Superior features of an Omnistor awning Product features that are on the majority of Omnistor awnings. These features increase product confidence and give added value to the awning and vehicle.
Omnistor top-quality awning fabric all Omnistor PVC fabrics are non-fading, waterproof and washable, can be stored when wet (for a short period), are high frequency welded and stitched with weather resistant yarn. The fabric is colourproof and has good UV-protection and heat excluding qualities.
Support legs with Quick-Release system The Omnistor awnings are designed in such way that one can clearly see how the support legs are to be released – simply release the leg from its stored position and it drops down from the front of the awning into the upright position ready for height adjustment. Because of the vertical release of the support legs, there is less risk on damaging the vehicle. TiP: in rainy weather, lower one side of the awning in such a way that the water can run off.
Quick-Lock system Thanks to the unique Quick Lock system – undoubtedly the most user friendly system on the market – you can adjust your awning to the correct height with ease.

PATENTED LOCK
Monobloc The monobloc is the arm support that connects the retractable arm to the box and is made of DURaLUMiniUM. in relation to the monobloc, the spring arms hinge horizontally as well as vertically. in this way, upward or downward movements of the awning and the vehicle are absorbed and apply no extra pressure to the vehicle wall! This unique system gives extreme stability to the Omnistor awning.
Extra sturdy because of double steel cables Two rigid retractable arms (53 or 58mm width) with twin cables allow twice as much pressure as the traditional arms. These cables ensure that an Omnistor awning is more wind resistant and has stronger fabric tension.

Telescopic hand crank all our spring arm awnings have a handy telescopic hand crank with two clips for storing the hand crank. Lengths are 102cm to 155cm for the series 5 awnings and Omnistor 8000 and 130cm to 190cm for series 6 awnings. The Omnistor 5102 has a folding hand crank (no storage clips).
Support leg fixation to the vehicle side wall [1] or to the ground [2] all the Omnistor awnings are fitted with support legs in the lead rail, to reduce forces on the wall or the roof of your vehicle and to place the front rail in the correct position once opened. side fixation (1) The support legs can easily be placed in the special holders on the side wall (all Omnistor awnings except the 5002 OTD - 1.40m, 5102 and W-150). ground fixation (2) By using the ground pegs the support legs can be fixed to the ground.

You use the telescopic hand crank to control the gear more smoothly. it is impossible to roll up the fabric incorrectly because of the built-in end stroke. The supporting legs are easily set using the Quick Lock system. The Quick Release system ensures an easy release of the support legs

OMnisTOR 8000
Construction
The Omnistor 8000 is an extremely strong awning. The awning box is higher and wider and the front profile consists of one part so that sagging is reduced to a minimum. The retractable arms are 58mm wide (2) and provide perfect fabric tension. To guarantee this fabric tension, the retractable arms are fitted with integrated tension arms (3) which slide out automatically when fully open and which can be locked. (11) The front profile is fitted on both sides with a safety lock so that the awning stays securely closed during driving. When the device is opened, these locks

open automatically with a slight click. Installation
standard installation is carried out by using the supplied standard adapter set (4) or by hooking into the awning rail (5). This awning also fits all adapter systems from the series 5 awnings. For specific adapters, see pages 36-39.
Comfort
a revolutionary and futuristic feature is the provision of cable channels for 12V cables in the front section, retractable arms, and awning box (6). This awning of the future will undoubtedly one day be fitted with all sorts of accessories such as led lights (art. nr. 50 0000 28/29) , loudspeakers, aerials

or electric insect catchers (in development). The front section is fitted with a drainage system which disposes of water and waste and is easy to clean due to its shape. (9) You can store the handle with the two supplied clips (7) and you can put the support legs on the ground or in holders on the wall. Optional
The Omnistor 8000 is available with an integrated 230V fuse motor (8) with remote control. (10) The motor takes over the function of the security locks. a manual awning can be retro fitted with a motor. You can install LED lighting on the inside lead rail of your Omnistor 8000 awning. (see page 33)

