Chemical resistant coatings such as Halar, PFA, Tefzel, Kynar and PTFE are ideal for processes which require aggressive acids to attain optimal cleaning, because they allow longer service life over uncoated baskets and tanks. Delicate parts which are prone to surface blemishes can benefit from lining baskets with these materials as they provides a softer surface to prevent scratches during loading and unloading. Payback on delicate components, which can be determined in reduction of scrap rate or re-work costs of delicate parts once basket lining has occurred, can be very rapid.
