 14:16-17 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 14:26 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 15:26 26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: John 16:13 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. THE POWER: Acts 1:8 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 4:33 33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Acts 6:8 8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. 1 Cor 2:5 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

16

1Thes 1:5 5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. REMEMBER: 2 Tim 3:1-2 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 2 Tim 3:5 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. SIGNS AND WONDER: The Gospel cannot be fully preached without Signs and Wonders. (Read the Study Guide “Signs & Wonders” by Timothy II). Rom 15:19 19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. When the Devil begins to imitate these Signs, then we know that the arrival of Jesus is very near! Many who say Signs are of the Devil, are using that as an excuse, because they have no Power and are relying on theology, charisma, or debate to win over those with itchy ears. But this is not the True Church! THE TRUE CHURCH: John 4:23-24 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. AMEN!!