Design
The Omnistor 5003 is a new and dynamic design with awning casing and end caps which blend in with your vehicle perfectly. as regards style and design, the Omnistor 5003 will fit perfectly with the latest trends.
Security
The Omnistor 5003 is made of the strongest and most stable profiles. The sturdy and robust spring arms ensure rigid and maximum fabric tension. (4) The patented security locks on both ends ensure that your awning stays securely closed once it has been closed. (5) The locks automatically open only when winding out the awning. This will prevent the awning from opening whilst driving. 4
Quality
The new Omnistor 5003 opens in a more horizontal position. This means that vans and lower motorhomes or caravans with a door which opens tightly against the awning can easily be fitted with the Omnistor 5003. The Omnistor 5003 can be assembled in different ways: you can use the adapter set which is supplied as standard or hook the awning into the existing rail or use one of the many adapter sets for specific vehicle models.
Accessories in addition to the safari Residence and safari Room, the Rain & sun block sides and fronts are also available, as well as all tension rafters. 5

• Elegant design • Security Locks on both sides • Ultra rapid gear • Fully equipped The Omnistor 5002 now fits even more elegantly within the current design of motorhomes due to its end caps and modern design. This awning has all the excellent features of an Omnistor awning and presents a modern and elegant appearance.
Operation
The major advantages are an ultra rapid gear (1) (one third less rotations), the user-friendly telescopic hand crank (up to 155cm), a built-in end stroke which ensures that the fabric cannot be rolled up incorrectly, the Quick Release system for an easy release of the support legs and the well known Quick Lock system for easy adjustment of the support legs.
Construction
The retractable arms have twin cables for maximum fabric tension and the front profile ensures perfect closing every time. a double security lock on both sides of the front profile avoids unwanted opening of the awning whilst travelling. The roller tube has a 48mm diameter.

Installation
standard installation is done by hooking the awning into the existing rail (2) or by means of an adapter set with counter plates, supplied as standard (3). Other adapters page 36-39.
Comfort
Two clips for storing the hand crank are supplied as standard. also supplied as standard are items for the installation of a safari-Room. The support legs can be installed to the vehicle wall by using the mounting brackets supplied or to the ground (with exception of the 5002 1,40m).
Extra
For awnings of 4m length a tension rafter is supplied as standard. Built-in 12V motors with emergency operation are available from 2.65m length upwards. The motor cannot be installed retrospectively on a manual awning! Note: the Omnistor 5002 OTD (1.40m) is a shorter version for installation above the door or window. The OTD (4) doesn’t have any support legs. The Omnistor 5002 is available with anodised box in fabrics 03 and 04.

The adapter is installed onto these profiles and can then be moved so that the awning fits perfectly to the roof edge or caravan rail which remains free. Drilling through the roof is NOT necessary! Operation
The awning is operated by hand (1). The support legs and tension rafters are equipped with the Quick Lock system (2).
Construction
The roller tube, which is also the front profile, of the Omnistor Caravan style is cylindrical (3). Because of this, the fabric can be easily and smoothly wound in and out. The larger length of the front profile means that the fabric is much wider than awnings from other brands. Furthermore the front profile is more robust because of the larger diameter. The support legs and tension rafters are concealed in the roller tube and are easy to access for setting up

the awning (4). all parts are stored in a PVC cover that can be slid easily into the caravan awning rail.

OMnisTOR CaRaVan style
Installation
The Omnistor Caravan style is slid into the caravan rail. The cover is opened by means of a zip (5). This awning can also be easily removed from your vehicle. New! Two end plugs are supplied as standard. These plugs can be slid into the caravan rail and prevent the awning from moving in the rail.
Comfort
Your awning can be set up in seconds and set up takes little space. The support legs can be installed to the vehicle wall or to the ground. The tension arm guard (6) distributes the pressure on the caravan wall and prevents movement of the tension arms. it also has a wind security feature 4
that prevents the tension arms from being pulled away. Extra
a supplementary tension rafter is included as standard with awnings from 4.00m upwards, and is available as an option for lenghts 2.60m till 3.50m. (Art. nr. 51 4069 13) a second tension rafter on the outside of the awning allows the possibility to attach a Rain Blocker side.

