HCG Get Trim Diet Guide Before You Begin Before starting the diet, you should check with your doctor or health care professional, especially if you have any health concerns or conditions. Then prepare and buy the items you’ll need. Items you’ll need: HCG weight loss drops by HCG Get Trim Scale (preferably digital) Food scale (optional) Recipes (see our site) Multi-vitamins or nutritional supplements (make sure no sugar is added)

Planning Set your weight loss goal. It’s important to set a goal and decide how much weight you want to lose on this diet. Pick your start date. Women should start the day after their menstrual cycle ends. Record your weight measurements to keep track of your weight loss. Measure your chest, waist, abdomen, hips, thigh and upper arm. Record your weight as well. Take pictures when starting and every week after. Track progress by taking a photo at the beginning and a new one each week. You’ll be glad you made this visual record to keep you motivated and to compare “before” and “after.” Start planning your meals. Plan your meals for at least the first week of the diet and shop for ingredients. This will help you avoid temptation and adjust to the new meal plan. Submit photos with a comment or testimonial. Tips for Success Try to make your meals as appealing as possible to avoid boredom. Portion your meat ahead of time and freeze or refrigerate enough for the week ahead to make cooking easier. Buy organic fruits and vegetables, if possible. Read the ingredients of everything you buy. Even a minor variation on the diet can slow your weight loss drastically. Don’t use any skincare products that have fats or oils. Mineral oil (baby oil) is acceptable. Don’t change your current workout routine while on the diet. If you’re not exercising now, wait until the stabilization phase to start. Take photos each week. These photos can become a motivational tool as you watch the physical changes happening to your body.

Phase 1: Loading (2 Days) In this phase, you’re allowed to eat fattening, high-fat foods including whole milk, cheese, eggs, fatty meats, peanut butter, ice cream, chocolate and bread. This will build your fat reserves and will help prevent hunger the first few days of the diet. Don’t skip this step or you will suffer with a lower energy level. Also, start the first day by taking your HCG weight loss drops. Place 10-12 drops under your tongue. Hold for 60 seconds then swallow. Wait 10 minutes before eating or drinking. Continue taking the drops 3 times a day throughout Phase 2 (in the morning, 30 minutes before lunch and 30 minutes before dinner).

Phase 2: The HCG Diet (21-40 Days) Now that you’ve stocked up on fat and the HCG is absorbed into your body, it’s time to begin Phase 2. Continue taking your HCG Get Trim weight loss drops as directed and start the 500- or 800-calorie diet as well. (Refer to our recipes online for either diet.) No sugars or fatty foods should be eaten during this phase. Clients have lost weight ranging from ½ pound to 2 pounds a day during this time, so the length of this phase is affected by how much weight you want to lose and how many calories you’re consuming a day (500 or 800). (Vegetarians tend to lose ½ pound per day.) Weigh yourself every morning to keep track.

To lose 15-20 pounds — diet for up to 21 days To lose more than 20 pounds — diet for up to 40 days (see note below) After 40 days — if you still have weight to lose, stop taking the drops and stop the diet for 3 weeks, then resume. Don’t repeat the high-fat loading days. Note: You must do the reduced calorie diet plan for 21 days, even if you reach your weight loss goal before the time is over. This resets your hypothalamus and thus your metabolism—an important step. If taking the diet for 40 days or 6 weeks: Take drops only six days a week so you don’t build up immunity to the HCG. Skip Sundays, for example, but continue with the meal plan.

Allowable Food Dr. Simeon created a diet with a very strict list of allowable food. Some of these items were chosen based on his research and not strictly for calorie-related reasons. To achieve success with the HCG diet, don’t deviate from this list. You can divide the food into meals as you choose. It’s best to focus on lunch, dinner, two snacks and, if on the 800-calorie diet, a light breakfast.

Don’t eat the same meat twice in one day. Also, trim fat before cooking and don’t use oils or sugar during preparation.Note for vegetarians: Take either 8 ounces of milk, ½ cup of cottage cheese or ½ cup of non-fat plain yogurt as your protein.

Zucchini Note: Although the original protocol doesn’t specify vegetable servings, we recommend one serving of 3 ½ ounces. Also, vegetables should be eaten raw or steamed. After the 21st day, vegetables can be grilled or stir-fried with a light spray of cooking oil. Serve only one type of vegetable in the same meal.

Bread — One Serving Twice a Day (500-calorie diet) 1 slice of Melba toast 1 Grissini Breadstick

Beverages — Unlimited Try to consume at least 2 liters of fluid a day, especially water. Water (Preferably Distilled Water) Sparkling Water Black Coffee Tea Only 1 tablespoon of milk per day allowed Sweeteners: Only use Stevia or saccharin (Sweet ‘n Low)

Spice & Seasonings — Unlimited Seasoning is important to boost variety in this diet. Make sure any spices you use don’t contain sugar. All powdered seasonings are allowed, including salt. Be careful of combination seasonings, which may contain sugar. 1 tablespoon allowed of vinegar, lemon juice and lime juice. Sweeteners like Stevia are allowed in any amount. Other sweeteners with more than 0 calories per serving aren’t allowed. A typical day on the 500-calorie diet could look like this: Breakfast: Black coffee or tea sweetened with a non-caloric sweetener like Stevia Lunch: Lemon chicken or 3.5 oz. serving of protein Green salad or vegetable serving (use lemon or apple cider vinegar for dressing) 1 Melba toast or bread serving 1 orange or a fruit serving Water, coffee or tea Dinner: Extra lean beef patty or 3.5 oz. serving of protein Spinach or vegetable serving Grissini toast or bread serving Water, coffee or tea Snack: 1 apple or fruit serving Note: Gum is allowed as long as it’s flavored with xylitol. Phase 3: Stabilization (Day 24 or 43) In Phase 3 you’ll stop using the HCG weight loss drops and begin increasing your caloric intake for three days. Continue to avoid sugar and starch, however, while you slowly add foods back into your diet. Dairy, fats, oils, nuts can be added to your diet, but stay away from sweet fruit like mangoes and bananas. Once you feel your weight has stabilized, you can add other foods like breads, starches, sugar and sweet food. Add them in moderation. At this point, you may find it easier to choose healthier foods and you may even crave them. You’ll also learn which foods your body won’t digest well. These should be avoided.

Phase 4: Keeping the Weight Off

Congratulations on reaching this stage and completing the HCG diet! Now that you’ve reached your weight goal, focus on keeping the weight off and making healthy choices. Continue to weigh yourself every morning. If you notice a weight gain of 2 or more pounds, a “steak day” will help you regain your goal. During a steak day, don’t eat or drink anything all day except for water. At dinner, eat a large steak. Later that night you can have an apple or a tomato.
