If you have a previously used Chromebit, or have made a mistake while installing the Giant Media Player you will have to wipe the device clean and start over. Instructions to wipe the device are on page 4 of this document. 1. Connect the AC power-adapter, mouse and keyboard to the TV & Chromebit. (See Chromebit instruction manual for details) 2. Switch the Chromebit on. 3. Select the input channel that the Chromebit is using via your TVs remote control “Input” button. 4. Choose language and keyboard. Enter WiFi network name and password. Click Continue then Accept and Continue.

Do not disconnect your player or reset the Chromebit. Once you have completed the installation process, please email your Display Name to [email protected] . You will receive an email confirmation once the videos have been linked to your display name. Once videos are linked to your display name they should automatically start playing from your Giant Media Player (Chromebit).

How to wipe clean asus CHROMEBIT

If you have a previously used Chromebit, or have made a mistake while installing the Giant Media Player you will have to wipe the device and start over. Instructions to wipe the devise are below.

What you will need to get started: 1. Google Chromebit Media Player and it’s instruction manual 2. TV Monitor that is HDMI compatible 3. Keyboard (USB or wireless) 4. Mouse (USB or wireless) 5. A Gmail email address 1. Turn off the Chrombit 2. Put a pushpin or paperclip into the recovery button hole shown here:

3. Press the power button on the device while holding the recovery button with your pushpin or paperclip. 4. Press Ctrl + D, then press the recovery button with the pushpin or paperclip again. 5. The device will reboot and the screen will display a red exclamation mark. 6. Press Ctrl + D, The Chrombit will reboot and start the transition to developer mode. This clears all local data. The deletion takes approximately 10 minutes. 7. After the process is complete, press the spacebar at the bootup screen. Press ENTER to return to the verified mode. The device will reboot and re-enter verified mode.

Once your Chromebit has been wiped clean, attempt to install the Giant Media Player again.

How to change wifi settings

If you change your WiFi settings in your store or wish to move the Giant Media Player to a new WiFi network you will have to sign into the new WiFi network. Instructions are below. 1. Start Chromebit 2. Press Ctrl+Alt+S 3. Click WiFi symbol on bottom right of screen (may be slightly off of screen) 4. Search for your WiFi network 5. Enter credentials 6. Once connected, restart Chromebit 7. Upon restart device should connect to new WiFi network, download videos and start playing.