Operation
The 5102 has an ultra rapid gear that is operated with a hand crank of 90 cm (1). The end stroke system avoids rewinding the fabric in the wrong way and the height of the support legs can be easily adjusted with the Quick Lock system.
Installation
With the help of the two supplied adapters, it is possible to install the awning onto the roof rail that is standard on the T5 Multivan (2). Please note: This rail is optional on the Transporter. For further information, please contact your Volkswagen dealer.

Motor kit for the Omnistor 8000 a retro fitted motor kit accessory has been developed exclusively for the Omnistor 8000. an awning that has already been installed can easily be retro fitted with an integrated 230V motor with remote control. The installation of the motor only needs a simple connection to the 230V supply, (with a 12V connection you can use an inverter - not included) as well as a relay so that the motor will not work whilst driving. The adjustments for the open and closed position of the awning are fully digital and not mechanical, this guarantees that the lead rail will always close correctly. The built in processor will modify these adjustments continuously during the complete life span of your awning. The motor of the Omnistor 8000 has an emergency key, hidden in the LH end cap, to ensure that the awning can be operated at any time, even in a power interruption. LED lights for the Omnistor 8000 Create that special atmosphere by installing LED lighting on the inside of the lead rail of your Omnistor 8000 awning. LED lights have a longer life span and consume lower levels of electricity. Your awning has a standard groove in the front rail where the LED’s can be placed in between the spring arms. The 12V cabling goes through the cable channels of the tension arms to the awning box, and subsequently to the vehicle. The distance between each LED is 13cm. The seams of the safari-Residence are welded instead of stitched for the most demanding sections. This ensures a stronger connection.
Installation
The front panel is slid into the lead rail of the awning. For the connection between the awning fabric and side panel, the awning fabric is kept in place by using a clamping profile (1). The side panel is then inserted into the same profile to complete the connection. in this way a wind and waterproof connection is achieved without deformation to the fabric. The side panels are

joined to the front profile by means of a synthetic double profile (2). The connection of the side panels to the vehicle is completed by sliding the side panels into a mast profile which is then placed by the vehicle wall (3). This mast profile can be adjusted in height and has a double rubber profile which seals the gap between the side panel and the vehicle wall. Both clamp and mast profiles were developed for maximum stability of the safari-Residence. The open space between vehicle and ground can be overcome by installing the standard supplied windslip. 3

The front panel can be rolled up separately and the front panel window has a zipper from 3.50m onwards. The left hand side panel has a mosquito screen and PVC curtain (4). Available for most Omnistor awnings.
Installation
The front is slid into the lead rail of the awning. The side panels are hung up by means of poles introduced between the box and lead rail. The side panels are joined to the front profile by means of a synthetic double profile (1). The awning fabric is joined to the side panel by using the tent clips (2). The anti-slip strips joined with the clips ensure a more wind proof connection. The sidewall allows you to connect to the vehicle by pressing the foam band against the vehicle wall. a windslip is supplied for the opening at the bottom of the vehicle.

For extra stability, all Thule Omni-Bike elite models are recognizable by their trade mark design of oversized oval tubes, that give a very stable frame. The lowest mounting rail divides the load forces evenly over a large surface of the wall. The top mounting rail can be mounted as an option. The new rack lock can be used to secure your rack in its horizontal position, keeping your loaded carrier stable while driving. During the design, special care has been taken to prevent any sharp edges on the bike carrier, according to legal standards.
Ease of use
The new rail slider with wheel holders makes placing the bikes easy: you can slide the rail both from side to side and backwards and forwards, even with the bikes on it! Take all the space you need when placing the bike and slide it in its final position afterwards. The second (and optional third) rail comes with this feature; the first (and optional fourth) rails have fixed positions. The general rail distance has been enlarged as well. User-friendly bike holders come with every Thule Omni-Bike elite.

