The Harvest Trail Run and Festival The Harvest Trail Run and Festival is perfect for a family outing. Not only do you get to challenge yourself with a great trail run in scenic Firemen’s Park, but you and your family can also enjoy the Harvest Festival. The festival has hay rides and corn mazes for the kids, as well as different craft vendors and demonstrations. The food is provided by the Stamford Centre Volunteer Firemen’s Association. There are delicious BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs, as well as hot cider to warm you up on that first day of autumn. Firemen’s Park offers the perfect setting for this festival, with the foliage all in the warm reds, yellows and oranges that we all think of for the fall. Enjoy great food and celebrate the harvest amongst the tranquil scenery of changing leaves in this beautiful natural park. The Run (Walkers are welcome) The run combines open fields, “groomed” trails, single track and abandoned dirt roads with a few hills thrown in for good measure. The last ½ to ¼ kilometre is a challenge as participants will climb about 100 meters to the finish.

Harvest Trail Run – A special Fundraiser This event is a joint venture of the Stamford Center Volunteer Firemen’s Association and the St. Catharines Road Runners and Walkers to help support the Adventure Running Kids® program which is run out of Firemen’s Park in the spring and fall. ADVENTURE RUNNING KIDS® is an adventure running training and racing program open to boys and girls aged 6-14. Their coaches and leaders not only challenge and teach kids to be stronger, tougher and faster runners while having an appreciation of our environment, but they also coach kids on the problem solving skills that are valuable in training, racing and life. ADVENTURE RUNNING combines trail running, night running, navigation, cross country running, obstacles and, during the winter, snowshoe running into a fun, challenging and often muddy eco-adventure.
