INTRODUCTION The SUNY Cobleskill Graphic Standards Guide was created to provide all SUNY Cobleskill faculty and staff with an easy-‐to-‐follow set of guidelines that encourages effortless support of the college’s visual identity. The success of SUNY Cobleskill’s brand identity depends on the consistent use of these standards in all communications created for the College, both internally and externally. This includes advertising, recruitment materials, student communications, web sites, event promotions, announcements, signage, and merchandising. The Graphic Standards Guide shows exactly how the logo and it associated elements (i.e., typography, colors, etc.) can be used in a wide variety of situations. All usage of the logo must comply with these guidelines. The Office of College Relations/Communications and Marketing is available to answer any questions regarding the SUNY Cobleskill Graphic Standards and provides guidance as necessary.

The SUNY Cobleskill colors are black and orange, as are the logo colors. When using these colors in publications, the correct ink colors are Process Black and PMS 021 (Pantone Orange). The block-‐shaped symbol should be orange, the text black. In a one-‐color process, the logo should appear in solid black or solid orange. If it is necessary to use the logo in a one-‐ or two-‐color process that does not include black or orange ink, the logo should be printed in one color only, and its colors should not be transposed (the background should always be dark; the hills and rows below should always be light. The text font is Century Schoolbook (Century 725 BT for a MAC). The words “SUNY” and “Cobleskill” should always be in caps and bold text. The word “SUNY” should be the same width as the block of the logo, and the word “Cobleskill” should be approximately four times the length of “SUNY” (a 1:4 size ration). This should be accomplished by increasing the point size in the word “Cobleskill” rather than stretching the text.
