CRITICAL STEPS: The following steps are critical and must be performed EXACTLY as specified to ensure proper installation. ● Location of the lights must be followed exactly as described in this instruction ● Posi-Tap ™ instructions must be specifically followed as described. ● Cables must be properly secured to prevent rattling and/or snagging on any moving parts or limbs e.g. cup holder harness running through centre console close to handbrake

NOTE: USE CAUTION WHEN REMOVING/RE-INSTALLING TRIM COMPONENTS TO AVOID DAMAGE, SCRATCHES, BREAKING OF CLIPS AND/OR INTERIOR TRIM PANELS. MOVE ALL TRIM COMPONENTS TO A PROTECTED AREA.

Remove lower finisher (under steering column).

Remove (2) 10mm bolt located behind fuel door and trunk release.

b)

Remove T-20 Torx head screw located behind fuel door and trunk release bracket.

c)

Remove panel by releasing clips around edges.

d)

Remove (2) #2 Philips screws and remove DDL connector from under dash trim.

Remove the interior parts as follows, with reference to the diagram on previous page.

Remove (1) captive #2 Philips screw.

Remove the panel by firmly pulling away from console, taking note of the (2) clips.

Remove console.

a)

Pull handbrake fully back to allow removal of console top.

b)

Detach trim around shifter using trim stick taking care not to damage the surfaces.

c)

Carefully remove the heated rear seat switch panel (if applicable) using trim stick.

d)

Remove (2) connectors.

e)

Note spring clips that retain top of center console. Carefully remove top and set aside

Prepare driver side light stick.

a)

Clean mounting area with alcohol wipe.

b)

Fix (1) 12.5 x 19 x 0.7mm adhesive pad at position 2 as shown - on LED side.

c)

Fix (1) 12.5 x 19 x 0.7mm adhesive pad at position 10 as shown - on LED side.

2)

Prepare passenger side light stick.

a)

Clean mounting area with alcohol wipe.

b)

Fix (1) 12.5 x 102mm x 0.7mm adhesive pad between edge of stick and position 8 as shown.

c)

Fix (1) 12.5 x 102mm x 0.7mm adhesive at position 4, leaving a small gap at the stick edge - as shown.

heater core as shown. Carefully pull light assembly and wiring to passenger footwell area. Leave the connector end of the wiring at the carpeted area below the centre of the I/P.

Prepare the surface with alcohol wipe. Peel tabs away from adhesive tape. Align with centre of area as shown (15mm from edge). Press light stick firmly into place. Place 11 inch cable ties through 3/16 holes to secure light stick to panel.

Finish installation of passenger light stick.

Prepare cupholders for LEDs.

Prepare center console for Encoder.

Fix template (B) to console as shown. Drill (1) 5/16" hole.

NOTE The hole position should be in a central position, 13mm inset from edge.

Snap in (2) LED lenses and retainers. Clean LED mounting area with alcohol wipe. Peel double-sided tape liner and place each cupholder light.

Insert encoder in hole, routing wire as shown. Install 11mm Lock Nut.

Do not install knob at this time.

12) Secure cupholder cabling.

Foam Tape

Using grey foam tape, secure cable to side of cupholder to prevent movement.

NOTE: ENSURE THAT NO CABLING INTERFERES WITH MOVING PARTS SUCH AS HANDBRAKE. Fig. 12 Fig. 13

Route encoder and LED wires together as shown using (3) 4" cable ties to secure (loosely) to existing wiring. Lower the center console back into place Pull the cabling through from the centre of the I/P until tight.

Install service loop and locate control module. Route the encoder and cup-holder cabling along the existing harness. Secure the cabling, leaving a service loop of 100mm, with cable ties at intervals of

120mm thereafter. Tighten all cable tie(s). Cut and use foam tape where necessary to prevent rattling or snagging.

Trim all cable tie(s).

Continued Fix 58mm x 82mm x 1mm adhesive pad to underside of Module, covering screw head. Place control module in a central position beneath the I/P. Reinstall center console.

Tap vehicle wire.

Remove cap (slot side) from tap body. Slide cap around vehicle wire. Tighten the tap TIGHT with finger pressure.

NOTE: Do not re-use the tap for subsequent reinstallation. Figures are not to scale. 2)

Inspect the tap to ensure correct installation.

NOTE: Avoid putting pressure on the vehicle wire and tap for the remainder of the installation.

Tap accessory wire.

Remove tap (non-pierce) side from tap. Remove the protective stub from the wire. Insert wire through the non-pierce side opening.

Spread the individual strands into fan shape. Insert wire into the tap body and ensure that it is all the way in.

f)

Tighten the tap TIGHT with finger pressure.

Confirm the tapped accessory wire.

Inspect the tap to ensure correct installation. Test the signal to ensure that it is working properly.

If a vehicle wire is being used by another accessory and a posi-Tap is present, tap the accessory wire NOT the vehicle wire. Special screws may be used to secure the BCM to the vehicle. Use a GRABIT or other special tools to remove screws.



NOTE - There are four wires in the power harness for this kit. They are: Brown - Room Lamp Circuit Black - Ground Green - B+ ( battery ) Blue - Accessory Windshield

Locate the BCM (Body Control Module) by the driver side lower panel next to fuse box. If your vehicle is equipped with Intelligent Key, the BCM will have four connectors. If your vehicle is equipped without Intelligent Key, the BCM will only have three connectors. See caution before proceeding.

For Intelligent Key type BCM, disconnect connector as shown in Fig 18.

Notice the thick harness across the top of the BCM. Locate the first connector

Clean mounting area with alcohol wipe Peel off double-sided tape liner from long bracket. Peel off double-sided tape liner from medium bracket. Install U-nut over end of bracket. Stick brackets to finisher with holes holes aligned. Install (2) Philips screws through finisher holes and screw into U-nut.
