GENERAL PURPOSE OVENS LABEC General Purpose Ovens are an economical way for general laboratory or industrial drying applications. Features: Gravity heating provides gentle heat through the chamber while fan-forced increases temperature uniformity and drying times. Stainless steel interior with attractive baked enamel exterior. Removable/adjustable wire shelves at 2cm spacings cater for all sizes. Temperature controlled by dual L.E.D display digital solid state controller with thermocouple sensor. Control accuracy 0.1ºC. Temperature range for standard models: Ambient +5º to 220ºC. Temperature fluctuation ± 0.5ºC. Temperature range for high temperature models: Ambient +5º to 300ºC. (Fan-forced is recommended on these models). Long life silicone gasket door seal prevents the heat loss with a positive door latch. Top mounted controller displays the actual temperature and the set temperature with P.I.D and self auto-tuning capabilities. Long life heating elements mounted inside the chamber provide excellent heat dissipation and faster heatup times. All surfaces are surrounded by a minimum of 50mm of fibreglass insulation, keeping the exterior surface temperature cooler. Fan-forced ovens can be fitted with top mounted fans to introduce fresh air into the chamber and remove high levels of moisture. Options include: timer, glass viewing door, custom sizes, programmable temperature controllers and safety overtemperature controller.

“PERFORMER” OVENS LABEC Fan-forced “Performer” Ovens are built for stability testing or drying where temperature uniformity is essential. Open wire elements and a high speed fan in an air jacket heating system provide extremely uniform temperatures. These ovens feature: Standard temperature range: Ambient +5ºC to 220ºC. Uniformity at 105ºC across entire chamber ± 0.5ºC.* Insulation on all surfaces, with stainless steel interior and attractive baked enamel exterior. Temperature controlled by a dual display solid state digital microprocessor controller. Adjustable/removable wire shelves with spacings every 2cm. Door seals on a silicone gasket with positive action latch. High speed fan motors provide even distribution through the entire chamber. Glass viewing window in the exterior door is available. Left or right hand opening door available on request. ‘Tri-wall’ heating system uses an air jacket for improved uniformity. High temperature models are available: 300ºC, 400ºC, 500ºC and 600ºC.

DEHYDRATING OVENS The LABEC range of Dehydrating Ovens are designed to provide uniform heat where high moisture is required to be removed rapidly. Perfect for soil drying applications, these ovens feature: Temperature control by dual display digital solid state controller and thermocouple sensor which operate the long life elements and sealed fan motor. Temperature range: Ambient +5ºC to 200ºC. Temperature fluctuation: ± 1ºC. Adjustable/removable chrome plated wire shelving. The chamber door seals with a positive latch on silicone gasket. The air flow is forced down through heating elements and evenly through the chamber and out the top through two air vents. Exterior cabinet is steel finished in baked enamel. The internal material is high-grade stainless steel. Options include: timer and increased power for faster drying.

GLASSWARE DRYERS LABEC Glassware Drying Ovens provide an economical way to dry glassware. The four available models use an internal element, gravity or fan convection to make drying fast and reliable. These dryers feature: Temperature range: Ambient +5ºC to +80ºC. Toughened glass doors allowing for easy loading. Adjustable shelving positions with removable wire shelves. The exterior is attractively painted steel. FLAME PROOF OVENS A purpose built oven which conforms to AS1681-1974 for use with flammable materials. These ovens feature: Stainless steel interior with horizontal airflow which passes once only through the chamber. Attractively painted steel exterior. A top mounted blow-out port for any explosion. The door seals on a silicone gasket to ensure uniform temperatures and features a safety microswitch which cuts power to the heaters when opened. Airflow detection and purge timers are fitted as standard with an adjustable timer for the user to select the time to switch the oven off. Digital controller for temperature with control accuracy 0.1ºC. Temperature range: Ambient +5ºC to 200ºC. Adjustable shelf positions every 2cm apart. Specifically designed for drying paint samples and solvents.

VACUUM DRYING OVENS LABEC Vacuum Drying Ovens are manufactured from aluminium or stainless steel for high temperatures. Either a cylindrical (models VO1, VO2, VO3 and VO4) or square (model VO5) vessel, using an internal heating element, gives uniform temperature whilst under vacuum. The door seals on a heavy duty silicone gasket. Additional features: Standard purge and vacuum valves fitted on either side of the chamber. Temperature ranges: Ambient +5º to 150ºC, 300ºC and 400ºC. NATA certificate available upon request. Vacuum pumps available for many different applications for varying water and acid levels. Digital temperature controller with accuracy ± 0.1ºC and an analogue vacuum gauge on the front panel. Toughened glass viewing window is standard on low temperature models (optional on high temperature models). A single central shelf provides heat dissipation whilst under vacuum. The VO5 model has multiple shelf positions. Models VO1 and VO2 are aluminium vessels, while models VO3, VO4 and VO5 are stainless steel vessels.

MUFFLE FURNACES CERAMIC ENGINEERING Muffle Furnaces are designed for ashing or melting applications. Other features include: Ergonomic modular design, manufactured from attractively painted steel and stainless steel. Double skin construction allows a cool exterior even at 1200ºC. Temperature control accuracy 0.1ºC. Digital microprocessor PID control with ramp, soak and dwell timer are standard. Standard models are 1200ºC maximum. A rear vent tube is also fitted as standard. Door hot face opens away from operator, providing easier loading and better access into the furnace. Lightweight ceramic fibre lining allows the furnace to heat up faster and has lower energy requirements.

SPLIT TUBE FURNACES CERAMIC ENGINEERING Split Tube Furnaces feature: Single or multi zone heating within a single furnace chamber. Horizontal or vertical positioning with customer specified internal diameter and heated lengths. Programmable controllers and full safety features, providing very uniform temperatures up to +1300ºC. High density insulation maintains cool exterior even at higher temperatures. Each zone can be individually controlled by controller or RS232/RS485 computer interface to give even heat across the entire length.
