A1a – Humidity Sensors Determine how to connect miniature humidity sensors with Labview • Select a sensor • Determine how to send data to Labview – E.g. using Arduino microcontroller

• Program controller and Labview to record data • Determine accuracy of sensor using the dew point monitor

A1b - Dew point monitor Determine how to connect the available Vasala HMP230 dew point monitor to Labview using the serial connection • Determine protokol and necessary commands • Program Labview to compare the digital with the analog reading • Determine the deviation between the two of them over a range of different dew point temperatures

A3 Kill A Watt hacking • Determine how to feed the reading of a Kill A Watt power meter into Labview • Compare result with measurements obtained using I*V calculation and ohmic loads • Ideas for hacks are available online, e.g: http://hackedgadgets.com/2009/01/27/power-monitoring-using-a-hacked-kill-a-watt/ http://hackaday.com/tag/kill-a-watt/

A4 - Liquid level sensing using thermistors • Build a monitor for liquid level using e.g. thermistors • Connect thermistors in series to and then to power supply to warm them up • Measure voltage across each thermistor to determine resistance – Using DAQ system and Labview

• Based on the measurements determine the liquid level in Labview