The sturdy, timeless Thule Omni-Bike elite appearance with its anodized oval tubes and new bike rails matches the current state of RV design. Plastic and aluminum die-cast parts make a high quality finishing. all four fixation points are integrated in smooth mounting rails with invisible fixation points.
Installation
The new mounting rail makes the Thule Omni-Bike elite bike carrier easy to install. Operation
after lowering the bike rack into its lowest position, the bikes are easily installed and fixed in the bike rail by using the supplied bike holders. Just by pushing one button or by using the handcrank, the bikes are brought to their normal level. Use the straps to fasten the rack.

Operation
The apollo 100 opens at the rear and is fitted with a snap lock system: the lock secures automatically with a click when you close the box. The apollo 700 opens along the right hand side and has a safety central locking system which ensures that the key can only be removed when all locking points are securely closed (1).
Construction
The boxes are made of high impact-resistant material with a special UV protection, have a large capacity and are very space efficient in shape, but at the same time are very light.

The box lid is elegant light grey, while the base is black. Installation
Equipment supplied as stadard U-bolts (2), fitting for roof bars up to 80mm width. Once you have made the installation holes, you do not need any more tools to fit the box on the vehicle.

Installation

The Omni-step Manual is pulled out and pushed in by hand. The Omnistep 12V is operated by means of a design switch which combines perfectly with the interior of modern motorhomes (1).

The 12V motor meets CE and EMV standard. Construction
all Omni-steps have galvanised or aluminium frames. The step is made of anodised aluminium with safe rounded edges. For most of the steps, the side plates are in anodised aluminium as well. For improved strength, the Omni-step 12V Double has double profiles on both sides (2). Both current and new developments regarding our products are continuously tested. The required demands do largely surpass the European En1646 standard! Maximim static capacity 200kg. 2
Safety
a switch for connection to a warning light in the vehicle is supplied as standard. For your safety, the Omni-step edges are rounded and fluorescent in the dark (3). Danger of slipping is avoided because the step is in ribbed aluminium. all 12V alu steps are now equipped with anti-slip foot boards as standard (3). Your current 12V alu step (460 and 550/double 380, 440 and 500) can be retro fitted with the new anti-slip foot boards.
Options
For your safety in the dark, you have the option to equip your Omni-step 12V with a set of LED’s. One set per foot board. suitable for 12V steps from

Even when this self-ventilating roof light is closed, it still has 100cm² of ventilation. The Omni-Vent is available with or without the new improved integrated ventilator.

The Omni-Vent is available either with or without a 12V fan. The standard Omni-Vent 12V fan is a userfriendly model. This fan has 12 speeds (1) for both extracting and intake by pushing an easy to use switch. also available as a retro-fit kit for existing Omni-Vents. The new Omni-Vent ventilator is unique because of its high level of air circulation with a minimum of energy consumption. The product has been completely redesigned so that the ventilator can operate as quietly as possible at high speed.

Construction The interior frame and curtain frame have been completely re-designed. side operating mechanism allows a completely free central opening. The integrated hinge ensures that it is waterproof over the full length (2) also the large dimensions of the outer dome ensure that the water is drained away from the opening. The roof light has an aerodynamic shape (3) so an extra spoiler is not necessary. all parts are made of weatherproof synthetic material.

The outer aBs fixation frame guarantees a good adhesion and thus ensures better sealing.
Comfort Removable fly screen (5) and roller blind (4) are standard and have been completely redesigned. The fly screen is fitted standard on all Omni-Vent roof lights without a 12V ventilator and can be opened very easily. The convenient roller blind is also fitted as standard with every OmniVent and can be rolled up in three phases. The roof light can be opened whilst keeping the fly screen closed. By using the winding knob the dome can be opened and set to any required position. an Omni-Vent roof light can be upgraded at a later date with a 12V fan if required.

Important! if you own the old type of Omni-Vent (grey), you will first need to replace the curtain frame with the new version. The lights are easily turned on or off by means of a switch.
